Natural makeup on guys and men

This tip obviously applies to both girls and boys who want to look unmade up, but still put away things they do not like, such as. blemishes and bags under the eyes. But every now and then I get questions from guys who feel that it is important not to look made up at all, so now I thought I would make a post about it!

My nice Miska has set up as a model :) He is an incredibly simple model to show this on, because he already has such heavenly nice skin!

I first use "invisible makeup" which is two face primers with different properties. Then I use mineral make-up, it is so good because you do not have to use it all over the face to get an even result, but you can still be unmade up on large parts of the face without it looking strange and uneven.

There are three important points to keep in mind:
1. Do I only have a little to cover? In such cases, concealer and mineral powder are sufficient.
2. Do I have a lot to cover? Then it is good with sun powder and preferably glow powder as well, to get back the shape and more life in the face. Otherwise you look flat and a little unnatural.
3. The area that is most difficult to make up for irregularities in if you are still to feel like yourself, is the eyes. You are so used to looking yourself in the eye in the mirror. If you want to be completely natural and just have a flawless complexion, you can skip makeup around the eyes completely and leave the irregularities.

I have made up Miska with all the details I came up with, even though he does not need everything, just so you can see the difference. Here are the before and after:

Here, Miska has no makeup at all on the sides of the face, except for a little sun powder, and yet the skin looks so heavenly perfect! Actually, I only had to do steps 3 and 6 to get a flawless result, and possibly 7 and 8 also because it's nice.

But here is a list of everything I have applied, I have made up in this order as well:

1. Face primer for dry / normal skin all over the face, Paese Make Up Base Smoothing.
2. Face primer filling the pores in the areas where it is needed, NYX Pore Filler.

3. Green concealer on blemishes, Yag mineral Concealer Covers Red works well, but I have actually used an upcoming novelty from Yag which is a green concealer pen.
4. Light concealer both under and over the eyes, Yag mineral Concealer Covers Dark.
5. Beige eyeliner along the waterline, Paese Eye Pencil Beige.

6. Mineral Foundation everywhere I have put concealer, + a little around the nose out on the cheeks, Yag mineral foundation.
7. Sun pillows in the deep parts of the face, e.g. the sides of the nose, chin, forehead and under the cheekbones, Yag mineral bronzer.
8. Glow pillows on nose, forehead, cheeks and chin for more radiance in the face, Paese Glow Powder.

Tip! When you have applied the sun powder on the selected parts of the face, then lightly wipe with the brush over the entire face (when you have some sun powder left on the brush, but not much) close your eyes and apply over the eyelids as well, you get a little more color and shape in the whole face!

If you, like me, have also removed a lot of irregularities around the eyes, then you can put a little extra sun powder on the eyelids, so that they get more shape again. You can apply it with a small brush.

Then do not forget to moisturize a top and remove any makeup residue from the lips!

Other details (not important, but nice):
9. Eyebrow shadow (slightly) on the eyebrows.
10. Brown eyeliner on any birthmarks and things that have happened to end up under the make-up (I have not done this on Miska)
11. Concealer pen around the lips to strengthen the contours (coming to the webshop soon)
12. Lip balm without color for natural and healthy lips.

Is not he cute! :)

I can add that he went to his friend after this, who did not notice any difference. So that's a good review!

Now I'm going to a salon opening ♥

Jobs at Creative Make Up!

From next week, I will work at Creative Make Up in Uppsala every Thursday!

Mainly I will do classic treatments such as plucking eyebrows and coloring eyebrows / lashes. But I will be on site all day at 10-18 even when I do not have bookings, in case you want to buy products and get makeup tips :)

(These are not my webshop products then, but those that the salon sells)

It will be really great to get away from work routines at home one day a week and do something else. In addition, there are mostly eyebrow bookings at the salon, and I love to fix eyebrows so I really long for that!

click here to book an appointment online!

But note that only Thursdays can be booked on, and I only make picks and color of lashes and eyebrows, not eyelash permanent (you can book Jeanette at the salon for that). And makeup bookings I also take of course :)

Brown smokey eye

Yesterday my wonderful sister Linda was at my house, and after a few cups of coffee I pulled out all the makeup brushes and then she posed as a makeup model :)

Here is the result:

Mini photo studio at home

0

Many of you have asked about my little photo studio and how I get good pictures even though it is dark outside. So now I thought I would tell you :)

The most common question I have been asked is "what have you bought for a new camera? But I use the exact same camera as always, the Canon eos 550D. What has made my pictures better and better is that about a year ago I took Emelie Ohlsson's web course in photography and learned the basics of how to use a system camera.

The course helped me sooo much, I really recommend it to all of you who (just like me) fall asleep as soon as someone tries to explain iso, shutter speed, aperture and all that. Snark… But Emelie does it in a very educational and interesting way! You will find the course here, it costs SEK 599 :)

Then I bought a 50 mm lens and started shooting with the off setting and daylight instead of auto and the built-in flash. But it became problematic now in the autumn / winter when the light hours are few and quite gray. So instead I asked the photographer Niklas Lundengård about some tips when he shot a photo that I made up for, and he was so extremely helpful and before I knew it he had sent links to exactly what I would buy to get a complete mini studio that I can pick up and set away every day without it taking up super large space in our little one. So nice !!!

This is what it looks like in our small living room now between the sofa and the TV while I take pictures, and then I put everything in the corner next to the bed when I'm done.

The most important purchase was this studio flash kit which contains two flashes with softbox + tripod, cables and accessories. Then I also bought a beauty dish + adapter (so use beauty dish on one flash and a soot box on the other), and a large and white background + stand for it.

I bought everything from cyberphoto.se, they had fast delivery and everything went flawlessly! Everything cost a total of SEK 8,000.

I took a picture of the settings with my mobile if you want to see it too:

photo settings

You have no idea how wonderful these photo things are to me! It saves so much time!

In addition to the fact that it required a lot of work before with time planning (timing in daylight), test photos, changing settings and editing lights in photoshop, it was also boring because my photos became so flat. All shading and highlighter were blown away and no matter how much glow powder I had, the skin got no glow at all in the pictures.

But now there is a big difference :)

then-now

The then pictures were taken in really good daylight, while the now pictures are super nice even though they were taken in the evening when it was completely dark outside.

Now the images are sharper, more colorful and much more like reality. In addition, it does not require as much time and work at all, which is incredibly nice!

now then

I believe in itself that I can still make a lot of improvements on this front, I work my way forward and test a little different every day. But the improvement from just one year ago is huge!

Hope this was interesting also for you who have not wanted this post, and for you who were curious - hope you have received answers to your questions and otherwise you will have to shout :)
