Helena tests - Yves Rocher Eyeliner Prune

Today's make - up I did with the liquid eyeliner Yves Rocher Eyeliner in the shade Prune - a dark purple matte eyeliner that is really, really nice! It is so dark that it almost feels black, but is still a little more fun than an all-black eyeliner. Good tip if you want a color without it getting crunchy :)

It was when I was looking for another eyeliner in my stuffed makeup boxes that I found this one. I got a home test of it a super long time ago but I can't remember ever testing it. Glad you can find in your own makeup collection, haha.

I have used the eyeliner completely without eyeshadow primer to put the durability to the test properly, and without primer, my eyelids are incredibly oily, which few eyeliners can handle. It passes the test really well actually! After a whole day, you see if you look very closely that the eyeliner wing has discolored a little in the skin fold from the globe line, but it is almost nothing you think about and the eyeliner itself is still very nice. And as I said, I have VERY oily eyelids.

So if you often have problems with an eyeliner flowing out or smearing when you blink, this is super good, but it is not waterproof, the problem is teary eyes, rain or the like, so you should choose a waterproof eyeliner instead.

I also have to give the eyeliner a big plus for easy application, it is easy to get sharp and even, dries quickly and does not flow out in the lines before it dries. I do not like dipliners in general though so I used a separate eyeliner brush.

I used the eyeliner for an everyday make-up with a little white eye shadow and purple-pink lips:

Nivea Q10 Plus Anti Wrinkle CC Cream

Nivea's skin care series Q10 Plus Anti Wrinkle, I have seen lots of advertising for, and now also tested the cc cream in this series! :)

I'm too young to put the wrinkle properties to the test, but as a cc cream I have tested it properly now since I got a press test on it several months ago, and thought I would give you my review today.

Product description
Nivea Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle CC Cream (Color Correction) Tinted Moisturizer is a tinted day cream that when used regularly can increase the skin's natural Q10 and creatine levels and counteract wrinkles. Nivea's Q10 CC-cream contains mineral pigments that give the skin a smoother appearance and blend in with your natural skin color. With SPF 15 and UVA protection to protect the face from sun wrinkles. Nivea's CC cream has a sheer finish that suits all skin tones.

It is thus a colored day cream / cc-cream that evens out the skin tone at the same time as it counteracts wrinkles and also has a sun protection factor of 15. CC-creams usually have more coverage than a colored day cream, so I see the product more as a colored day cream for it does not provide much coverage at all.

IMG_7475_111

Shade
The day cream is only available in a shade that should blend into the skin tone and suit everyone, but I tested this even before Turkey and then it went crazy too dark so I would recommend it to people who have light skin but not very light. So it's a bit of a shame. But now that I have a little tan, the shade works quite well but is still a bit dark actually.

Formula
The texture is very light and creamy but at the same time just over, a little goes a long way. The first ingredient on the table of contents (the ingredient that comes first is the one that the product contains the most of) it is shea butter which is incredibly caring and good for the skin, so it gets a plus for that! At the same time, the cream feels a bit sticky and shiny on the skin, which is explained by the shea butter because shea butter is a rather oily ingredient. It does not enter the skin quickly.

Award
The recommended price is SEK 139, but it is available at apotea.se for 119: -.

Application
The cream is a little, a little difficult to get even, I think, or difficult is perhaps the wrong word, but you have to work it into the skin to get an even result. Otherwise very easy to use.

Results
As you can see in the picture above, the cream gives minimal coverage, you hardly see any difference but there will be little difference. But the skin gets a nice glow and looks very fresh.

Combined with other makeup
Every time I have tested this cc cream, I will put on make-up afterwards, and then I always put on make-up with foundation to get more coverage and it rarely gets great. This cc cream is a little too oily for that, at least on my skin type. I can imagine that it can be nice if you have dry skin and want something creamy before a thin layer of mineral foundation, but otherwise I think more that it is a good colored day cream when you should not have more makeup on the skin. Good summer product!

Fragrance
The cream has a pretty strong scent as well, which I'm not so much for.

What do you think? Just a little smoother skin tone, but a nice glow!

IMG_1339_111

Summary - It is probably very nice on a dry, mature skin that wants radiance and a little smoother skin tone on the purchase, and who should not have makeup over. The biggest downside is that it is only available in one shade because it results in many of you who read not even being able to use it even though you want to. In other words, I absolutely believe that people with the right conditions and desires for results will like this colored day cream very much, but it is not a cream that I recommend to everyone.

Personally, I think it gives too little coverage to feel that I need the coverage at all, and is a little too oily in consistency as I prefer creams that go quickly into the skin + is easy to apply makeup over. But I am not the target group for which the cream is developed either :)

Any of you who have tested this? What do you think? ♥

Make-up that lifts the gaze

I thought of doing a "series" of make-up where I show how you can think depending on what effect you want on the eyes - for example if you want a make-up that lifts the eyes, enlarges the eyes, a more intense look, etc.

And first out today is a make-up where I show how you can "lift your gaze" which makes you look a little more alert, and it becomes a little extra effective on people with a little droopy eyelids.

What I usually think about is that where you put on a lot of darkness, the focus ends up so that the eye is "pulled" in that direction. So today I show you a make-up with all the focus on the top of the eye, which draws the gaze upwards and becomes like a little lift :)

Hope you understand what I mean and think the post is helpful!

  1. Off-white eyeliner along the lower lash line, Benecos Natural White Kajal
  2. Black lashliner / fringe marking, Paese Kashmir Eyeshadow (602)
  3. Mark the outer edge of the eye with a line from the outer corner of the eye and outwards, preferably at the same angle / slope as the lower lash line for as lifting an effect as possible.
  4. Apply more black eye shadow on the lower edge of the eyelid and fade the edge a little.
  5. Look straight ahead in the mirror, relax your forehead, apply brown eye shadow above the crease line so that the brown eye shadow is visible even when you look straight ahead, then you get an even more lifting effect, Paese Opal Eyeshadow (Caffe Latte)
  6. Look at the entire eyelid again and you will see how much skin is "inside the globe line" when you look straight ahead.
  7. Fill the entire eyelid with the same brown eyeshadow and fade it into the black at the bottom edge.
  8. Light eye shadow in the corner of the eye, Paese Opal Eyeshadow (Caffe Latte)
Black mascara on the upper lashes (top only), Magnetic Lash Mascara

Wedding make-up before & after

Last Friday I had a make-up consultation including products with a customer at the salon who was incredibly fun to put on make-up! She has been a regular customer with us for a very long time, only since Annika started Creative Make Up, I think, and I have been plucking her eyebrows every 3 weeks for over a year now. It gets a little special with people who come regularly to keep in shape all the time, you meet them more often than many of your friends :)

She is going to her sister's wedding in her hometown and is going to put on make-up herself that day, and wanted tips on how to do a simple party make-up. She already uses some products from our store (loves, among other things, Paese's debilitating face primer and bamboo powder for oily skin) so it was fun to show a whole with our products!

Here is the result:

IMG_1199_ watermark

BAS - First we plucked the eyebrows and then we chose basic products that both suit oily skin and that cover and neutralize redness effectively. Big difference huh? :)

EYES - Then we made a brown smokey eye which both marks the eyes nicely but which is still soft and not so advanced to make. Apply brown eye shadow on the entire eyelid and crease line as well as on the bottom of the lower lash line, fade it out softly. Lighten up with a light eye shadow in the middle of the eyelid, in the corner of the eye and at the bottom of the lower lash line. Finish with lashliner and mascara.

LIPS - At the wedding, she would wear a patterned dress with many different colors, and then a lip color like this is absolutely perfect! You want to highlight and highlight such full and nice lips, but if you do not want to match (or miss-match) the dress, choose such a soft and discreet tone that is like the lip's own color but darker. So nice! In addition, these matte lipsticks are incredibly durable which is also a big plus at weddings.

Products I have used:

Face:
Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Matte)
Foundation - Pixi H2O skintint (2 Nude)
Concealer - Pixi Correction Concentrate (tiny in the most red areas)
Powders that neutralize red areas - gloMinerals redness relief powder (quite a lot of this)
Contouring - Paese Bronzing Powder (1M)
Rouge - gloMinerals blush (Papaya)
Makeup Fixing mist - Pixi makeup fixing mist
Dehydrating powders - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder

Eyebrows - Pixi Duo Brow (Natural Brown)
Lips - gloMinerals Suede Matte Crayon (Trademark)

Eyes:
Eyeshadow Primer - Pixi eye bright primer
Eyeshadows - Paese opal eyeshadow (Colorado)
Black eyeshadow (lashliner) - Paese cashmere eyeshadow (602)
Off-white eyeliner (waterline) - Benecos Natural White Kajal
Black mascara - Magnetic Lash Mascara

I WANT HER HAIR !!!! ♥

Super nice!

The best thing about customers who come regularly is that I will also get to know exactly how the make-up went when she did it herself and if it was fun at the wedding. Looking forward to the next booked time! :)

For those of you who are hungry for a make-up consultation, eyebrow picking or just get help shopping for products - we are open all summer but have shorter opening hours. But it is possible to book as well as you like online on the website, and do you have any specific wishes, I am very adaptable with times in addition to opening hours as well and then it is possible to book by phone on 018 10 50 13.

Hugs are!

Right now - Shooting with Monica Werner!

Hi fine ni!

Today I work with a photo shoot before a hair competition with the hairdresser Monica Werner (who always dyes my hair) and we both make up, style and take photos at our salon Creative Makeup By Her in Uppsala and have set up a studio in the store :) So cool!

A little extra fun is that Monica sends live videos on her Facebook that I share the salon's FB page, so there you can follow us live during the day! At the time of writing, we have made a video with the preparations, now the hair is ready as well and we have started taking photos and will soon film a bit from it as well.

You will find this film and the upcoming films on our Facebook page here!

Now I will continue to work;) Hugs to you ♥
