Did you know that Helen Torsgården blogged about my favorite mascara Magnetic Lash already in 2014, and wrote that it is the best fiber mascara she has tested! It's always fun with positive reviews, but not least from people who have put hundreds of different mascara brands to the test :)

Most fiber mascaras have the fibers mixed directly into the sleeve, but with Magnetic Lash they are in a sleeve on the side so you can use as little / much / often / rarely as you want, so good!

I personally am madly in love with the mascara itself and use it almost constantly, even without fibers as it is so heavenly good. Does not crumble, does not smudge (even if you, like me, have very oily skin) and is also water resistant so it can withstand both tears and rain while being easy to wash off.

Jeanette at work is so happy that she has finally found a mascara that fits well even when she has to cycle in the rain in the morning, and thinks that it fits better than many ordinary waterproofs. And Frida who is in Uppsala's student life also uses it regularly and was so happy at Valborg as she was the only one who did not look like a panda at the "champagne gallop" haha :) Really nice to be able to trust her mascara and not have to check yourself in the mirror several times a day.

I must also add that I have never seen such big turns in what is considered an expensive mascara and a cheap mascara, as now when I meet so many people at the salon in Uppsala. Some people think that SEK 249 is juicy for a mascara (me too, even though I think it is worth every penny) but most people are actually shocked by the price and think it is super cheap for such a good mascara :) So different on what reference frames you have.

In addition, the mascara contains 12 grams, which is a lot for a mascara, almost two mascaras in one if you compare with several other brands, so you get a lot for your money :)

Do you enjoy summer as much as I do? So warm and wonderful ♥

I'm still in a deep mourning work as you may understand, but one thing that feels important to me who lived so close to a person with mental illness - is to always enjoy life. I am a real everyday enjoyer and am grateful for everything good around me, both big and small things and currently enjoy incredibly much of the beautiful summer and my wonderful family that we spend time with every day :)

I've had really hard weeks and it's still going up and down, but I'm starting to feel more and more like myself again which is really nice! Everything practical after mum can not be grabbed even then estate registration and all that has not yet started, but I pulled myself up and started to fix a lot at the salon! Repaint make-up chairs, for example, as I do in the garage at home in the house, and clean all make-up and product boxes. Nice to "come back" and kickstart yourself!

My sisters and I have suddenly become homeowners, and our dream (and plan if everything practically and financially goes together) is to keep the house and live together as a small collective :) Wonderful huh?

Both Miska and her sister's boyfriend Glenn are real fans of skateboarding and tried to teach me a little bit! It went like that haha, but very fun!

We spend every spare moment and every day when Miska and I come home from work, dinner is on. How well can you have it on a scale? Do not know what I would have done without Miska and my crazy family :) May start vlogging in our collective then haha.

By the way, we have received papers from the autopsy now as well and it was as we thought - that it was the mother's body that could not take it anymore, so it was not a conscious choice on her part to end life. She self-medicated her depression with alcohol for several years and has been anything but kind to her health lately, and in the end her body could no longer bear it. Just wanted to write it, as many have thought she committed suicide, but now we know that it was not so ♥

Now I will continue working at the salon for a while before it is time to go home. Hope you all have a nice afternoon and evening!

Makeup brushes - Jacks Beauty Line

I have on several occasions received home samples of make-up brushes from Jacks Beauty Line, which are brushes handmade in Germany and designed by makeup artist Miriam Jacks. They are so incredibly beautiful!

The brushes are hand painted and no two are alike :)

Now I have two more that I have put to the test:

No. 7 Line Shader Brush which is adapted to fade eye shadow and sharp edges, and No. 2 Line Eyeliner Brush which gives a thin and sharp eyeliner. Fina va? :)

However, I am not so impressed with the big Line Shader. It feels rough and almost a bit rough, like a real hair brush becomes when it is old type, a bit worn in the tops. In addition, it is made of goat hair and I personally prefer synthetic brushes.

I use it to apply powder products on smaller areas of the face instead, e.g. light highlighter under the eyes. So it works in war but nothing I would recommend, I want soft brushes :)

Line Eyeliner Brush
This eyeliner brush, on the other hand, gets a big thumbs up from me! They are soft yet compact enough to provide precision. Very easy to paint with and make both thin and wide lines. Me like!

It is also made of real hair.

In other words, an elevator and a diss! :)

Jack's Beauty Line varies in price, but most brushes are just over the 200 mark, but there are a few cheaper and significantly more expensive as well. You will find them all HERE.

Hope you are well in the high summer heat! I myself had time to enjoy the morning coffee on a blanket in the sun with the cat Madde before I went in and worked a few hours at the salon. At the salon I have been busy with make-up bookings and there were also some drop-in customers who wanted to spruce up :) Unfortunately I did not take any before & after pictures today but I have lots of pictures of make-up jobs I have done here!

My good friend got one make-up which emphasizes the features of the face and lifts the gaze, when she blinks her eyes shimmer nicely in green and gold.
