Modern 50's make-up

"Hello! Super good blog. Could you post a post on how to do a 50's makeup? ”

Obvious! :)

Three details to keep in mind:
♥ There was no color photo in the 50's, therefore it is not a particularly colorful makeup but more a look that enhances light and dark for greater contrasts. Lighten up the eyelid, corner of the eye, cheekbones, cupid's bow and such areas that you want to "pop out" a little more. And then darken deeper areas such as the globe line and below the cheekbones.

♥ Eyeliner wing and red lips are what mainly symbolize a 50's makeup. Use a rub-proof eyeliner and a lip pencil on the entire lips if you want as durable a makeup as possible :)

♥ A beauty spot somewhere on the face strengthens the theme even more, and is also really nice to bring some life to the face for a makeup like this :) Paint a brown dot somewhere random on the face if you want it to look natural (so not obliquely above the mouth which is a classic 50's), I painted it where I still had a pimple that needed to be conjured away!

50s make-up-step-by-step

1. Eyeshadow primer on the entire eyelid, Pixi Eye Bright Primer
Brownish golden shadow along the globe line, Pixi Mesmerizing Palette (Rich Gold)
2. Light eye shadow on the eyelid and in the corner of the eye, Pixi Mesmerizing Palette (Rich Gold)
3. Shimmery white eye shadow in the middle of the eyelid, below the brow and in the corner of the eye, Paese Diamond Eyeshadow (7)
4. Black eyeliner with wing, Paese Penliner
Apply half false eyelashes to the outer edge of the eyelid (I used the whole one I cut off) and finish with mascara, Paese Adore 3D Lash Mascara.
6. Happened to write a 6 in the picture, but that's just the result from a different angle :)

Right now I am completely alone in the salon, so incredibly calm and nice here now. I sit in a massage chair with heat and drink a cup of coffee from our coffee machine, so cozy!

Now I will continue to donate with the interior here + take some pictures to Creativemakeup.se who will get a makeover before the opening as well :)

Hope you liked the make-up and have an absolutely wonderful Saturday! ♥

My blog room is starting to grow!

1

Both yesterday and today, Miska and I have had full days in the new salon, you can not imagine how long it takes to screw together furniture, pick up products, and from time to time clean away all the chaos you create while you work;)

I forgot my computer mouse there today so I can not sit down and go through the pictures of the makeup I have done, it is so messy without a mouse. But I have moved all my makeup and my photo stuff to the new place now so I will work there every day from now on, so tomorrow I will go to Uppsala again and then you will get more makeup update!

Instead, I thought I would offer some pictures from the day :)

IMG_4902_111

I have stated one thing, I and unassembled IKEA furniture do not really go together haha.

IMG_4894_111

However, Miska is king at building furniture together, soon done with that piece!

A little sneak peak from my blog room :) But I will try to make sure that the flashes can be behind the desk, so that I can take photos step by step make-up without having to go to the photo corner all the time. Would be so nice!

And this is how flashy my two large windows in the blog room look from the outside:

Skare va så skare;)

In exactly one week, I have just returned home from the first "real" working day at Creative Makeup By Her, the premiere is next Friday and it will be so much fun !!

But I got a shock yesterday, I must admit. The whole thing has felt so unreal for so long, I have worked alone in the apartment for two years and suddenly go from there to AB with employees and a room that is twice as big as most experienced salons. But that part I have thought about a lot and am quite used to that thought now, but what struck me yesterday when we started running in my makeup stuff and my stock was rather that I will stop work at home.

Now the make-up mirror is gone, the make-up office is almost completely empty, my photo stuff that took up half the living room / bedroom is no longer in the way and I will no longer be able to work in panties and an ugly old linen haha. I will fully enjoy the fact that the apartment will only be a home, and that I have the best job in the world to go to, but I feel a little lost and kind of, shocked, that this is really happening now :)

Well, a little evening chatter like that on a Friday. Now I'm going to bed, we'll hear from you tomorrow ♥

Get a tattoo at Creative Make Up next week!

Next week you can do permanent makeup with Annika's apprentice Linda at Creative Makeup By Her! I also think she will work in our new premises then :)

Linda is one of Annika's new apprentices and has been hand-picked only from Malmö, thanks to her incredibly artistic and creative vein. She works with body tattoos and has extensive experience of tattooing, color and shape, and now she has also started working as an apprentice with permanent makeup at Creative Makeup By Her.

Among other things, she has tattooed Annika's lips so beautifully:

They are completely new in this picture.

Next week, Linda will be on site Tuesday to Friday and receive bookings - with the same quality guarantee and results as Annika, but a little longer processing time and significantly cheaper price. Take care! :)

Treatments that can be booked with Linda are currently lip tattooing, eyeliner and filling in eyebrows (that is, if you have tattooed your eyebrows with Annika before, but need to fill in the color).

Prices:
Lips - 3500: -
Eyeliner & inliner - 2500: -
Filled eyebrows previous customer - 1000: -

You can only book by calling the salon - 018 - 10 50 13 :)

Book bridal makeup with me?

“How nice !! I was going to get married .. Uhh… Any day? In the future…? Hopefully .. Can I hire you to fix my makeup then? ^^ ”

Haha :) I was going to respond to your comment in a post when the bridal makeup requests hail in!

Before, I have always said yes to bridal make-up, and have gone to both Stockholm and Uppsala for such jobs. But the bridal bookings I get for next year, I unfortunately have to say no to. It should ev. be if it is at short notice and the person in question can come to the salon :)

I do not work as regular makeup artists who know their schedule on time, and basically only work with receiving bookings. A lot is happening now and in addition to the new store, we have even more plans underway, which will take up a lot of my time. I simply have no idea what my calendar will look like in a year - anything can happen!

It probably won't make much difference before next summer, but think again, and then I have lots of make-up that I have to cancel, very sad. Then you will look like this instead:

Lol ;)
(Hair - Monica Werner / Photographer - Niklas Lundengård)

But this applies to bookings with me personally, we will have makeup artists at Creative Makeup By Her who can take bookings later :) We are still in the middle of the start-up so do not know how they will want to work with travel and so if desired, but such details, we will steer and decide as soon as possible.

Not so fun post for you who are not going to get married, but important info to get out to you who are going, because you are a lot I have noticed ♥

Now Miska and I are going to the store and screw together furniture :) Have done a nice 50's make-up for you that you will get them later as soon as I get a hatch.

Quick fix for stressed skin (Face mask)

When you are stressed (regardless of whether it is "normal stress" or internal stress), it is often visible on the skin. I do not have a lot of pimples when I have calm periods, but right now there is so much to stand in and it is noticeable not least on the skin which has got a lot of blisters along the jawbones and is generally unclean and porous.

And part of the problem when you have bad skin due to stress, is that you rarely have so much time to do anything about it. Normally I would have done a facial sauna, peeling and a whole bunch of different things that are great, and then lots of sleep on it!

But now the reality does not really look like that, and therefore I thought I would tell you about a quick thunder cure that you can do while doing other things - face mask :)

IMG_4709_111

Rinse face with warm water and cleanse skin. Feel free to rinse one a little longer than usual, to warm the skin and open up the pores properly.

Then I have two face masks in a row. I start with Lumene Matt Touch Deep-Cleansing Peat Mask* which is deep cleansing.

Rosemary opens the pores so that they are easier to clean.
Mineral rich peat is antibacterial and cleanses the skin from grease and impurities, and then closes the pores.

IMG_4716_111

When that mask has done the hard work, I finish with a mask that is both deep cleansing and at the same time incredibly moisturizing, caring and soothing for the skin. It is also very important, especially when you have stressed skin. My skin, which is usually very sensitive (and oily), is even more sensitive now under stress, flares up for nothing!

Botanicals Balancing Mask Green clay & Avocado is an organic face mask with 100% natural ingredients of which 70% are organically certified. Contains, among other things, green clay, cold-pressed avocado oil and jojoba oil.

Green clay extracts dirt, dead skin cells and oil from the pores and deeply cleanses the skin.
Cold pressed avocado oil is gentle and moisturizes and protects the skin.
Jojoba oil is soothing and is often used in skin care for oily skin, as it balances sebum production.
Marigold soothes irritated skin.
Lemongrass and mandarin gets the skin in balance.

IMG_4728_111

After a while I saw that oil came out and kind of blackheads pore out the pores on the nose, so heavenly sick! I usually never look at the face mask before washing it off, so I do not know if it will always be like this or if I am extra unclean now. And I can not tell 100% that it is impurities from the pores that have been sucked out (probably thanks to the green clay then) but the mask just looked like that on the nose, where I have the most visible and impure pores, not anywhere else in the whole the face. So do not know what else it would be?

At least now my skin feels absolutely fantastic compared to before! And it hardly takes any time either, as long as you have some benefit to do at home while the face masks work, it is not the case that you go out immediately;)

Lumenes face mask is available for purchase HERE and Botanicals face mask is available HERE. Just shout if you have any questions!
