Blue mascara, red lips

One of the fastest make-ups you can do if you want a little extra color in life, is to choose a blue mascara instead of black, and a bright color on the lips!

IMG_3626_1111

The mascara is Yves Rocher Volume Vertige Mascara (Bleu)* and the lips are a red lip pencil - Benecos Natural Lipliner in the shade Red.

More than that I do not have time to write now, took a little blog break on Creative Make Up now but it is full speed here so I have to get started :) If you have any questions about anything else, just comment, I will answer tonight when I'm sitting on the bus home ♥

Tbt - My first make-up consultation!

0

I love that I love my job, do you understand the feeling?

I often get a intoxication through my whole body, even incredibly small things can make me really happy. And then Miska often laughs at me (in a heartfelt way) because I get so red-flamed on the chest, so there as some get when we are hot, stressed, nervous or the like. ”Are you warm?” ”no I just get so eager and happy!" Lol. And it can be as little as trying a new makeup brand or so :)

Today I got that feeling of intoxication, because all the make-up I have done at Creative Make Up lately has been consultations - and then I have always only used gloMinerals which are sold at the salon now, because products are included in the price so I only show things that can be traded. But today I have two test make-ups booked (I have bridal make-up two weekends in a row now) and then I can choose any brand!

So now I have packed the make-up bag, and it is basically only products from Byher.se :) And then it also struck me that in just one month, all consultations will also be done with them, it will be so much fun!

IMG_9040

Therefore, a little fittingly offers a picture from my very first make-up consultation I held at Creative Make Up! It was my classmate who had bought it as a Christmas present for his mother, I was still in high school and I remember how professional I felt being in the salon all alone when it was the weekend.

Oh what fun it would have been if it was on film, so I could have listened today :)

On February 4, 2012, these photos were taken!

I have had time to cut my hair and let it grow long again at this time :)

Now I have to run to the bus, hug you ♥

Take care of dry hands

Now autumn is fast approaching - and the season of dry skin at the same pace. As soon as the climate gets colder, the skin becomes drier with the purchase.

The hands are the body part that is exposed to the most stress during the day, we use them almost all the time and wash them several, several times. And hand care in particular is very important to me, it makes a big difference if I have had a good period or a "sloppy".

In addition, the hands are one of the body parts that we also shows mostly, you greet them, gesture with them, show things with them and very rarely dress them either, so they are basically visible all the time!

IMG_6921_111

If you take good care of your hands (and cuticles), you get strong and nice nails as well :)

That the hands need a little extra care is in other words not so strange, and many of us buy nice hand creams and cuticle oils of various kinds and try as best we can!

But what strikes me is that even with "product lovers" like me, it is almost always a super cheap synthetic soap from the grocery store that is in the bathroom. We buy expensive facial cleansers and shower creams, but the hands we wash the most, we rarely put any major thought into that cleansing. Surely it's a little weird?

organic hand soap

My hand soap is Botanicals Hand Wash with lemongrass and mandarin, and I hear from almost everyone who borrows the bathroom from me ”your hand soap Helena, it smells sooo heavenly good!”. And when I say that it is 95% organic and 100% natural as well, they are even more impressed :)

My mother also has this hand soap and says that her hands have become much softer than before and the skin is not dry at all anymore. And she basically never lubricates them either.

I love this hand soap for several reasons:

1. It cleanses the skin very well and you really feel that your hands are clean! In addition, it contains tea tree which has antibacterial properties.
2. It moisturizes the skin.
4. The good smell that spreads in the bathroom when you wash your hands is absolutely wonderful!
5. You can flush the soap down the drain with a clear conscience! Super important with a product that you use so often.

Important ingredients (all certified organic):
Coconut oil makes the skin soft, relieves eczema and irritated skin and speeds up the healing process.
Sunflower oil is moisture-retaining and and strengthens the skin's own barrier protection.
Glycerin moisturizes chapped and cracked skin.
Lemongrass & Mandarin are natural cleansers and give a fresh and wonderful scent.
Tea tree relieves irritated and inflamed skin, is antibacterial and relieves itching.

All Botanicals products are vegan.

organic hand wash

In other words, do not forget your hands, but pamper them (and the wastewater!) With an organic and fine hand soap!

The very best combo is the hand cream with the same scent as well. Botanicals Hand lotion gives incredibly soft and fragrant hands, and then it goes quickly into the skin as well, which I think is one of the most important properties a good hand cream must have :)

Important ingredients (all certified organic):
Shea butter is moisture-retaining, soothes irritated skin and speeds up the healing process.
Cocoa butter is moisture-retaining and makes the skin soft and supple.
Aloe vera moisturizes, nourishes and heals the skin.
Green tea extract is powerful against free radicals and protects the skin from impurities and stess.

Review on Byher.se about the hand soap:
“A hand soap that, after washing, feels like you have lubricated your hands with hand cream. The hands become velvety soft and the smell feels natural (no synthetic scents). ”

Review on Byher.se about the hand cream:
“Because I have problems with my hands, I am careful about what skin creams I buy and what they contain. There is a bad supply when it comes to good creams, and I have tested most of them. My daughters bought this cream for me, because they thought it seemed good to me who is so picky. The cream has a good consistency, and a small click is enough for both hands. It penetrates the skin in a good way without feeling sticky or oily. Afterwards, the hands become soft and I do not feel dry areas, but get a comfortable feeling. ”

Wonderful to hear, and I get so happy when you take the time to write what you think ♥

organic hand care

Nice to have standing next to each other in the bathroom - Wash your hands and then lubricate them with the same good scent. How luxurious? :)

Had I had a nicer bathroom, I would have shown you some interior pictures with all my products hehe. Great to give as a gift too! The soap contains 250 ml and the hand cream 100 ml.

And why not throw in nail polish with organic cuticle oil as well? Benecos Nail Care Pen is also available on Byher.se and costs only SEK 79. A perfect hand kit :)

Shout out if you have any questions ♥

Autumn make-up

Today's makeup is inspired by yesterday's blog post about autumn trends 2015, it is not make-up that is straight off one of the looks I showed you, but it was a mixture of shimmery bronze and gold shadows and focus on the underside of the eyes, both of which are details that I saw in my little trend look :)

I like this make-up very much, and regret that I did not take photos step by step so you can see how easy it is to do. But I will explain a little extra carefully instead!

IMG_3583_111

How to use:
Primer with eyeshadow primer.
2. Apply reddish brown shadow on the entire eyelid, and fade the edges in the crease line.
Dab on light eye shadow in the corner of the eye and in the middle of the eyelid.
4. Dab on golden eye shadow on the inside and outside of the eyelid, as well as the inside of the lower lash line.
5. Brown eyeliner along the waterline and the lower lash line.
6. Bend the lashes and finish with mascara on all the lashes.

It all becomes so simple because you base with one and the same eye shadow, and then add small effects (light + gold) that give nice color shifts :)

IMG_3460_111 IMG_3572_111Hope you were inspired!

I myself will be heading to Uppsala now and signing a lot of paper with the bank, and also donating a lot in the new premises. Among other things, Dad comes with the dressing tables we are going to have in the salon area, so curious! I have only given him measurements and a picture of another table we like (but which costs 5 digits, and we need two) so it will be great fun to see them now finally.

The make-up mirrors are also in place in the room already, we will have mirrors from Sminkspegel.se, the largest they have of course;) no matter how nice. Oooh I want everything ready now now now!

At least it's September now so it's less than a month before we open, so I do not have to have bad patience for too long, iiiiiiiiiiiiih!

Anyway, now I'm going to stop chatting and run to the bus :)

Hugs are! ♥

Makeup trends autumn 2015

Hi Helena! I was going to update my makeup stock a bit now before the autumn and have peeked a bit in your webshop. You could not suggest some products that are well suited for autumn? I have a lipstick in a pink shade from paese that I love but would like a more suitable for autumn but I do not know which shade I should choose hehe. What to drive on? Otherwise, thank you for a nice blog and good luck with the store. It will be fun to see how it turns out when everything is ready :)

I have done some trend research and checked out the makeup trends for the autumn of 2015 and thought to show you some inspiration now, plus which products I recommend from Byher.se to get help with these looks :)

Hope you like the post!

1. Natural skin, strobing and rosy cheeks
A trend that pleases me is that more and more it is starting to focus on a naturally beautiful skin, with fresh glow and rosy cheeks. I love shading and will continue to use it to get more shape on my face, but the whole Kim Kardashian trend has started to degenerate a bit on Instagram with a thousand different shades, layer upon layer and before and after pictures that look like two completely different people…

Light coverage - But now there is more focus on skin looking like skin, lighter foundations and only covering extra where it is really needed, and not in the whole face.

Strobing - Strobing is called when you highlight the skin and shape the face in that way, instead of using shading (sun powder). You can either just use a light luster powder on the high parts of the face, for a nice glow and thus emphasize the contours. Or even supplement with an illuminating matte highlighter before, which gives an even more illuminating effect.

Rosy cheeks - Rosy cheeks make you look more lively and healthy and are always incredibly beautiful, especially when you use strobing and do not have much other color and shape on the face. Swipe over the cheeks, or even a little on the lips and eyes for extra color :) You can choose which shade you want, but preferably bright colors and colors with a little extra glow!

2. Colorful lips
A trend that comes every autumn is a little makeup on the eyes, and great focus on the lips. Very red lips, but also berry shades. This year you also see very dark lips, which I absolutely love !!

Tips for a look with a focus on the lips - The autumn trend shows focus on the lips with very little eye makeup, which I also think is super nice. But the "rule" that you should choose eyes or lips you can throw in the trash, having a lot of makeup on both eyes and lips is also great.

To avoid a messy or over-made result, I usually think of blush instead, if you have a lot of both eyes, lips and blush, it can be a bit over-made up. Have a little less blush if you put a lot of make-up on both eyes and lips, but if you choose either eyes or lips, you can be a little more generous with the blush. Then you get a nice balance :)

Glitter and metallic eye shadows
Another trend that is also recurring every fall and winter is glitter and metallic shades, a little more party simply. It is really super nice, and attracts a lot of attention to the eyes. Bronze and gold are what you see most :)

IMG_0402_1115. Sooty and intense
Sooted eyes are super hot right now, and a specific detail is that you also see a lot of soot with a focus on the underside of the eye.

Intense eyes - Black eyeliner along the waterline is the best trick to quickly get a really intense look. However, many people may find that the eyes look more closed, then apply the eyeliner down a bit on the lower lash line as well, so that you "pull out" the gaze. Then that feeling disappears :)

Smokey eyes - Smokey eyes can vary as much as you like! Have a pigment-rich, carbon black shade in the make-up bag (or dark brown if you want a lighter version), apply and tone out the edges until you get a nice transition to the skin tone. Then you can choose if you want to complement with a color click, glitter, highlighter, a nice lip color, there are thousands of choices!

Extra important not to forget the eye shadow primer here only, it is even more visible with dark eye shadows if your make-up does not last all evening.
