Glossy lips with Plumberry - (Good Lip Gloss)

glo Skin Beauty (formerly gloMinerals) which I sell in my webshop has one lip-gloss in such a nice color that I dedicate an entire post to just that - and that's the shade Plumberry! :)

Plumberry is a purple-pink color and becomes high-gloss on the lips. It has a lot of pigment so either you can put on a proper layer for a lot of shine and color, or if you put thinner (or pieces off on a napkin) you get a creamy feeling with less shine and a milder tone but still a lot of color then it contains so much pigment. Both are great!

Formula
The lip gloss is creamy and nice on the lips, not at all in the sticky direction but has a smooth texture.

Fragrance
Has a scent of mint, it is quite discreet but feels fresh!

Ingredients
Contains antioxidants, sunflower oil, castor oil, vitamin E, aloe vera and camellia and the pigments come from pure minerals. If you use these lip glosses, you do not need lip balm because it also moisturizes dry lips.

sustainability
All cream and gloss products last shorter than e.g. a matte lipstick, but for a normal lip gloss, it stays on the lips for an unusually long time!

The lip gloss is available in more shades as well, Plumberry is relatively new in the range but Beloved has been my favorite for many years already when I went to high school! But the one that is the absolute best seller is Pink Blossom, a light tone with shimmer in it. All others are glossy but do not contain shimmer.

You can see all the lip gloss HERE!

Surely it's a nice color? :)

And as I said, you can put a thinner layer for a milder result, or you put on properly and bite off on a piece of paper and then it will be like this:

The fun thing about pigment-rich lip glosses is that you can vary them like this! :)

Have a nice day everyone ♥

Yellow eyeshadow details (Makeup tutorial)

After Mexico, I suddenly feel that I am eager to do spring make-up haha! At the beginning of January, I prepared all the work for February because I was going to have a holiday, so now that February has just started, it feels like it should be March.

In any case, I have to start sneaking in some spring colors and instead say that we need color to liven up the winter darkness! Certainly? :)

Not a colorful make-up as a whole but a little yellow shifts in the corner of the eye and in the fading over the globe line made the whole make-up I think ♥

Concealer - Pixi Pat Away Concealing Base (1 Cream)
Mineral Foundation -
gloMinerals Pressed Base Foundation (Honey medium)
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Contour Creator
Net matting powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder
Rouge - Blush (35)
Fixing Mist - Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

Brynpenna - Benecos Eyebrow Designer (Brunette)

Lip pencil (2 pcs) - glo Skin Beauty Lip Pencil (Pronto) in the edges and (Coral Crush) in the middle.

A cut crease that is not so sharp all the way but goes together softly with the fade in the outer edge. Very nice effect!

  1. Eyeshadow primer, Pixi eye bright primer
Light eye shadow on the inside of the eyelid, Paese Opal Eyeshadow Trio (Colorado)
  2. Brown eyeshadow with some moss green shifts in the middle of the eyelid, glo Skin Beauty Shadow Quad (Bon Voyage)
  3. Black eye shadow at the end of the eyelid and along the globe line, Paese cashmere eyeshadow (602)
  4. The same brown shade above the black and fade out
  5. Yellow eye shadow in the corner of the eye and in the fading in the globe line, Paese NEO Eyeshadow
  6. Black eyeliner with wing, Kryolan HD Cream Liner (Ebony)
  7. Black mascara on all lashes, Magnetic lash mascara

Clear!

If you, like me, have eyelids that are not very visible when you look straight ahead, this cat eye make-up has almost the same effect as a wide eyeliner with a wing, and then when you blink you see the whole cut crease creation :) Nice!

Hugs are!

My business week v. 6

This week there has been a lot of speed and fan!

In addition to a lot of work at the salon with staff meetings, admin jobs such as salaries, budget and metrics, planning marketing, etc., I have also been out and about a lot :)

Event with Disruptive Materials
On Wednesday, I was invited to Disruptive Materials, which celebrated the new year and new large premises together with its investors, customers and partners. It is thus the company that works with the new subject Upsalite. Very fun evening with various lectures and also activities and good food. It started at 4.30 pm and I did not go home until after 10 in the evening! :)

There were quite a lot of people so we were divided into groups and I was with a very mixed bunch of investors, a board member, two from the makeup company in China, and one who has worked a lot with L'Oréal and Oriflame and now Disruptive Materials helps with recruitment . It's not often you hang out with such mixed people, great fun! I felt so smart in the quizzes though haha.

Do you understand any of this? :) I was surprised myself when Miska saw this and I could retell a lot!

Here we got to know different particle sizes and talked about upsalites oil-absorbing properties!

This presentation started with a picture of myself haha! Gabriella said it at dinner before "everyone knows who you are here now because at my station we have a picture of you and I have told everyone that you are here at the party!" haha :) Everyone knows the monkey!

A molecule on a substance I do not really remember the name of, but it was all about being able to load upsalite with drugs as long as the molecules are not so large that they do not fit in the upsalite pores.

Upsalite pores simply mean that the upsalite particle is much like a sponge, lots of cavities in themselves. In the pharmaceutical part you use the pores to charge the particle with different substances, while in the cosmetics part you do the opposite - you use the pores to absorb unwanted substances such as oil, odors, moisture etc.

Another area of use and a product that will be launched in August is to use upsalite as talc when climbing! The big climbing company Black Diamond is already selling its own talc and now upsalite is coming as a premium product. You can either buy upsalite and have it as a first layer before dipping in talc, or you mix it with your talc and then dip your hands in the mixture. You can also buy a ready-mixed talc and upsalite mix :) Cool huh? In the picture you see a small sample.

Using pure upsalite instead of talc would also work well, but it would be a bit overly expensive.

We got to test this on their own climbing wall! :) I was quite fast and agile in the beginning but quickly got lactic acid and fear of heights and got stuck haha!

As a makeup artist, you can easily get away with a dress code!
A really good thing about being a makeup artist with such a creative profession is that I have it a little extra easy when it comes to events with a dress code :)

If you do not feel like dressing up but are going to such a dress code event, you can have basically any basic outfit and instead run on a real bang make-up!

If you do the opposite wants dress up and the dress code is not very fancy so everyone knows that it is "my profession to be good looking" so I can stand out in the crowd and have any outfit without anyone thinking it is weird haha :)

Here is the outfit for the Disruptive Materials event that had a dress code: Business casual

Glittery from head to toe! It is not so much visible on this fast mobile image but I glistened in the weekend, and also on the eyes :) Melted well among all stock market sharks, researchers and professors haha.

Schedule meetings and scheduled tasks one after the other!
I have lately been very good at planning my schedule, I do a lot of work where I set up my own time and then I want several hours in a row where I can focus on 100% and cave into what I am doing with, without being interrupted by other tasks.

On Thursday, however, I did not succeed with this and then my schedule looked like this:

  1. Meeting with the whole team (hug = constructive, fun, all employees) before opening.
  2. An hour of self-employment
  3. Two individual staff meetings (kiss = personal development interview)
  4. 30 minutes self-work between the above kiss meetings.
  5. Customer booking
  6. 15 min own job
  7. Meeting
  8. 20 min own job
  9. 3rd kiss meeting
  10. 15 min own job
  11. Customer booking
  12. Then I had time to work a little with my own work stuff before it was time to go home. I ate lunch at 17.15 haha.

If you add up all the gaps, then it is very much time to have time to do my own tasks between all the time-bound things, it was actually exactly on the minute 50% gaps and 50% time-bound. But I barely have time to sit down and start before it's time for the next thing.

So for all of you others who have the same problem - as much as possible, gather everything one after the other instead it helps so much! Now it was not possible to plan like that because I adapted to other people's schedules, but I would have been much more efficient if I had done all the meetings and customers in the morning and then had the whole afternoon for something else :) Big difference!

Press breakfast with Indy Beauty & Therese Lindgren
Last Friday I left home already at 06.30 and headed for Stockholm! Therese Lindgren launches her own beauty brand (19 Feb!) And I was invited to the press breakfast which was so extremely cozy! I rarely go to press breakfasts anymore, but since I still had a meeting afterwards, it suited me well.

I have met Therese at an event before and she is so heavenly go :) Have you seen that she started blogging too? Here can you find her blog! It's more to my liking! I'm not at all good at following people on Youtube and on instagram I follow so many that some end up in the shadows in the flow. I like the blog format!

I sat next to the most glorious Browfelicia and even had time to talk a little shit and entrepreneurship with Rebecka from Bexbeauty :) Really cozy!

The Therese brand focuses on skin care products that are vegan, cruelty free, natural ingredients and as low prices as possible to target a younger audience. It's not easy to find all the features and be on a budget level at the same time!

It was a very interesting presentation as the company's values were very similar to the values in my company! One of our focus areas is to promote that beauty is wellness, and we have even been eager to start some type of research in the field.

There is a part of the beauty world with demands and pressure that makes some people feel better about letting go of all that. But for many, taking care of their appearance contributes to their well-being. The only research that exists (as far as I know) is that the body secretes the hormone oxytocin, which is often called "happiness hormone" and "love hormone" when you lubricate yourself and take care of yourself. But it's also a lot about enjoying what you see in the mirror, a bit like smiling at yourself in the mirror so you can fool the brain that you are happy and you will be happy! If I look in the mirror and see a tired, dull and sour person, I do not immediately become more alert if you say so;) But even this moment for itself, with good scents and a little free time, is everyday luxury that contributes to feeling better!

Before the launch, Indy beauty had done lots of research and among other things, they found that 3 out of 4 people feel better on the inside when they take care of the outside. I find it interesting!

Sleep routines
I have written a lot about thoughts about sleep in my previous business posts, a bit scattered in various posts. Partly that I myself feel that I am sensitive to sleep and feel so extremely much better when I sleep well, even if I am stressed, I can handle it without major problems as long as I sleep properly.

At the same time as I often hear and read about career people who sleep very little and get up early, even though, in my opinion, they have gone to bed late.

But I have done some research on sleep and how important it is for the body, so I have decided to be more strict with my sleep and have this week started with new routines!

  1. I'm going to get up early, 5:30. I get up early but it can vary from 6 to 8 depending on how much studio work I do before the job at the salon.
  2. I will sleep for 8 hours = go to bed at 9.30 pm
  3. I will keep the above times also on the weekend, because otherwise I always go to bed on the weekend and then can not fall asleep until late on Sunday night. Which means I'm always tired at the beginning of the week.
  4. I'm not going to drink caffeine in the middle of the day. I drink in the morning and always have a thermos mug with coffee on the bus, mostly for a cozy factor :) and then I usually actually take 1-2 cups at work as well, but I will stop with that.
  5. I'm going to stop working in bed (which I do at the time of writing, oops). When I'm home, I do computer work in bed and "hang out" a lot in bed as well. I think it can be difficult for the brain to then switch to "I-have-gone-to-bed-mode", I would probably fall asleep more easily if the brain only associated the bed with sleep.

How has this been this week then? Actually very good! Last Wednesday I was in Uppsala and came home after 00, so then it cracked, then I got up at 7.30 the next morning as well. And on the weekend I got up at 7 instead of 5.30, but it is still so early that I could fall asleep in time in the evening. And one night I thought wrong with the clock and stressed to get all the work done and jump in bed, and once I lay down I realized that the clock was only 20.45 haha.

The work in bed, however, I have a hard time quitting, but it's mostly because we have it quite cold in the house this winter (must fire to get hot water and when you work so much you do not really get a routine on it) and in bed I have a heating mattress so it's so nice haha. I get better closer to spring :)

Otherwise, I think it's so nice with routines on sleep, I think I sleep deeper thanks to it because I usually sleep 8 hours otherwise too but I still feel more alert now!

But I love working in bed with a spinning cat that snuggles on its legs :) So we'll see how that part of the new sleep plan will go hehe.

Meeting with Disruptive Materials
The work week ended with a meeting with Disruptive Materials. I do not know how much I can reveal but now we are starting a little more for real with product development and I feel that this is really my area!

So I will be involved throughout the product development but it will not be a new company or so but as a consultant type, and I feel that this is my area! Always when I test new products, or when a product changes packaging or the like, I wish I had been involved and told before what would have done differently haha, and now I finally get it :)

Such processes take a very long time, not necessarily only the production of products, but there are a lot of rules, safety tests, etc. that must be carried out. This is about a completely new ingredient. But it will be a really cool and educational trip that I am really looking forward to!

A sneak peek from the meeting;)

Now Miska and I are going home to Dad and celebrating his 85th birthday! :)

Have a great Sunday everyone ♥

Sooted eyeliner with purple details (White & Purple makeup)

Today's step by step make-up is a great way to liven up the eyes with color without having a "full eyeshadow make-up". Make a smoky eyeliner and add some purple details, then it's done!

Concealer - Pixi Pat Away Concealing Base (1 Cream)
Mineral Foundation -
gloMinerals Pressed Base Foundation (Honey medium)
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Contour Creator
Net matting powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder
Rouge - Blush (35)
Fixing Mist - Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

Brynpenna - glo Skin beauty Micro Brow Liner (Blonde)

Lip pencil (2 pcs) - glo Skin Beauty Lip Pencil (Coral Crush) on the contours and (Soulmate) on the rest of the lips. Fade them into each other.

This make-up is not very difficult to do as it is quite smoky and soft, ie no sharp lines, which means that asymmetry is not as clear. In addition, you can easily just blur a little more if it becomes uneven or strange somewhere, it is much more difficult to correct any problems if you do a sharp make-up than if you do a soft and faded make-up.

  1. Eyeshadow primer on the entire eyelid, Pixi eye bright primer, and fix with powder.
Black eyeliner with wing, fade out on the top, Kryolan HD Cream Liner (Ebony)
  2. Light purple eye shadow in the corner of the eye, Paese Neo eyeshadow
  3. Purple-pink eyeshadow over the eyeliner wing and into about the middle of the eye, Paese Neo eyeshadow
  4. Silver-white eye shadow in the corner of the eye, between the light purple and the purple eye shadow and under the eyeliner wing, Paese opal eyeshadow (Ice queen)
  5. Black mascara on the upper lashes, Magnetic lash mascara

Clear!

I wore this make-up first at work and then at a corporate event and then I wanted to make the whole thing a little more party which went super fast with silver glitter in the middle of the eyelid (where I put some silver shadow) and also a little glitter in the corner of the eye. And then more purple also on the underside of the eye. It turned out great! Quick tips on how you can easily turn this make-up into a party party! :)

Hugs are!

Simple sweeping in brown and gold

I love doing super creative and colorful makeup, but one of the most fun things about blogging about makeup is getting to see makeup that many will actually recreate at home! That is, a little simpler make-up both in the design but also easy to wear up to all different occasions :)

Here is such a makeup that I think many of you will have use for. It is a very simple sweeping in brown and gold where I have applied the darkest at the bottom of the eyelid and then gradually lighter eye shadows upwards towards the globe line.

So instead of doing a soft sweep with just a dark brown shade that you get to blur, blur, blur, you instead change to a lighter color (I have used a total of 3 colors) and thus automatically create a soft, faded transition without having to work much at all with the makeup brushes.

Hope my step by step will be helpful!

Mineral Foundation - gloMinerals Pressed Base Foundation (Honey medium)
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Contour Creator
Net matting powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder
Rouge - Blush (35)

Brynpenna - Benecos Eyebrow Designer (Brunette)
Lip Gloss - glo Skin Beauty Lip Gloss (Plumberry)

All eye shadows are from the palette glo Skin Beauty Mixed Metals, they are the ones with a white dot that I have used in this make-up!

And here you see a swatch image of all the shadows in the palette :)

A make-up that emphasizes the eyes, but is at the same time so soft that it is suitable for both everyday and festive occasions.

An easy way to make it more festive is to paint more eyeliner and mascara, dark eyeliner along the lower waterline, more eye shadow on the underside of the eyes and / or supplement with a more prominent lip color e.g. red lipstick.

An easy way to make it more discreet and casual is to skip the eyeliner completely, apply less eye shadow (or nothing at all) on the underside of the eyes and / or choose a more neutral lip color.

  1. Eyeshadow primer, Pixi eye bright primer
Brown eye shadow at the bottom of the eyelid, applied with Nanshy Pencil brush
  2. Fade out the brown shade a bit with the same brush
  3. Warm, brown eye shadow over the dark, applied with Nanshy Pencil brush
  4. Golden eye shadow over the warm brown, applied with Nanshy tapered crease brush and then fade out with Nanshy Blending brush.
  5. Black eyeliner, Kryolan HD Cream Liner (Ebony)
  6. Dark brown shade also along the lower lash line, applied with Nanshy Pencil brush
  7. Light beige / gold eye shadow in the corner of the eye and on the inside of the outer corner of the eye, applied with Nanshy Pencil brush
White eye shadow right in the corner of the eye, applied with Nanshy Pencil brush
  8. Black mascara on the upper lashes, Magnetic Last Mascara

Clear!

Hope you liked the look! :) ♥
