New blog header!

2

Now the blog has a slightly new and fresher look! What do you think? :) Great fun with response!

It was a whole day in photoshop to get all five arms in the mirror image I can talk about haha. I'm not really good at photoshop and had a photographer who knows how to “do” see me work, he would probably have banged his head in the wall of frustration haha. But it's just like with make-up - it is not the road there that matters but the end result is good ♥

I have not changed the design of the blog more than changed pictures and colors, but it makes an extreme difference :)

The banner under the header where it says "Imakeyousmile.se in collaboration with Creativemakeup.se" is really only to avoid marking out all the links that go to my own webshop. So that it will be quite legally. These are not advertising links but all advertising that goes to my own website is considered sponsored because it benefits my company.

Anyway, I think it feels very fresh and nice in here now! Hope you like it too :)

Christmas gift tips from Sephora!

Last week I received the world's cutest press release with Christmas gift tips from Sephora! Such great products!

I have not tested all the products yet but I like the brands Too Faced and Formula X and since Christmas is soon here, I thought I would show them to you anyway so you have time to buy them as a Christmas present for someone you like. Or to yourselves;)

img_2394_111

The first thing I saw in the package was this kit from Too Faced - The Chocolate Shop Gift which contains liquid lipstick, mascara, eyeshadow primer and a LARGE palette with 21 eyeshadows, a highlighter, a blush and a bronzer! Best combo, you can do anything with this! :)

img_2396_111

How nice ?! ♥

img_2404_111

I have done a make-up with the eye shadows Huckleberry and Pound Cake which I will show you soon, so nice shadows! Did not want to wash off the makeup then! :)

img_2410_111

I have tested eyeshadow primer before and like it a lot! I have also tested the mascara and lipstick before but did not put it to the test properly.

The whole kit costs only 550 SEK, and it is pure frame find for such very nice products!

img_2416_111

The second kit is Formula X - X in the City which is a small town with 10 mini nail polishes in great colors! When you took it out of the transparent packaging, it could not stand well, however, so it was a little difficult to take photos. But great anyway!

img_2423_111

On the back of each "building" with nail polish you can write "to" and "from", the perfect Christmas present :) Super good if you give it to a family too! For example, write "To the Rönnblad family" on the Christmas present and then "To Helena" "To Mia" "To Malin" "To Linda" on the back of each part. (Yes it's my sisters name haha).

img_2428_111

Look so nice colors !! EVERYONE is great! Which do you like the most?

img_2435_111

The glittery colors and the red are definitely my favorites ♥

The Formula X kit costs SEK 300, so SEK 30 per nail polish and four Christmas presents in the same. Kap Both kits are available for purchase at Sephora.

Are there many who are ready with all the Christmas presents already? I have not even started yet! *Ashamed*

Audrey Hepburn Makeup Tutorial

I've been very Audrey Hepburn-inspired since I had a cozy day at home a few weekends ago and watched Breakfast at Tiffany's in the bathtub, so cozy movie!

I did not go all in with the outfit but have done a make-up inspired by Audrey Hepburn here :) Hope you like it!

audrey-hepbrun-makeup-black-white

I've been told I'm like Audrey Hepburn, what a compliment !! However, I think it's mostly because we both have a little "drip nose" haha. Or what do you think?

My hairstyle is made with two loose bangs!

Helena test - Wet n Wild Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer

It's always so boring to have to write a bad review about a product, but at the same time I want you not to have to spend money on products that do not live up to their promise.

There are few things I test that I really diss completely, usually it is quite constructive such as "certainly fits better on the one who has a dry skin" etc, it is enough because it is rarely sent out press samples on things that are bad hehe. But the new eyeshadow primer Photo Focus from Wet n Unfortunately, I really can not recommend to anyone .. I may be picky when it comes to eyeshadow primers, but this one is really not good!

img_2348_111

img_2355_111

img_2362_111

It "dissolves" the base make-up and settles unevenly on the eyelid
It dries quickly and the skin then becomes just as before, the shadow does not adhere a bit better, almost worse
If the eye makeup lasts longer or not, I have not even tested as I have to supplement with another primer over to even get the makeup nice.

I got this primer in a goodie bag at an event. The first time I used it for a make-up, I actually gave up, dabbed another eyeshadow primer over the entire eyeshadow and "started over" haha.

When I applied the primer on the eyelid, I first liked the formula. There are different types of eye shadow primers, some are wet and give extra intense colors, such as having a damp brush. Then there are more creamy primers that bring out the pigments in the eye shadow but are milder compared to a moist primer (none of them are better or worse but depend on what you want for results). And the first impression of this was that the formula was a perfect middle ground, creamy but still quite wet.

But… before I even had time to start applying the eyeshadows, the primer dried and then it was just like I did not even have an eyeshadow primer, as if it disappeared completely.

In addition, it dissolved my base make-up and made it look uneven and ugly at the edges of the primer. Look how full it became:

img_1202_111

Not nice.

img_2366_111

Here you see a picture where I applied eye shadow on the hand with and without primer, and there is no difference at all, if anything it became even weaker color with the primer underneath.

Wet n Wild is a budget brand with several good products, but this is despite the cheap price of only SEK 79 completely wasted money, then you can just as well not even have an eyeshadow primer, I think.

When I test products like this that do not work at all, I always wonder how it goes when the brand produces new products. Is no one testing and seeing if the stuff even works?

It definitely gets the worst rating from me, not recommended!

No, now I'll finish this primer-diss and run to the bus towards the salon :)
