Blue eye shadow step by step - Beautiful blue makeup

I looked at all my eye shadows and thought "it's been a long time since I had blue!" so it became a super blue make-up today :)

Really nice for brown lip pencil too, I put very thin with the pen in the middle of the lips so there was also a little ombre effect even though I only had one color.

Hope you also like the look!

My business week v. 7

This week has been a real computer job week!

I have had a few individual customers and worked a little at the reception, otherwise I have just sat at the computer and worked, worked, worked! In addition to a lot of hours in the photo studio, of course, but it would have been more unusual if it had not been so :)

Do not stop until you are satisfied
Before Valentine's Day, we have spruced up the salon with hearts, sweets, roses and balloons and also had a competition where you won gift cards for treatments that are great to give away in Valentine's Day gift! Either a "beard trim & brow pick" or an "Aroma leg and foot massage" :)

I then saw that we only had a few gift cards left, so instead I had to print my own. And since I would still print, I took the opportunity to put on some hearts in photoshop as well ♥

But then there was no photo paper so I printed on plain paper and let our two interns laminate the gift cards instead. However, when I saw the result, I thought that it was not so nice with laminated, so I kept looking and finally found small photo paper in postcard size that I could print on and it turned out so nice !!

The laminated gift cards really did not get ugly in any way and the time (and energy!) I put into making the perfect gift cards on postcard paper that I put in small nice gift bags may not have been financially defensible if you look at the hourly rate and value.

BUT I am convinced that this is exactly the quality of me - that I do not "settle" when something just feels ok, that it is one of the reasons why I will go far in my career. So despite this searching, editing in photoshop and messing with the technology before I got the postcard size out of the printer, I think all these dots over i-things will pay off in the long run :)

Here are the trainees laminating the gift cards that we then threw away haha! You should try not to do things unnecessarily, but sometimes you have to take that detour to get to the best solution.

Work on the way home
Miska and I have been a little bad at taking the bus at the beginning of the cold winter, but in recent weeks we have only taken the bus every single day, good! The bus takes about 15-20 minutes longer than a car, but I try to see it as positive because then I have more working time! When you sit in the car for only 30 minutes, you just have time to start before you arrive.

This is what I usually do on the bus:

  • Publish photos on Instagram, both my own and on Creative Makeup's
  • Work via the computer just like in the office
  • Scroll through various beauty accounts to update me with trends, news, etc. It is a very important part of our company but something you should never spend time on when working in the office.

Here I am, with the thermos mug with coffee in full swing and will publish a commercial on the semmel day this Tuesday :) It is a funny video about permanent makeup that we named "Can your makeup do this?" where Annika (who is completely unmade up, only permanent makeup tattoos) bakes rolls with her brother who sprays cream on her face and then when she has dried it off she is just as nicely made up as before haha!

Movies & work from home
Last Wednesday I worked from home and filmed a film about mineral foundation & powder for oily skin. Very fun to film again! It was a while ago.

However, it was a super long film to edit because there were a lot of reruns, I was really rusty in fact! But the movie of 1 hour and 12 minutes was finally cut to 6 minutes and I was happy with the result! So the whole day and evening was spent in front of the computer and iMovie. Got really tired of my own voice after that I can tell :)

You can see the whole movie and all my tips in this post if you missed it!

The only thing that made the haircut a little amusing was to see all the still images when talking, a lot of empathy here;)

My to-do list routine
One thing I love to hear others talk about is their list routines! What layout you have on your to-do list and how to use it. Am I the only one who finds it interesting?

I am picky about almanacs and the most important requirements are: 1. It should be large, no small pocket almanac. 2. It should be a page for each day 3. It should be a spiral book so that I have it lying with the right day up all the time and not having to close it. An ordinary book must lie as a spread or be completely closed.

Every day I write today's to-do list in the almanac! Everything from mini-things just so as not to forget them to larger things that take a very long time. But often I divide big things into several points, such as intermediate goals, because it is a small trigger for the brain every time you get ironed and feel that you are moving forward and are diligent :)

Every time I finish a thing, I cross out a line and make a check mark on the page. If for some reason I have not had time for one of the things, I iron without doing a check and I write that point the next day instead.

But of course I have more things to do that do not fit exactly that day and I write that in a to do list on the computer:

Here you can see the top part of the list which contains a little "lighter" points, further down are a little more secret bigger things that will be fixed closer to spring;)

I like the simplicity of the digital, that it is a checkbox box that is checked off and that you can easily change and delete text. But I also need a paper list that I have next to me all day so that I do not have to "bring it out" later as with a document on the computer.

Digital clears-Sunday
Now I will also spend Sunday in front of the computer, I take so many and so big pictures that the memory often becomes full. Right now I have full memory on the computer, in my dropbox and on the mobile. So have to delete mass and transfer to my external hard drive.

Feels like a waste of time, but it's a bad must and still perfectly Sunday! I'm going to sit and do technology with a cup of coffee and cuddle with my sick cat ♥

Have a nice Sunday everyone!

Creative eyeliner - White, purple & black makeup

This make-up is a typical "I do not know what to do for make-up, but take one color at a time and see what it becomes-make-up" :)

I knew I wanted the shadow on the lower lash line to go down a little in the outer corner of the eye, because I think you look so happy then, a bit like a laugh! And then it will be a very nice effect overall.

So I started with it, then I felt too purple, then in the end it turned out to be a very nice make-up in bronze and purple which I really enjoyed! Quite common as if the whole eyelinervinge area became a little extra creative :)

Hope you like the makeup too!

Foundation - gloMinerals Pressed Base Foundation (Honey fair)
Concealer -
Pixi Pat Away Concealing Base (1 Cream)
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Contour Creator
Powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder
Rouge - Blush (35)
Fixing Mist - Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

Brynpenna - Benecos Eyebrow Designer (Brunette)

Lip pencil - glo Skin Beauty Lip Pencil (Acorn)

I really like how the eyeliner was on the edge! A great effect when you blink without it being the worst "peacock make-up" or so :)

All earthy eye shadows are from Paese Opal Trio Eyeshadow (Caffe latte), the purple shades are from Paese Neo Eyeshadow.

  1. Eyeshadow primer, Pixi eye bright primer
Brown eyeshadow upwards and outwards in the outer corner of the eye, as two lines
  2. Light purple eye shadow over both lines
  3. Purple-pink eyeshadow at the end of the upper lash line, fading into the light purple line
  4. Brown eyeshadow along the upper lash line and up over the light purple line
  5. The same brown shadow at the end of the eyelid and along the globe line
  6. Black eyeshadow as eyeliner with wing that goes over the purple line, Paese cashmere eyeshadow (602)
  7. Light eye shadow on the entire eyelid and in the corner of the eye
  8. Black eyeliner longer upper fringe and as 3 lines at the purple lines
  9. Brown eyeshadow along the lower lash line
  10. White eye shadow in the corner of the eye and below the top purple line, Paese cashmere eyeshadow (601)
And a little to light purple shadow on the inside of the eyelid
  11. Black mascara on all eyelashes, Magnetic lash mascara

Video - Oil he? 5 tips for a natural base with mineral foundation & powder

Doing a basic makeup that is as exhausting as possible and at the same time becomes natural and durable is not the easiest thing if you do not know the tricks. You do not want a base that becomes shiny like a disco ball after a few hours, but neither does a base that becomes lifelessly dull, cakey and unnatural. I know the struggle!

What I think is the fastest and most debilitating of all is the classic mineral foundation and a debilitating powder. Both products absorb oil while not adding any cream / oil / silicone to the skin as liquid foundations do. It is also more fast-applied. However, many people are afraid of too much powder because they think it should emphasize lines, pores or generally look powdery and unnatural.

But it is possible to get a very nice, natural, debilitating and also sustainable result with mineral foundation and powder! :) It is not solely good products but also the application techniques that are important!

But to show exact application is difficult in picture + text, so here is a video that I filmed for you. In the video you see my whole routine from primer to powder baked in with my 5 best tips for a base that becomes 1. degrading 2. smooth, natural and nice on the skin and 3. durable!

The 5 tips I show in the video are:

1. More debilitating steps
Use multiple degrading layers, not just one degrading product. Then there are several absorbed steps that absorb the oil before it comes out and becomes shiny on the skin surface. In the film I apply primer - concealer - fixing mist - mineral foundation - fixing mist - powder.

2. Fill in pores
Face primer that is extra complementary for pores (+ mattifies the skin of course) makes the make-up smoother and even.

3. Thin layers!
Apply thin layers! If you apply thick make-up, the result will look cakey and it will not be as durable. Therefore, it is good to apply concealer before your foundation, then you do not need as much foundation, + to choose a mineral foundation with a lot of pigment. Then you do not need to put a lot of foundation to build up the coverage.

4. No mineral foundation under the eyes
For a more natural result under the eyes (for people with lines and wrinkles) you can put a creamy concealer there and then just a little mineral foundation or nothing at all. I dab on the foundation a little under the eyes to make the color blend in better.

5. Buffer in mineral foundation and powder!
Work every product properly into the skin! The primer is massaged in with the hands and I buffer both foundation and powder with Nanshy Buffed Base Brush which is a super smooth but very compact brush. It gives a smoother and natural result as it blends better in the skin, you get more powder without getting a very powdery surface (= more dullness) and it also lasts much better than when it lies like a shell on the outside of the skin.

Here is the result! Full coverage and matte, but not at all cakey or unnatural in any way.

Products I use in the video are all in my webshop Creativemakeup.se:
Blotting paper: glo Skin Beauty Blotting Paper
Brush: Nanshy Buffed Base Brush
Face primer: Pixi Flawless & Poreless Primer
Foundation: glo Skin Beauty Pressed Base Foundation (Honey Fair)
Fixing mist: Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist
Dehydrating powders: Paese Bamboo Silk Powder

And it is also sustainable! I who am so extremely oily need to powder on myself in the middle of the day anyway, but there is a huge difference between getting oily after 30 minutes and only powdering 1-2 times in a whole day :)

By the way, I will make a "matte skin during the day movie" soon too! Is there anything more about oily skin that you want to see in video format when I'm still on?

I also took a close-up where you can see the structure of the skin better.

Shout out if you have any questions!

Blue-green shadow as eyeliner with wing.
  2. Fade the shadow on the underside of the eyeliner
  3. Black eyeshadow on the top of the eyeliner, soot into the blue-green shade but paint sharper on the top, Paese cashmere eyeshadow (602)
  4. Light eye shadow in the corner of the eye and light gray eye shadow over the eyeliner.
  5. Black eyeliner in the upper edge, very thin, Paese liquid eyeliner
