A few weeks ago I posted a picture on Instagram where I show how good Botanicals Clay Mask (Green Clay & Avocado) works on impure skin, in areas with a lot of pores, you SEE how sebum and impurities are sucked out of the pores! :)

I have shown this in the blog several times before, but after this time on Instagram, the already popular face mask sold out in just a few days, which we were not prepared for here in the warehouse. Botanicals has a fairly long delivery time so it has taken a few weeks, but today we finally got home the new face masks!

Botanicals Clay Mask is available in two different variants, and both are 100% natural and 70% organic, and come from the brand Botanicals which manufactures handmade, organic, natural and vegan skin care products in England.

Green Clay & Avocado (which I have in the picture) is for unclean and oily skin.
Rose Clay & Rosehip is for dry, sensitive, lifeless and mature skin.

The properties of face masks
These face masks have slightly different properties, but some properties that they both have in common are:

Moisture - All skin types need moisture! Masks for oily and oily skin often do not feel moisturizing enough in my opinion, but moisture is important even for oily and impure skin. Many moisturizing masks you can even sleep with, the skin can not get too much of it simply :)

Deep cleansing - You can use peeling to get the skin a little extra clean, but I like to have a face mask with deep cleansing effects that also helps a little extra! This is not only good for oily and impure skin, but a dry and "lifeless" skin also gets much more radiance if dead skin cells and the like disappear. This is e.g. clay masks great for, it absorbs oil, dead skin cells and impurities from the pores.

Green Clay & Avocado is a bit more deep cleansing, even though Rose Clay & Rosehip is. But it is usually not visible with the Rose Clay mask as it does with the too unclean skin. Thus, Green Clay & Avocado absorbs sebum and impurities which can be seen in the pores when you use it, Rose Clay & Rosehip removes dead skin cells and gives the skin more radiance, but is usually not visible in the pores.

In other words, a properly cleansed skin full of moisture is something that basically all skin types can strive for. And these are exactly the qualities that both face masks from Botanicals have!

Botanicals Revitalizing Mask with Rose Clay & Rosehip is a face mask adapted for tired, dry, sensitive and mature skin.

French rosera helps to remove dirt, dead skin cells and impurities from the skin, and gives your dull skin much more radiance!

Rosolja moisturizes and repairs the skin and is often used in skin care for mature skin.
Jojoba oil is very moisturizing and nourishing.
Camellia oil reduces fine lines, makes stretch marks less visible and strengthens the skin.
Shea butter soothes irritated skin and speeds up the healing process.

Botanicals Balancing Mask with Green Clay & Avocado is a face mask adapted for oily and impure skin that easily gets acne. The skin becomes clean, clear and incredibly soft and smooth!

Green clay extracts dirt, dead skin cells and oil from the pores and deeply cleanses the skin.
Cold pressed avocado oil is gentle and moisturizes and protects the skin, and also suits sensitive skin.
Jojoba oil is soothing and is often used in skin care for oily skin, as it balances sebum production.
Marigold soothes irritated skin.
Lemongrass and mandarin gets the skin in balance.

After face mask:
Cleaning - When I wash off the face mask, I usually soak a spa sponge with warm water and exfoliate the skin a little extra! I use Konjac Facial Sponge - Bamboo Charcoal, but if you have dry and sensitive skin, that is Konjac Heart Facial Sponge - Pink Clay better. Cold water - Finish with cool water to close the pores.

Cream - If you use the face masks from Botanicals that I recommend, the skin feels very moisturized after thanks to all the caring ingredients, but to finish with a day cream or night cream (depending on the time) is still recommended. I use Sanctum Moisture Concentrate and it feels absolutely wonderful on the skin

Balancing Mask and Konjac Sponge Green Clay both contain green clay which is deep cleansing and great for oily and impure skin, and both of these are mild and also suitable for mixed skin if you e.g. is sensitive and dry while the skin is oily and impure.

Revitalizing Mask and Pink Clay Sponge for dry and sensitive skin and also a perfect combo, dead skin cells are removed, blood circulation starts, the skin gets a nice glow and above all the skin is richly moisturized and soft by the face mask.
