Today's make - up could not be more suitable for oh so nice trees are along the highway now. Absolutely orange red! An autumnal orange & yellow make-up to highlight blue eyes.
Here is a nice autumn make-up for you! This is made to emphasize blue eyes. ♥
Of course, the yellow shimmer shadow (which goes a bit in the gold direction) fits very well this autumn! Love it!!
Here is a step by step description of my makeup to highlight blue eyes:

Now I'm going to Finland over the weekend so I do not think I have time to blog more this week, so you know if you get worried about my silence;)
Hope you liked the post about highlighting blue eyes with this makeup. Get in touch if you have any questions. Feel free to read my previous post about complementary colors.
Here is a post on how you can make away pimples in a way that looks very natural. Step by step, before and after pictures, product tips and lots of info!
Removing pimples does not have to mean that you make a full-face mask all over your face, with the right products and knowledge you can get a natural base at the same time as you conjure away all the red dots! :)
The product tips are suitable for all skin types, regardless of whether you are dry or oily, because not everyone with pimples automatically has oily skin. I myself have oily skin, but if you read this and have normal / dry skin, you can do exactly the same but take less of the degrading powder only.
Make up pimples step by step:
More about that further down:
Sometimes the attraction team works better than you want;) Last weekend, Malin and I (who are web assistants in the company) sat and talked about my makeup posts in the webshop. Some are old and would need to be renewed. An example is the posts where I show step by step how you can remove pimples with our products.
Then I said "butI can not take pictures before and after of pimples if I do not have any pimplesr, my skin has been so heavenly good lately”.
Cut to: My skin today, it's been a long time since I had such big and irritated blemishes that really hurt! I have a sore throat too and first thought it spread up to my ear before I realized that half the pain was the big fin that was sitting there haha.
But I'm happy about that, because now I can take before and after pictures and show you how to cover pimples easily with our products! :)
Products & purpose:
The purpose of today's base make - up is to show that just because you have pimples, you do not need to have full make - up on your entire face. I have applied a colored face primer all over the face which gives very weak coverage and then a full-coverage concealer only on the pimples, that's all the coverage, nothing more!
A little powder on it (to fix the concealer properly) then it's ready :) In the picture above I also have contouring, blush, eyebrows and lips, then the base was completely finished.
Before after:
Here is the result after the three products I show in the first picture - colored primer, concealer and powder:
In these times with all filters and edited images everywhere, I must also add that even solid makeup type is magic then it is not 100% magic.
A red pimple can be completely removed if it is flat and even in structure, but like these pimples which are a bit sore + stand out, it is not possible to get completely smooth no matter how good products you have. So do not stare blindly in the mirror, no one is looking at you so closely. You can create illusions but you can not fill in heights. Not with ordinary makeup in any case;)
At the salon we have very strong light at the mirrors and in the last 2 years it has become more common for people to point out lines under the eyes and that a pimple is "still visible" even though it is completely covered, the answer is as simple as we do not sell instagram filters;) You can even out both skin tone and skin structure a lot, but if you look closely you will still be human :)
Step by step on how to make up pimples:
Of course I will show you step by step too! Further down in the post, you see close-ups of the pimples step by step as well.
1. Tinted Primer from glo Skin Beauty
A colored face primer, what is the purpose of it?
Characteristics
This primer is absolutely insanely soft in the formula, so lovely !! The result is matte and does not need to be fixed with powder and contains sunscreen (spf 30). So if you use it all alone, you can say that there are four products in one - sunscreen, primer, foundation and powder!
With or without foundation
Either you can use the primer without foundation on top. The result is a smoother skin structure and a smoother skin tone at the same time! But weak coverage and a natural result.
Or you have a foundation left over. This means that you can have less foundation (you know that I advocate thin layers of more products than a thick layer of the same), which is extra nice if you, like me, often use mineral foundation.
I myself use it a little differently, but often completely alone. Then it is enough to supplement with concealer and I will be satisfied with the coverage. If the skin structure is even, I do not feel that I need as much coverage either.
Application
I apply with my fingers only, quickly and easily.
Coverage
The coverage is weak when compared to a foundation, more like a colored day cream I would say. As you can see in the picture, the skin becomes much smoother, but it has such a weak coverage that redness shines through almost as much as before. But for the rest of the face, that coverage is enough if you want a natural result :)
Also available in more shades, even dark! I have Light in this post.

2. Under Eye Concealer from glo Skin beauty
This concealer is called "under eye" and I use it partly under the eyes but do not be fooled by the name because it is so good on the whole face and on pimples too!
Why is it so good on pimples?
Formula
Since it is made for the thin skin under the eyes, it is very thin in texture but still very pigment-rich, you really need a little bit. And these are properties that are exemplary on pimples as well. You do not want a thick and sticky layer without a lot of coverage of a small amount of cream.
Packaging
I'm generally a little bit against canned cream products, but not when it comes to concealer for these irritated pimples! Because then I want to use a separate brush with exactly the right amount (which you then choose yourself) which I wash between times. It feels more hygienic than concealers with applicator brush in the lid that you never clean.
Two-tone
If you use a concealer under your foundation, it is not really as important to match the color exactly, because the foundation will make your concealer blend in. But in this post, I do not apply any foundation and then it is important that the shade matches your skin tone.
That it is two-colored is then great because there is not a huge difference in the shades (so that in the end you only use one of them) so it fits all year, in the winter I only use the light and in the summer only the dark, but right now I'm mixing.
But also I use different in different parts of the face. It's individual but I'm lighter in the middle of my face and a little darker in the rest. In addition, I want an enlightened tone under the eyes. So I myself use the light alone under the eyes, a mixture 50/50 on most pimples but on some I use almost only the darker. Because as I said, so much darker than it is not.
I do not mix the creams on the side, but if I want a mixed shade, I dab lightly with a brush in the light cream and then lightly on the dark one. Then it mixes directly on the skin then.
Also available in more shades! I have Golden in this post.
Application
I use a small brush and dab on the pimples, I spread the cream around the pimple with the brush so that it melts into the skin. So dab on, spread out the edges.
Which brush you use actually matters as long as it is small so that you get precision. In this post I use Nanshy Tapered Crease brush which is actually for eye shadows. But a flat goes just as well, e.g. the concealer brush in wood from Eco Minerals.
Keep in mind that it is very good! You need very little!

3. Bamboo Silk Powder from Paese
Why do you need powder too?
Fix concealer
The concealer fits well without fixing with powder if you apply a thin layer, but when you cover this much, I usually recommend fixing with powder so that the cream stops being creamy. Otherwise there is a risk that it will drop if you happen to access the area during the day.
Pillows all over the face if you have oily skin
But the colored primer does not need to be fixed with powder, so if you have dry / normal skin, it is enough to dab powder only where you have applied concealer. But I who have oily skin apply the powder on the face to keep it shiny free longer.
Add glow! The end result does not have to be dull
The result of this is thus dull, but it is very easy to get a glow on the face if you wish. Spray Pixi Makeup Fixing mist which both extends the durability of the makeup and gives a more moisturized result, as well as adding a lustrous highlighter on the high parts of the face. For example. Pixi Glow-Y-Powder!

Close-ups - make up pimples:
I also took close-ups of each step so you can see the difference after each product even more clearly:
Here you can see more clearly that the colored primer does not provide significant coverage on the pimples themselves, but enough for the rest of the face. On the pimples, it is the concealer that does the job!
Clear! Three simple steps but a lot of info haha :)
Hope you were inspired and that the tips were helpful and that you learned how to make up pimples with the help of my step by step guide!
There was no Sunday post last weekend because I was going to have a job meeting with Malin who works from home (with web, marketing etc.) in Gimo and took the opportunity to visit Miska's mom, my dad and our friends when we were still there and visited. So I was busy being free, you could say, it is also needed sometimes;)
New song! Dead alive by Kiddo
A few weeks ago I wrote about a make-up job I did in Stockholm for the artist Kiddo who was to release a new single. Now the song is out! Her album cover is animated but they would take some advertising pictures etc. with the song release and that was the photography I made up for.
Kiddo (or Emma as she is called) has a very funny Instagram because she animates almost all her pictures and even those that were to be photographed that day she would draw a little later. Cool with half-animated pictures!
Got a behind the scene from when I put on makeup too! Ergonomic haha. When you do freelance work, there are almost always only low chairs for the model and that's hard enough, but now it was an even lower stool and no table for the products. Sometimes I sat on my knees in front instead of it was kind of easier than standing :) But when you do freelance work so rarely, there is no danger at all!
Search for Kiddo on Spotify! My favorite song is called Trouble, but after Dead alive was released, Trouble is no longer on "the 5 most popular", but I recommend you look it up anyway. So good!
Miska practices eyebrow tattooing
2 weeks ago I posted that Miska practices permanent makeup on latex skin and various fruits haha. Now he has started practicing on real people!
As I already blogged about (see before and after pictures in this post) so I was the very first test person. It was not so scary because they chose such a mischievous color so there was no great risk if he would happen to tattoo too deep or uneven because it becomes so diffuse after healing anyway :)
Here he fills in Annika's eyebrows that wanted to improve a little hair here and there :)
And today, customers come all the way from Lysekil to Uppsala to be tattooed by Miska! We will see how he feels after the tattoos today, but the hope is that he will feel ready to open times for real customers from now on, but for a super cheap apprenticeship price of SEK 2,700 in limited numbers!
Miska already has a list of interests with people who want to book for that price! You can email him at miska@creativemakeup.se if you want to be contacted when it is possible to book, which will be quite soon.
Here he tattoos the first person he does not know! Then he had only practiced on me and Annika before.
Here is the result:
Nice right? :)
When you are an apprentice, it is not only important to get a good result immediately afterwards, but everything should stick after the healing time as well. So it will be exciting with all return visits later!
Last Friday, he tattooed a test person who had an old tattoo under already:
She said afterwards "it feels like i did a hair transplant" Lol :)
My own make-up brand is advancing!
I have teased you that I am looking at the possibilities of starting my own make-up brand, I can not say more than that, but just wanted to tab in here that it is progressing! This is a huge project and I let it take time because it is so important to get everything right from the start. I see it as a pyramid, you can build damn solid if you have a good foundation;)
This week I was at least in a meeting and talked for 2 hours about this and feel like a much wiser person now. It's a whole jungle of things to think about!
I do not dare to shout hello until I have crossed the river, but of all the big dreams I have had, this one feels most likely that it will actually get rid of. When you are creative and fearless, you sometimes start up things that you then put aside for various reasons, so there are some things in the luggage that I believed in but never got rid of in the end. But this feels like it's moving forward, it feels right!
But it can take a whole year before I can tell you what it's about, and certainly 2 years before you can buy the products. Things like this take time. But I do not have so bad patience actually because it is the process I think is the most fun! So myself I have my funniest time soon haha.
Here I sat one late night this week and did some of my own "makeup experiments" before the meeting! This is my new evening activity - nibble on Avec sweets (the box you see on the desk), drink tea, listen to podcasts / music and mess with products! Love!
I should have actually fixed a few different formulations this week to be put to the test, but it has been postponed for two weeks. Testing and reviewing products is the most fun I know, but to not only be able to give feedback but also make the changes myself and bring out the BEST it is so fun that I burst out !!
Event at Disruptive Materials!
Disruptive Materials (the company that works with the material Upsalite that I blogged a lot about, which can now be bought in Palina's new powder as well) had an "owner event" as they call it and I was invited again this year! They invite their investors and partners for an information evening where you learn more about Upsalite but above all are updated on how things are going for the company and all the news and projects they work with.
But it is not a "sit still on the butt and just listen-evening" but really upset with activities, incredibly good food and mingling. I had so much fun!
It's really fun to go to events with people other than beauty / press as I otherwise do. Here it was mixed with researchers, professors, investors. Great fun!
Here they gave a presentation about the different uses that Upsalite has. Partly drugs that are the main purpose, that is why they researched the material from the beginning.
But thanks to the enormous absorbency, it is also useful in cosmetics and sports. As you know, there is a powder to buy already, but did you know that they also have climbing powder that is available to buy? :)
Soon a "liquid climbing powder" will also be launched, which we got to put to the test in a competition about who could hang the longest:
I won haha! I am really weak but do not weigh much because I am short and slim so I had a small advantage there, but above all I was really impressed (!) By the good grip you got with upsalite in your hands! Sick! I kind of did not need to tense the muscles so as not to slip off, I just held on :)
Another activity was to guess which powder all the jars contained, one was upsalite which was easy to guess because I know exactly how it feels and then you had to mix in moisture and oil and then you immediately see which one absorbs well.
But baking powder I also knew because it bubbled when you put on water, I have tried to make face masks with it haha so that's why I knew it :) Sometimes you get generalized by being beauty crazy too!
Then there were other activities where you needed more brains and then I took a step aside, but luckily we had various professors and math geniuses in our group so we won the whole competition! Great fun! :)
Vacation planning & staff meeting
One of the improvement points we raised at the kickoff two weeks ago was that we need to get better at holiday planning. I have said yes to basically everyone's holiday wishes at the same time, which has been a bit crazy :)
This summer, it resulted in the staff being away at the same time for too much, which will be bad both for the customers and for our finances. And now I am facing the same problem as every year: everyone asks for leave over Christmas / New Year, so if I were to say yes to everything, we will be completely closed for half the month.
Other companies have systems such as "every other year" or early / late holidays in the summer, etc. But it is not very comforting to say "you get what you want .. in a year!”. Or? :)
I think it is a long-term investment, if the staff is well, the company is doing well! But it's also about me having so much understanding for their privacy, there are always circumstances like that kindergarten is closed, they want to take advantage when the children are allowed, they want to take time off these days because then they found a cheap trip, they should visit their family who live in another country, etc., etc.
But this week I puzzled with the schedule and managed to compromise so that everyone was happy and we only need to have closed 2 days + the red days. So it will be very closed anyway because Christmas Eve is in the middle of the week but in any case not completely closed for 2 weeks.
I really want to praise my nice colleagues who are so cute and line up like this! It is of course that they want to be free, but they are still very helpful with compromises because they also think about the company and the customers' best interests.
This week we also had the first meeting after the kickoff and it's really good teamwork! So much fun! :)
Ida offered buns! How cozy? :)
From now on, we will again have staff meetings every other week with the entire salon. We did so evenly before but then Annika became on maternity leave and with local relocation and everything, we took a break with the meeting structure. But now we started with kickoff and after that there will be a meeting every other week and every four weeks we also have individual meetings with each person.
The word meeting I think sounds a bit serious though, we meet and talk simply :)
Take care of Mileya
Now that both Annika and Miska have been sitting with permanent makeup customers, I have taken care of Mileya more than usual. It is impossible to work at the same time but I can work in the evenings then instead so it goes pretty well anyway because it is not about every day.
I told you that we had poop chaos and screaming party in the staff room a few weeks ago haha but now it has gone very well! She is 9 months now and we have potty trained her since she was a newborn and when I have had her it has not been a poop diaper once but I always manage to see the signals so that we have time to walk on the potty in peace and quiet with happy faces and everything. IF I feel good then? Prouder than the first time I managed to paste on false eyelashes perfectly on the first try haha.
Here we sit and fool around while Miska tattooed in the room next door and Annika was there to support. This little lady also took her first step last Friday !! She gets up from the floor completely without support as well and it probably will not be on until she runs around here. SO go!
No, this is not going to be a mom blog either. My God, you're probably not a bit interested in poop diapers and potty training !! I'm just blabbering on!
Now I will take care of Mileya again while Miska tattoos the customers from Lysekil and then it will probably be a quiet Sunday night on the schedule. New hold again next week :)
Balayage is a way to dye / bleach the hair that has become very trendy lately and I think it's so nice! I do my balayage in Uppsala.
Monica Werner who runs the salon Color and the shape in Uppsala has taken several courses in these techniques and is extremely good, she has so many color customers that she no longer accepts customers who only book haircuts.
In fact, lately I have not been able to recommend her at all because she had a total booking ban for new customers, but now she has opened up for everyone to book her again and thinks it is great fun with new faces in the hairdresser's chair - so now you all can book an appointment with her! :) I have been going to her for any number of years, so I am definitely not sponsored but this is simply a genuine tip for all of you who have the roads past Uppsala.
Balayage Uppsala
Anyway, she used the balayage technique when she lit up my long outgrowth this Monday. This is how nice it turned out:
She blow-dried her hair and curled with straighteners because if you blow-dry a permanent hair it will be fresh, so my permanent has not disappeared, it's just another styling. Will be washing my hair this weekend, it will be fun to see what the permanent looks like in shorter hair!
What is balayage?
Balayage is a technique you use to get a more natural result when you lighten the hair with bleaching, more sun-kissed than curls :) There will be more depth / dimensions in the hair, with darker in the scalp, which gives more life than if you dye / bleaches the entire hair in the same color.
How much contrast you have in the base color compared to the tops is different. Right now we have a very gentle transition because she did not want to bleach so hard on my permanent hair. It is illuminated but I still feel darker because she cut off what was most pale haha. In the tops I was almost completely bleached since before :)
I think there are several different ways to do balayage, but this is how my hair looked from above during the treatment!
Monica's dog Zambo is at the salon, the world's finest! Monica is not only my hairdresser but my friend as well and it was so cozy during the working time on the floor with a cup of coffee and a dog treat :)
Balayage is an investment
I often talk to customers at the salon who go to the hairdresser every other month to color the growth and I think every time "god how nice it is with balayage!".
The base color in my hair is namely my natural and then when it grows out, it blends in with the rest of the hair very nicely. Before, when I completely bleached my hair, it took a month ago, you bothered on that sharp edge in the scalp every single day!
Now it's exactly 10 months since I last visited Monica and it still looks good!
Fint va? :)
I think it was nice before too, I do not mind the long growth in terms of appearance because it goes together so nicely with the rest of the hair. But on the one hand I wanted shorter hair again (has time to grow a lot in almost a year) and also I do not like the quality of the growth because it is for good haha.
When you bleach your hair, the structure becomes more porous / rough even though it still feels well-groomed - which makes it easier to get volume. When I have my own hair color, the hair is so soft and heavy! Then it is almost impossible to get volume.
My hair color is a bit of a mystery because it looks different all the time, I almost always hear "have you dyed your hair?" Lol. The tone differs a little depending on how long / how much I had of my colored packaging in the shower, but also a lot depending on how much I fluffed up the volume, what legs I have or if I have it set up.
Compare with this post (link) as I wrote 2 months ago. Now I have bleached my hair more than then but it looks so much lighter in that hairstyle. How is that even possible :)
My photo light at home gets a little flat so I finish with a picture that Monica took of me at the salon with her mobile, then the shifts will look great!
The curls she made have held so well that my permanent has not started to appear even though it is 3 days ago now. But I long for the weekend when I will wash it at home because it will be exciting to see what it looks like when it is curly :) I hope the permanent has stayed nice!
Monica has super-service on her website and do online consultations with all new customers where you send in pictures of your hair. Then she can answer exactly what is possible based on your conditions and book in long enough, because with all the balayage techniques and stuff like that now, it is very difficult to place that responsibility on the customer. You have no idea about that!
She is not cheap Monica, but so professional and it is also worth it if you are going to dye balayage - because if you do it well, it can take over a year before you need to book the next time. Love it :)
For fun, I show how my hair has changed in the last 4.5 years! The pictures are in order (although I have had more intermediate colors between the pictures) and the oldest was taken in May 2015. By then we had not started the salon yet!
In the picture, I think that the warm tones are very nice, but nowadays I thrive best in as cold as possible. I enjoyed both pink and turquoise but only when I was fixed :)
Variety is the most fun I think! Just to vary different tones on blonde hair, I think makes a difference, then you never get tired.
If you are also going to do balayage uppsala, I recommend going to Monica Werner! :)
Last week I was at an event with many "highs" or what do you say haha. It was a mixed crowd of researchers, investors, math geniuses and professors, among others.
The dress code was "business casual" and I, who is not afraid to have my own style, dressed in lipstick from head to toe (a jumpsuit in lipstick fabric that I sewed myself) and wore burgundy on both eyes and lips! :)
Hope you like the makeup too! Here is a step by step:

This eyeshadow is absolutely amazing I think !!! It is not a cream eyeshadow but the formula is still a bit in the creamy direction. And the color ?! So fine!
