New - Nanshy makeup brushes!

I feel that this will be a wonderful Friday, and I will start it by telling you about a fun news in the webshop! I've talked about them a bit in the blog already, but now Nanshy makeup brushes are finally available to buy !! You will find them all HERE :)

Nanshy is a brand from England that manufactures high quality makeup brushes, which are both vegan and cruelty-free. No animal hair has been used but everything is synthetic!

It does not matter how good products you have, if you have bad make-up brushes it is not easy to get a nice make-up :)

I have brought home makeup brushes for both face and eyes. There are three sets - one with 5 brushes only for the face and one with 7 brushes only for the eyes, and these brushes are also available as single brushes if you just want a single one!

Then there is also a "masterful" set that contains brushes for both eyes and face, and these are not the other two sets that are combined, but these are unique brushes that are only available in the Nanshy Masterful Collection Pearlescent set.

All makeup brushes are white and incredibly nice and luxurious, the kabuki brush that I have already sold for a while is black, and it has sold a lot already and been very popular :)

Another thing that is very good with the brushes is that they stand on the shaft of everyone what they are for, so you buy a few pieces and have a hard time memorizing in the beginning what everyone is for, so just look at the shaft!

Here are all 7 makeup brushes for the eyes, and these are therefore partly available to buy as one set for SEK 449, but can also be purchased separately for SEK 99 each.

Precise Bent Eyeliner Brush - A curved and narrow brush for applying eyeliner, makes it easy to access and see the lash line while painting.
Angled Detailer Brush - A narrow sent brush for small areas such as the lash lines, as well as the eyebrows.
Flat Definer Brush - A flat and straight brush that can both be used on the width to e.g. apply eyeshadow and eyeshadow primer, or on the side for straight and fine lines, e.g. on the lower lash line or for a sharp cat eye.
Blending Eyeshadow Brush - A soft brush that both works to apply eye shadow (on large areas) and fade it.
Eye Crease Brush - A rounded fading brush that is perfect for the globe line.
Tapered Crease Brush - A smaller rounded brush that is good both for applying eye shadow and fading it on smaller areas, e.g. at the end of the eyelid, out of the corner of the eye and along the lower lash line.
Large Shader Brush - A large and soft fade brush that refines your fades and makes them even softer and nicer.

Here are the make-up brushes for basic make-up, quite compact and incredibly smooth and soft on the face, absolutely wonderful and great for a flawless basic make-up! This set costs SEK 449, and if you want to buy single brushes, they cost SEK 149 each.

Flawless Foundation - Used to apply foundation, both liquid and powder form.
Buffed Base - Used either for mineral foundation or to apply powder products on smaller areas, e.g. highlighter on chin, cheekbones and forehead.
Blush & Bronze - Used for bronzer and blush, perfect for shaping the face.
Conceal Perfector - Great for applying concealer or a little extra foundation on areas that need more coverage. It comes in handy in small places such as under the eyes and around the nostrils.
Angled Airbrush - Used to apply powder and get a perfect final touch on the base, especially good for fixing a liquid foundation by lightly pressing the powder with this brush. Also great for smoothing out any bumps on bronzer and blush.

Nanshy Masterful Collection Pearlescent White is the most luxurious and useful set that contains makeup brushes for both eyes, face and lips! A few of the brushes for eye makeup are similar to the other sets, but in addition to them, this is a completely unique set with completely different brushes. For example. a large and fluffy powder brush and more fluffy smaller face brushes for blush and sun powder.

This set costs SEK 799!

Liner - A thin eyeliner brush that easily gives sharp and straight lines.
Angled Details - An oblique, flat brush with many uses, perfect for eyebrows and small details such as eyeliner and eye shadow along the lash lines. Great for getting a nice shading under the eye.
Blending - A soft and rounded brush that is perfect for a nice fade along the globe line. Also good for applying highlighter on smaller areas of the face, e.g. along the nasal bone.
Shader - Perfect brush to get nice and soft tones on the eye shadow.
Crease - A rounded brush that works well both for applying and fading eye shadow, great for fading eye shadow along the crease line before using the "blending brush".
Pencil - A slightly more compact rounded make-up brush that is perfect for fading out small areas, e.g. eye shadow under the eyes or if you want to get the eyeliner more smoky.

Foundation - An oblique, flat brush for foundation. Great for liquid foundation all over the face (also goes well under the eyes and around the nose). Also works well for applying concealer or highlighter on smaller areas of the face.
Contouring - A soft and oblique make-up brush that is perfect for bronzer and blush.
Powder - A large, fluffy and soft makeup brush that is wonderful when applying powder.
Blush - A fluffy and soft makeup brush that is great for applying blush or powder on smaller areas.
Stippling - A wonderful foundation brush that provides a lot of coverage and works the foundation properly into the skin for a natural and even result. Be light on the hand and work with circular movements over the skin, then the foundation will enter all small irregularities such as pores and wrinkles.

Lip - A lip brush is both more hygienic and easy to use instead of applying with the lip product directly on the lips. Gives sharp and even lip contours! Has an included metal sleeve so that the brush does not smudge in the make-up bag before washing it.

Kabuki brush (SEK 149) has been on Byher.se for a while already, it is a soft and fluffy makeup brush that is specially adapted to apply mineral foundation and powder. Absolutely wonderful if you ask me! :)

I will tell you in more detail about the brushes in other posts, e.g. the stippling brush which is a bit special. I will also try to show in my step-by-step pictures which brushes I use for different parts of the eyes so that you can see properly.

I am completely in love with this makeup brush brand, nice, soft and really good brushes! :)

Shout out if you have any questions ♥

Wish make-up - Bridal make-up

I received an email the other day:

Hi Helena, I love your blog get so many tips and ideas from you: D I wonder if you have the time and opportunity to help me, I am getting married this summer and have found such a nice make-up that I would like. But I wonder if you would like to help me and show step by step how to make this up and maybe even tips on eye shadows etc.

I should have off-white lace dress, apricot-colored flowers (also thought to get that color in lipstick), curly hair released a bit bohemian all over. Do you have blonde hair and blue eyes, do you think this would be nice together with that make-up? ”

I absolutely believe it will be great!

And it's not really that hard to get, as long as you have a good fading brush so that you get nice and soft edges. I had used three different matte brown eye shadows, it is easiest to get nice and then the whole will not be too dark either, even though the make-up is very dark at the outer edges :)

Then I had lit up under the eyebrow and in the corner of the eye with a shimmery shadow to get a little more life in the make-up!

Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Shine Control Cream-Gel

1

I have received a home test of Lumene's new day cream for oily skin - Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Shine Control Cream-Gel, and since it is not so good for the skin to change skin care so often, I have no plans to continue using it for a long time, but I have tested it for three days and thought I would tell you what I think! :)

Description on Eleven.se:
“A cream-gel that with the help of antioxidants from Nordic cloudberry and vitamin C helps to control shine, reduce the visibility of pores and give luster! This cream-gel is extra effective thanks to a special encapsulation technique. Your skin gets a naturally matte look, and feels fresh and soft all day long! ”

This is because we with oily skin should be careful to use products that contain oil during the day, otherwise the skin can become even more oily after a while. But the skin still needs a lot of moisture, so you should not be careless with the lubrication just for that!

I who have oily skin can from experience say that some products that contain oil actually work great too, so there is a cream or similar that you really want to use so do not see it as a deal breaker but try! The important thing is just that the oil is light and goes into the skin quickly, then it usually works great, at least on my skin.

But if you want to be on the safe side, you can choose a day cream that is completely free of oil, and from what I have tested, I like Lumene's new cream very much!

The texture is like a gel and goes very quickly into the skin, and the skin feels really moisturized and smooth afterwards! And besides, it smells super tasty, very sweet and fresh without becoming strong.

In terms of dullness, it is not a product that you notice results from immediately, not me in any case. You may be able to see results immediately if you have previously used a product with oil that makes the skin worse, but it is nothing that I have done.

Summary - It feels like a very wonderful and good day cream for you who are looking for oil-free products!

Recommended price is SEK 169 but HERE is selling it right now for SEK 135!

Hugs are ♥

Smokey eyes for blue eyes

In today's make-up, I show how you can easily make a smokey eye become more lively - and that is by applying a very shimmery eye shadow on the entire eyelid before to use the black shadow!

Then the shimmer will shine through (it is important that you have a good and pigment-rich black shadow just so that it does not become dull) and then you can also apply more shimmer around for an even more effective result :)

I chose to use shady shadows in gold and yellow, because it highlights my blue eyes a little extra! However, they look unusually dark gray in the pictures, haha, there must be something with the light.

Lumene CC Color Correcting & Blurring Primer

Lumene has quite recently launched two new face primers with blur effect, such a primer makes pores and such irregularities fill in and appear smaller.

I have reviewed Lumene Matifying & Pore minimizing Primer in this post I wrote last fall, and now I have also tested Lumene CC Color Correcting Blurring Primer and thought to tell you what I think of it! :)

The big difference is that Matifying & Pore minimizing Primer is colorless, while the CC primer should also correct the skin tone.

I like Lumene's both blur primers, they fill in the pores well (I do not have super large but absolutely existing ones) and I think it is a really good product to have under their foundation!

Their degrading properties are not as effective as I would have liked, but absolutely better than without primer. But I also use my usual numbing primer that I apply all over my face, and then I take blur primer on the areas where I have larger pores.

The big difference should be that the CC primer also evens out the skin tone, which it does pyttelite but if you imagine that there will be a clear difference, you will be disappointed.

The biggest difference in my opinion is that the CC primer is felt yet smoother on the skin! It feels really super smooth :)

The primer has a slight tendency to "roll" on the skin, so it kind of crumbles a bit. I saw tendencies to this but when I massaged it in properly it went great!

This is how I look after the primer, unfortunately forgot to take a photo before but it is kind of the same although the pores are a little smaller. I think the big difference is more noticeable in reality and especially after foundation when you get a flawless and smooth result :)

Summary - This is a good blur primer for you who like a smooth and smooth skin, it improves the skin tone a little but you still look unmade up. If you have very oily skin, you should supplement with a degrading primer as well!

Any of you who have tested this? What did you think? :)
