Now I have ingested a number of cups of coffee and am finally starting to perk up after yesterday! We took the train home at twelve so it did not happen so late but when you have an hour's journey to Uppsala, the train was a little late, etc., it's quite a while before you lie down in bed at home and go to sleep.

But we had incredible fun! Annika also came along, which was a little extra fun ”fun then Annika gets to see a little of your worldSaid Miska haha, as if galas were everyday food for me! :)

Annika with Kate Wacz who sat on the jury when Annika won her two Swedish Championship golds in makeup!

The atmosphere was great! :)

Dear Carin Da Silva was a presenter, she is so wonderful!

Annika sat next to Therese Lindgren and started talking about permanent makeup, here there is talk of before and after pictures in large numbers :) Which is almost impossible not to do when you meet Annika, how many people go to galas completely unmade up haha. Everyone is equally shocked when she says what she works with and that she is 100% unmade up, only tattooed and with colored + permanent eyelashes :)

I am very naturally tattooed, but sick cool that you can look as perfectly made up all the time as Annika does!

We also sat at the same table as the awesome makeup artists Ellinoramanda.com and Makeupbylina.com :) You really should check out their beauty blogs, so good! ♥

Not many rock a pregnant belly as grandly as Carin!

Have you smelled Marie Serneholt's perfume? So good! And to the right you see the best Hairology! ♥

Dior was humble enough when they won the prize… two ugly fingers against the audience hahaha!

As you can see, we had an incredibly nice evening! And when we arrived in Uppsala, Miska was standing with the car at the station waiting for us, so go! Both Annika and I are really close from the station, but heels together with the enormously heavy, stuffed goodie bag do not go together haha.

Now I will continue the working day and afterwards Miska and I will celebrate, because it is his birthday today! Woop, woop! Can you guess how old he is? :)

White Diamond Makeup - Beauty Awards 2016

Good morning beautiful people!

Now I have slept a few hours after yesterday's gala night at the Swedish Beauty & Cosmetics Awards 2016, it was so much fun!

I will write more about the gala a little later, but thought to start by showing some pictures of what I looked like yesterday. The theme was White Diamond and I blinged into a dark blue jumpsuit with glittery white nails, white handbag with gold details (borrowed Annika's Versace, woopidoo) and a white and gold glitter makeup :)

Not super white and not super glittery, but you take what you have when you can not afford to buy something new (read takes what the sister has) haha!

I rarely do glittery make-up for the blog because it is not visible in the picture anyway, but when I would be a bit "glitter and glamor" in reality, I struck at really glittery eyes - which is barely visible in the pictures haha. Especially not because I have used very fine-grained glitter, basically disappears completely in the picture.

But you can imagine this make-up with gold glitter along the globe line and the lower lash line, and white glitter on the eyelid and in the corner of the eye :) You can fantasize hihi.

Hairology nominated in Beauty Awards 2016!

Now I'm sitting on the train on my way to Stockholm, finely dressed up to my ears and on my way to the Swedish Beauty & Cosmetics Awards 2016! :)

Last year Pixi was nominated, and this year Hårologi is nominated! Two brands that we sell!

Hairology is nominated in the category "Shampoo & Conditioner Hairdresser of the Year" with the product combination Color Lock Shampoo and Color Protector. Two products with the task of cleaning, caring for and preserving your colored hair. Both products are also SigNature-labeled and manufactured in Sweden.

I personally use their Fil shampoo and not this one for colored hair, but Color Protector I use and love! ♥ It is a leave-in cream that is applied to damp hair after the shower. Love it!

Hairology is not available in our webshop (yet) but you who live in / near Uppsala are so warmly welcome to Creative Makeup By Her to do a hair test! Then we see how strong and elastic your hair is (how much protein and moisture the hair contains) and can tailor products for your hair and scalp :)

Now I'm going to turn on a peppery song in the headphones and chill a bit before I get to the big city. Hugs are!

Bassmink:
Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Matte)
Foundation - Pixi H2O Skintint (Cream)
Powder that neutralizes red - gloMinerals Redness Relief Powder

Eyebrows - Beneco's eyebrow designer (brown)
Lips - Benecos Lip Liner (Brown)

The eyeliner is made with Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen (Glimmery Black)

Paint the eyeliner along the entire lash line
Paint a wing as far out as you want it
Fade the edges with a small brush
Dot white glitter in the corner of the eye for even more glitter effect, NYX Roll On Eye Shimmer (just saw that it is no longer for sale, too bad!
Finish with mascara on all lashes, Magnetic lash mascara

Then it's ready!

Luxury vs. Budget - Brow Pomade

In the press release from Nordicfeel.se that I showed you the other day, there was, among other things, an eyebrow product that I immediately became curious about!

It is a "look alike" for Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade which is a colored cream in a small jar that you can easily shape and fill in the eyebrows with.

I have tested Anastasias Pomade previously, and now I have also tested the budget variant Freedom Brow Pomade which costs SEK 75, unlike Anastasia which costs SEK 255!

Packaging
The jars are EXACTLY the same, if you had done a blind test you would not have noticed any difference. They weigh the same and have exactly the same dimensions everywhere and look the same both on the inside and outside. Same, same fixed different logos.

Manufacturing
Both are made in China and most likely from the exact same manufacturer. Different ingredients though, had to check it out haha! But the first ingredient (which is what the product contains most of) is exactly the same - cyclopentasiloxane which is a silicone. Then many of the ingredients are the same as well but not in the same place in the list and Anastasia contains many more ingredients. So they are not exact copies even though I actually started suspecting it for a few seconds :)

Formula
All my Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade is starting to get a little old now, so I can not compare the textures and so to 100% as mine from Anastasia are starting to get a little dry and tough. But from what I can remember how they were when they were new, there is no noticeable difference there either. Both are incredibly pigment-rich and creamy in texture, both.

Application
Freedom Brow Pomade is very easy to use, it looks good immediately and you can easily get both sharp lines and a softer filling. Just like Anastasia!

sustainability
The only point I can notice any difference in is sustainability, where quality wins over budget. Although the durability of Freedom is also great, I painted an eyebrow on my wrist yesterday and when I went to bed after a full day at work, it was still nice :)

However, Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade is waterproof and can withstand even more stress, so if you do a rubbing test on your hand, Anastasia wins. But it is incredibly even even at this point I must say!

Conclusion - Incredibly similar products and as long as it does not depend on the best durability, I choose Freedom Brow Pomade every day of the week, and rather spend the rest of the money on some other fun makeup :)

This is what it says about Freedom Brow Pomade on Nordicfeel.se:

I have the shade Medium Brown, which is almost exactly the same as Anastasia's shade Dark Brown. However, Dark Brown is a little more reddish brown while this one from Freedom is colder.

And this is how beautiful the eyebrows will be with Freedom Brow Pomade :)
