Christmas gift tips - Make-up mirror with lamps

I blogged about my makeup mirror from sminkspegel.se when I got it as a Christmas present from my mother (the happiest girl !!!) and still get a lot of questions about it, not least now that Christmas presents are common :)

It was Christmas 2012 I got it, so 4 years ago (!) And most people who ask ask if it still works. The answer is yes! I am still completely in love with my wonderful mirror! It does not have a high ppa (price per use) I can tell. Used for several hours every day and we also have 4 of the larger make-up mirrors in the make-up studio at the salon.

♥ Perfect make-up light without shadows
♥ Great light to take photos in
♥ Lamps with dimmer so you can adjust the brightness
♥ LED lights & LED dimmer included
♥ Can both stand on a table or hang on the wall
♥ Available in several colors and patterns
♥ Available in several sizes, formats and even a full body mirror

img_1871_111

Some things have changed since then, so there is some info that is not correct if you read my old posts:

1. The price has changed a bit from time to time so there are different prices in all posts, but now better stuff is included + that they have free shipping! Now they cost 2520: - but have an introductory discount and reduced to 2160: - (not sure what it means, that the first one you buy is cheaper?). 4 years ago it cost 1500 SEK and 2 years ago 1800 SEK.

2. When my mother bought it, lamps were not included at all, I think, they were bought on the side of which the price increased. Then halogen lamps began to be included in the price, but I have always recommended buying LED lamps, although it will be quite expensive for so many. The light gets a little nicer and above all the halogen lamps get so heavenly warm. It's a little nice when you are frozen in the morning, but for a long time it was a bit of a sauna feeling and I have both burned myself and melted the eyeliner due to halogen lamps. BUT NOW specially made LED lamps and LED dimmers are included when you buy the mirror so you don't have to think about that anymore :)

3. Now the mirrors are available in several colors, sizes and patterns !! I think they were only in black and white when I got mine, and the full body mirror was not there either and I'm not sure if even the big mirrors were there. Now they also have a dressing table with a drawer that you can easily put up on the wall under the mirror, easily.

4. Now sminkspegel.se also has an international site called makeupmirror.com where they also send to other countries.

It's really fun with companies that are developing and that you have been involved almost since the start, I would sooo like to have a full body mirror at home! How nice :)

Something I wish for as another novelty is a nice bathroom cabinet with lamps like this, understand how nice the bathroom is!

You will find the entire range of make-up mirrors here and if you have any more thoughts, just shout ♥

Helena reviews - Comfort Zone Essential Micellar Water

I'm so alert and excited today so I can barely type because my fingers kind of run across the keyboard haha. I have had a little extra long cozy morning before work = starts the working day extra alert and yesterday I took a new header picture, which I still do not know if it turned out well or not but I am so eager to go through all the pictures now!

My plan has always been that as soon as the new webshop is published, I will put my teeth into the blog design so that it feels new and fresh as well, it will be so fun :)

But before I cave in front of photoshop, I just HAVE to show you a new micellar water that I have tested! Comfort Zone Essential Micellar Water which is a novelty from the Italian skin care brand Comfort Zone. I got a press sample of it after a press event at Kraft in Stockholm last autumn.

img_9445_111

What is micellar water?
I usually describe micellar water as an extra cleansing toner, it contains small charged particles that act as a magnet over the skin and encapsulate impurities which are then easily swept away with the cotton pad.

I love micellar water and have used Paese Micellar Solution * very long, I use it as an extra cleanser / toner after my usual makeup remover & cleanser and sometimes as a multi-product in the morning if I am in a hurry - cleansing, toner and moisture in the same product. But I always recommend cleaning with both cleanser and micellar water even in the morning :)

I have never before found a micellar water that I think is as good as the one from Paese, but now I have another treat in my bathroom cabinet and it is also GREAT as a makeup remover!

New from Comfort Zone!
Comfort Zone Essential Micellar Water is a novelty from the Italian skin care brand Comfort Zone.

Product description:
“Multi-active water that easily cleanses the face, eyes and lips. Fresh, light and extremely gentle, it removes makeup, cleans the pores and cleans without the need to rinse it off. It is reminiscent of a toner but works as a makeup remover. The perfect 3-1 product for those who want it to go fast and want to remove makeup in under a minute. The mild detergents in this liquid solution form micromicels which encapsulate the impurities and which are then removed with cotton.

Contains Betaine
The micellar water contains Betaine which preserves the skin's moisture. Betaine is a natural osmolyte extracted from sugar beet. It is found in the skin and maintains the cell's fluid balance, retains moisture and vitality even in harsh climates (extreme temperatures, air pollution and sun). Makes cleansing gentle and respects the skin's balance. ”

Packaging
A simple, stylish bottle that is very practical. A lot of water comes out of the opening even though it is a fairly small hole. Contains 200 ml.

img_9416_111

Use
Dampen a cotton swab and wipe over the face. You do not need to rub because the water acts as a magnet on impurities. No need to wash off. Super easy!

As a makeup remover
Gaaaaalet good for removing makeup! Both for eyes and face, even waterproof makeup. You know the dark one is pretty cool the make-up I did this the other day, I washed it off with this micellar water and it was like the eye makeup just melted away. And so nice with a remover that works for both eyes and face!

As a toner / extra cleanser
Works gallantly like this too, you see on the cotton that it pulls out dirt (especially in the morning) and the skin feels clean and comfortable afterwards, neither dry nor sticky.

As sole cleaning
I like to remove makeup before washing with regular cleaning, but do not like to use micellar water solely then I want to wash properly with cleaning and hot water as well. For me, it would take an unnecessary amount of micellar water to make the face feel 100% cleansed. I always recommend using micellar water together with a cleaning as cleaning is so very important in today's society - you do not live directly in a clean air / world.

In other words, you have a little makeup like that can you use this micellar water as both makeup remover, cleanser and toner, but for a stronger make-up it is not so economical and it is probably still nothing that I would recommend.

Award
295: - on hudoteket.se and they have free shipping. The 300-lap for 200 ml is affordable if you use the water sparingly, you do not need much to get rid of the makeup when you deep clean with a regular cleaning afterwards. And as a toner, you really do not need much. If, on the other hand, you use it as a makeup remover + cleanser + toner morning and evening, have a lot of water on the cotton and have a lot of makeup on, well then it probably will not last very long and suddenly get a very high ppa (price per use).

img_9438_111

Summary
There is absolutely nothing to complain about! So good! I personally use it as a cruel makeup remover and finish with an equally good + slightly cheaper micellar water as toner then. Really super happy!

As I said, available for purchase for SEK 295 here.

Makeup customer from Gothenburg! (Makeup consultation)

Hi fine ni! :)

Last Saturday I had such a fun make-up consultation at the salon in Uppsala. A girl who lives in Gothenburg and has shopped a lot in the webshop before, including a big fan of Paese Makeup Base Matte and Paese Bamboo Silk Powder for oily skin. So fun! Recurring customers are the best reviews ♥

And it is always just as honoring with long-distance customers! I mostly have long-distance customers in the webshop, but when we opened the salon I could not even dream of more people coming and booking me in Uppsala! It was not really my work weekend but she wanted me personally, then it is clear that you go in;)

Here is the result:

Nice! :)

Desires
She did not really know if she wanted a party makeup or everyday makeup, as she has more use for an everyday makeup but still wanted to take the opportunity to have a little extra once she was made up. So we decided on a middle ground where she can easily use lighter colors for everyday (and less of everything) and darker colors for parties (and more of everything) but use the same techniques and tips.

Decreasing & covering base
She has oily skin with a lot of redness, but otherwise an even skin tone in addition to some blemishes here and there. So we started with a soothing face primer, an oil-free, moisturizing and soothing foundation gel, concealer on some blemishes and then a powder that neutralizes redness. There was not much redness that shone through the base before, but she has an easy flare up and becomes redder when she is hot / stressed / touches the skin so it was a lot for prevention as well.

Color & shape
Contouring with both dark shadows and light highlighter, as well as highlighter with luster. When you have oily skin, you are often afraid of luster as you still get shiny so quickly, but a mild luster highlighter together with degrading products is recommended if possible, because all dull makeup can otherwise make the skin look a little lifeless.

As a blush, I chose a shade that is quite bright pink but also has a little peach / apricot tones, as I want it to pop on her warm skin but at the same time feel quite mild and not too screaming pink.

Long shelf life
Then I finished with fixing mist and degrading powder for longer durability.

Eyebrows
She has a good shape naturally, but that needed to be emphasized to give the face that lift that you want. So I followed her own shape but reinforced the underside a little sharper and put a little more gunpowder at the highest point on the brow, to give a more shapely impression and a brow that lifts the gaze. Finished with a fringe to make the straws look more comfy + lie in place all day.

Eyes
I really wanted to highlight her big beautiful eyes! We chose cold but down-to-earth tones as she often uses warm brown and golden colors herself, then it is good to try something new, I think. In addition, it will be a nice contrast to her otherwise slightly warmer tones. We did an eye makeup that enlarges and opens up the gaze, and that marks and frames it nicely.

Start with eye shadow primer, always, especially if you have oily skin. Bright colors on the eyelid and in the corner of the eye to open up the gaze and off-white eyeliner along the waterline for even bigger and more vibrant eyes. Dark shadow over the crease line, and at the end of the eyelid and lower lash line for marking + enlargement. We put lashliner (lash marking) on the entire upper lash line and half the lower lash line, and skipped eyeliner so that the light on the eyelid should be more visible when she looks straight ahead.

Lips
A natural and matte color that she really enjoyed and that is durable and practical both for everyday and for parties.

Cool winter makeup tutorial (Winter makeup)

It was a long time since I did a dark, intense and cool make-up, but today so! :)

It was difficult to get the eyeshadow well in the beginning because I tested a new eyeshadow primer and it was really not good, so I had to stick on another over and on. So hard when it happens, but then you realize at least how important blogs and reviews are because I do not have to be very disappointed because I got it as a press test, it's a lot if you as a customer have also paid for it! So then I can warn you about it instead.

I will write a post about it soon, do not want to print the name until I am completely sure of tested a new face primer before which I also had on the eyelid so it could be that they collided with each other or similar. So I'll give it a second chance before I diss it completely :)

Hope you like the look anyway :)
