The gray-black trio palette from Paese (no. 685) is a classic "party palette" that many people associate with smoky eyes as it is very good for it.

But the light gray eye shadow is actually extremely nice even alone for an everyday make-up, so I thought I would show you today :)

Perfect for you who like a little cooler tones!

The lipstick is Paese Lipstick which contains argan oil, this is shade no.10!

Summer feels more relevant than ever in this heat wave, but now it's still August and autumn is approaching more and more (which does not feel completely shameful for us who sit and work in 30 degree heat?) :)

When I think of autumn / late summer nails, I think of something bright that still highlights the tan, while at the same time you want to take a break from all the summer colors.

One tip is Lumene Gloss & Care Nail Polish in the shade 39 Sandy Brook, it is a glittery texture varnish with a color that is a mixture of silver and beige. Suuuperfint!

The nail polish costs SEK 55, and if I remember correctly, this Gloss & Care series will be discontinued and completely replaced with the Gel Effect varnish. But Nordic Feel at least has Gloss & Care nail polish left and you will find them here!

Isadora Flashing Volume mascara

What kind of eyelashes you like is very individual, I personally like separated lashes that look more natural than very painted, while many people like the slightly more extreme lashes.

During the summer, I tested IsaDora's new mascara Flashing Volume mascara, it is quite difficult to work with and you have to test it a few times to get it, but it gives a little more extreme lashes for those of you who prefer it.

This is how it is described on IsaDora's website:

“Small magic brush. Fantastic lashes!
• Unique hollow brush = gives double the amount of mascara on the lashes
• Gives volume and an illusion of false eyelashes
• "Plumping" effect - fills in the lashes to the maximum
• Defines and separates each fringe
• Moisture resistant

The unique mini brush is hollow, which gives twice as much mascara on the lashes. In addition, the mini brush provides an accurate and simple application, especially in the corner of the eye. Definition and separation of each fringe. "

I can say that this is not a mascara for me, it has a lot of negative parts in my opinion. But at the same time, I think that people with long eyelashes who like a lot of effect will like it!

1. The brush
The mascara is difficult to work with as the spikes on the rubber brush are quite short and the hollow brush absorbs a little too much mascara at once. You want to be able to comb the straws more, but then there will be so much mascara so it just gets messy.

2. Application
A bit comical that the mascara is called "Instant WOW Effect Mascara", because when I tested it for the first time, I exclaimed "Hjääääälp!" because I did not really know how to save the situation. So the mascara gets a minus for that. Instant-help-me-mascara, haha.

But it was only the first time that luck was :) If you scrape off some of the mascara in the opening of the sleeve before and are a little careful when applying, the result will be quite good.

Sustainability
It does not crumble, but it smears a little on the eyelids in this hot weather!

4. End result
The result will not be perfect in my eyes, but the lashes will be full and the volume, length and the final separation is not wrong :)

However, I personally do not think that you should need Mecca so much with a mascara, it should just work!

Summary:

How is the application?
First time disaster, but you learn to deal with it.

What do I think about the volume effect?
The lashes get absolutely a lot of volume!

What do I think of the definition?
Once you get to that, the lashes separate very well, but the short spikes on the brush at the same time as there was so much mascara at once made it a bit difficult in the beginning.

What do I think about the extension?
Yes, I actually think they will stay longer!

What do I think of the brush?
Njaa, unfortunately so… Good ideas but on my lashes it did not work really.

What do I think about mascara in general
No mascara for me as I want it to be quick and easy to apply, but the end result is not entirely a shame.

What grade would I give the mascara?
I have a little hard to know if I should lift or these, because I think many will like the mascara with it probably depends on both the lashes and what result you are looking for. But I personally would probably give 3 out of 10 only.

Would I recommend it to a friend?
Yes to a friend who likes a more extreme and "voluminous" mascara look, but I had probably let the person test mine first and see what he thinks of it before he buys.

What do I think is best about mascara?
That it gives a lot of volume and a dramatic look :)

Today's look is a make-up with all the focus on the top of the eye, it's so nice I think!

You can apply with very dark eye shadows and yet the overall impression is very open and bright, in addition, a make-up like this lifts the look super nice :)

I have brightened up the look with a shimmery light pink eye shadow, and then just worked with dark and matte shadows to get more depth in the makeup.

Fun with all the positive feedback about my and Malin's video podcast! We will soon record the next episode, do you have any questions you want us to address?

This is completely new to us and of course we will try to improve all the small details and take into account everything you write. I thought I would answer some of your comments already now so you know how we think :)

1. "Film closer to the face"
We had a bit of decision anxiety about the distance as you probably still want to be able to see my products I have in front of me on the table? It is a detail I myself miss in regular makeup videos, that it gets a little stripped down to always only see the products when the person holds them up next to the face. But maybe it's just me who is an extreme makeup nerd who thinks it's fun to see how the person picks the cans and fills the makeup brush with paint? :) If you turn on full screen, I think you see the makeup pretty well anyway.

Maybe can start cutting in pictures of the result at the end? Here is at least one picture of the make-up I did in the video:

2. "Better quality"
This point will get better. My system camera does not have auto-focus so we use my sister's digital camera which is much better than many digital cameras. However, I still have plans to buy a new system camera so it may be off soon! Malin also has plans for a new camera in September, so if I have not had time before, it will at least be better then.

However, Youtube is the biggest reason why the quality has deteriorated, it is much better when you look directly at the computer than it is on Youtube. In addition, it depends on which computer you are sitting at as well (do not know why) because on my mother's computer the quality is much better than on my laptop.

Do I have a technical reader who knows more exactly how to proceed to get better quality? :) We film with Samsung NX1100 Smart Wi-Fi Digital Camera.

3. "We want to see a little of Malin too"
Haha, this point is not me who decides but it is just to respect that Malin does not want to be seen in public in that way, but you never know if you get a sneak peek at some point in the future;) But we often hear that we is the same, so imagine a tanned Helena with brown hair and straighter teeth and you have the answer hihi :)

4. "Shorter movies"
I can only agree with you that episode 2 got a little too long! You have no idea how bad a time perception you have when I'm doing it, and that I also have a hard time keeping myself short does not make it better;) Some movies will be shorter and some a little longer, but nothing will probably be as long as the last. No longer than 30 minutes is our goal anyway!

5. “Think it was a fun idea. But became so curious about the primer you used in the beginning that I could hardly concentrate. Felt a strong must have desire. :) Where can I find it, what does it cost, how fast can I get it? : D ”
Haha I laughed out loud when I read this comment :) Most products I use are from creativemakeup.se, including the primerMatte Base which is from Paese :) It costs SEK 149 and has sold so crazy well that it is already finished, but I am making a new order today that should come next week! Once you have ordered in the webshop, it is fast delivery home, all orders that arrive before 4 pm have time most often sent the same day, and arrives most often already the next day depending on how efficient Posten is.

Thanks for all the response, we are still amateurs on this but it will only get better and better :)
