Tomorrow is the last day to vote for the finalists, of which a boy and a girl win a day of styling and photography in Alex and Martin's studio. I'm in charge of the make-up! :)

To vote, you must have Instagram, go to the Forum Gallery (@forumgallerian) and like the picture of the outfit you think is the most beautiful!

LdB Warm Embrace

I want to tell you about a new lotion that is available to buy now from October (SEK 33 for 250 ml) which I smeared myself in yesterday before I snuck down on the couch.

This lotion has a "warming scent" that makes me feel a bit like when it's winter, and you sit inside with mom and cuddle in front of the wood stove with a cup of hot chocolate. The scents are a combination of litchi, golden quince, kiwi and white chocolate.

It is actually the winner from LdB's competition that took place in the summer of 2012, where you would combine your own dream lotion - fragrance, design and formulation. The prize was a trip and to be part of developing the final product!

The prize went to Eva Xeyer from Sundsvall, who says the following:

“Fragrances are something very personal. It can take time to find the one that is absolutely perfect. But when you find the right one, then it feels like you are embraced by the scent. It feels like a "warm embrace". "

Adapted for normal to dry skin.

Thumbs up I say! But as I said, scents are very personal.

Have any of you tested / smelled this one? :)

A splash of color in the autumn darkness

Both the brain and the body feel like puree today… So excuse all the typos that probably appear here and there :) Have basically not slept a nap last night as my whole feet are covered in abrasions, one of which aches so I could not fall asleep.

Abrasions usually do not hurt so much if you do not wear shoes? I kind of walked around the apartment at 3 o'clock last night looking for some kind of anesthetic haha!

Also has itchy nickel allergy on the neck, pain in the whole side of the back and a little fever if you can complain properly;) Fishes a little care here.

Here is at least today's make-up. A little color always cheers up! :)

All eyeshadows are from Eleven 180 Palette.

1. Pink eye shadow along the globe line.
2. Orange-pink eye shadow at the end of the eyelid.
3. Light pink eye shadow deepest on the eyelid.
4. Blue eye shadow at the bottom of the lower lash line.
5. Light yellow eye shadow at the bottom of the lower lash line.
6. Blur the edges.
7. White eyeliner along the waterline, IsaDora Inliner Kajal (50 Satin White)
Black eyeliner + wing along the upper lash line, Kryolan Cake Eyeliner.
8. Black mascara on all lashes, Lumene Cloudberry Volume Serum Mascara.

Now I'm going to take a hot shower, drink a cup of tea and eat grapes in front of The Mentalist, and then hopefully fall asleep like a baby on the couch :)

Have a nice Wednesday night!

Photography course

0

Now I have sat and gone through the whole thing Emelie Ohlssons photography course on the web.

I will soon write more about it, I do not feel really ready yet but have to go back and rehearse certain parts I feel.

Today's make - up is at least a little postponed, I'm sitting right now going through all the settings I have learned, and comparing what difference there will be in the pictures depending on how I change the settings. I would like to find the perfect setting for my light and purpose before I take today's look :)

My goal is to get better makeup pictures for the blog, and I think I will have to buy a new lens and maybe an external flash before I am satisfied. But the most important thing is to know the camera, and for me who is both ignorant, un technical and basically quite uninterested, Emelie's course is worth gold! Now I even understand what ISO and aperture are :)

I do not even know what setting I usually have on the camera, I always happen to press buttons and turn knobs that I do not understand haha. But now there will be a change in that!

This is what it looked like when I practiced today:

It works, said the arsonist…

Nudh minerals foundation jars

One thing I completely forgot to say about nudh minerals foundation, is that it is a smaller jar than regular foundation jars. So it sounds a little cheaper than it is when it costs SEK 199.

But it is very well thought out! :)

On the one hand, you should be able to have the entire nudh series without having to have a large toiletry bag, if I compare with, for example, Lily Lolo, their cans are huge, if you then have both foundation, concealer, powder, blush and sun powder, then take it up the whole make-up bag, if it even fits.

You should also be able to buy nudh even if you do not put on make-up every day. If you buy a large jar for SEK 500 and do not use it out, it is not particularly hygienic or economical. Sad if an expensive foundation has to stand and get old.

This is especially true if you have an easy time getting tanned in the summer, or go abroad, and must have two different shades for a year.

We can compare with Bare Minerals, as it is one of the most common mineral brands. Their foundation jars contain 6 grams, and cost about SEK 475. (Source, Eleven.se). Nudh mineral contains 3 grams and costs SEK 199.

So if you buy two cans of nudh, it's still a little cheaper than Bare. And it is perfect if you then have a winter color and a summer color! Or if man like I did in yesterday's post on MM, put a lighter foundation in the middle of the face and my real color in the rest of the face, for a natural shading / highlighter!

This is the size of the nudh jars. And my hand is normal size hehe :)

Then I also read about why Many mineral brands use bismuth, which I quickly wrote about in this post not long ago, as many people get allergic reactions from it.

Bismuth is a kind of filler that expands the powder. In addition, it weighs more, and thus makes the product heavier so that you do not have to fill the jars as much.

Bare Minerals unfortunately contains Bismuth, so just because their foundation jar weighs twice as much as nudh (which does not contain Bismuth) so need it does not mean that it is twice as much powder.

I think that tables of contents should be both in grams and milliliters so that you can compare properly!

Do you not agree with me? :)
