Pink hair, pink eyes, pink lips

I have not been to the hairdresser again but just sat in a pink hair wrap and lots of silver shampoo, fun to be able to vary so! It lasted until I washed my hair next time and disappeared just about everything, which I think was good :)

Anyway, this make-up was inspired by my new pink tone in my hair and at the same time a tip on how you can easily vary / tone down a super bright eyeshadow by adding another shade.

Hope you like the makeup!

I bought the packaging from my hairdresser Monica Werner from Color and the shape and it was a tone that she mixed herself so do not know exactly which it is. But there is no brand that can be bought online in any case :)

My business week

When I think back on this week, I basically only see my to-do list in front of me haha.

As I wrote about mine last business week then there was full focus on our kickoff. This week, the focus has instead been on grabbing all the things that had to be put aside during the time I planned the kickoff day :)

One non-priority thing a day
When the schedule is full, there are a lot of things that are never checked by the to-do list because they are never urgent enough. Nääär will I have so little to do that my uncleaned drawers in the office or my full memory in iCloud is first on the prio list?

The answer to that question - it will never be a priority so you can just as well grab it at once;) The boxes I grabbed a long time ago but this with iCloud has caught up with me and now that my mobile basically became completely useless, it certainly became urgent in the end.

CHECK on that point I can at least say now! Like a stone that fell from my shoulders!

Today's lesson - A non-priority thing a day is good for tomorrow haha. As an entrepreneur, you have to be good at prioritizing, they say, but that does not necessarily mean that it is always the most urgent things that should be first on the prio list.

Salaries
New month for me means two things:
Kuul print out the reports and see how last month turned out!
2. Hjääälp what a very boring job that suddenly filled my to-do list!

And one of the boring things to do is pay. Oh, oh, there is something less inspiring than sitting down with everyone's hours, naps, holidays and company here and there. It is not difficult at all but very time consuming and so boring haha! We are a lot of people at the salon to keep an eye on now :)

But if I am to be a little open on the financial front, then my first 3 years with the company (when I was alone and working from home, almost immediately after the student) I did not take out a single penny in salary but lived only on saved money. And since we opened the salon 2 years ago, I have only taken out so that I can manage - which is very little as you become extremely good at living poor (but with good living conditions) when you have never had money;)

So something that makes salaries a little more fun now is that I have been able to start collecting salaries and suddenly my name is among all salary specifications! So you know how wonderful it feels? I'm definitely not money driven in life, but there is a limit to how long you can put your soul into something and just live on it being fun. Last year, I kind of did not have to pay tax because I ended up below that 18,000 kronor limit haha.

Work from home
I decided to work from home for two days and just graze on stuff. In addition to my constantly long to do list, I always have a lot to do at the end of each month, such as salaries, reports, invoices, statistics.

I love working at the salon but get so much done when I'm home. Avoid travel time to Uppsala and sit completely undisturbed from morning to evening. I get so extremely focused then and when Miska said he was going to a friend after work, I continued to work equally focused all evening. The brain is completely pie afterwards but the soul feels so good haha!

At the same time, I have got an outlet for my creative and social side as I had a lot of bookings when I was at the salon, which is great fun. Especially last Friday when almost all makeup artists were at the Skin & Cosmetics Fair 2017, so fun for them to do something inspiring and fun together, while I kept the positions in the salon :)

Quite simply a really good mix of brain and heart this week!

One of the things I have not had time for in a while is to cut together all the before and after pictures from treatments at the salon, which I have been sitting with a lot now. It's so much fun to show off on social media! Here is an example of a great makeover that my colleagues have done:

  1. Pick and color of eyebrows
  2. Permanent eyelash (lash lift) and lash color
  3. Lashliner (narrow eyeliner) permanent makeup / cosmetic tattoo

Here you see her transformation, before, after lashes and eyebrows and then after the eyeliner tattoo. How nice!

If you want to book an appointment with us, you can do so online on our website Creativemakeup.se :)

Hope your week has been as good as mine! Have a nice Sunday :)

Makeup customer from Malmö

This week I had a customer and blog reader from Malmö! She had errands in Stockholm and took the train to Uppsala just to come to me at Creative Makeup, do you understand how honoring it is? :)

First we did lash color and picked and dyed her eyebrows, it turned out so nice! And then she had also booked a make-up consultation incl. products. It costs SEK 895 and you get optional products for the entire sum! If you also want to book this, you can do it online at our website ♥

The result was great, she had a lot of redness on her face and had looked into gloMinerals Redness Relief Powder before :)

A natural base and enlarged eyes :)

 BASE:

Face primer - Pixi Flawless & poreless
Foundation - Pixi H2O Skintint (2 Nude)
Concealer - gloMinerals Under eye concealer (Golden)
Powders that remove redness - gloMinerals Redness Relief Powder
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Book of beauty contour creator
Rouge - gloMinerals Blush (Papaya)
Fixing mist - Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

Description:

  1. Primer throughout the face, it evens out the skin and fills in pores. I always use my fingers for a face primer as it should be worked into the skin properly.
  2. Apply foundation, this is a water-resistant gel foundation that fits great. Works to apply both with fingers or with e.g. a foundation brush so it sinks so well into the skin and does not need to be worked in.
  3. Concealer on pigment spots and under eyes, fix with powder.
  4. Powder that neutralizes redness on cheeks and nose.
  5. Contouring: Dark shadow in the deep parts of the face and on the sides of the nose. Then light in the middle of the face and on the cheekbones. Finish with the glow highlighter in the palette for more radiance in the skin.
  6. Rouge for more shape and life in the face. Here you can watch a video with tips and tricks!
  7. Spray fixing mist all over the face, it causes all products to blend into the skin and becomes a protective layer which gives longer durability.

EYEBROW:

Eyebrow pencil and brow gel - Pixi natural brow duo (Natural Brown)

Description:

I filled in the brows with a pencil that is shaped like a triangle and has a brow gel at the other end. I usually always start by filling in the underside of the brow and then I fill in by working in the direction of the straws. Finish with the gel.

EYES:

Eyeshadow Primer - Pixi eye bright primer
Eyeshadows - Paese Opal Eyeshadow (Colorado)
Light eyeliner along the waterline - gloMinerals Eye Pencil (Peach)
Eyeliner with wing– Kryolan HD Cream Liner (Ebony)
Mascara - Magnetic lash mascara

Description:

  1. Start with primer for a pigment-rich and lasting result.
  2. Put a little powder in the globe line to fix the primer (not on the whole eye) this makes it easier to get a soft eye makeup when you fade out the eye shadow.
  3. Light eyeshadow on the inside of the eye and in the corner of the eye. I apply all eye shadows on the eyelid with Nanshy Tapered Crease Brush.
  4. Medium light eye shadow on the rest of the eyelid
  5. Relax your forehead and look straight ahead in the mirror, place the dark shadow at the end of the eyelid and over the crease
  6. Fade the edges with Nanshy blending brush.
  7. Apply the shadows on the underside of the eye as well, in the same order as on the eyelid. "Tie together" the eye shadows in the outer corner of the eye. For this I use the smaller brush Nanshy Pencil brush.
  8. Make lashliner with a cream eyeliner. Here you can watch a video on how to do this.
  9. Light up the waterline with a light eyeliner
  10. Finish with mascara, we just put on the lashes for a more lifting effect on the eye.

LIPS:

Lipstick -  gloMinerals Suede Matte Crayon (Demure)

If you also want to book this, you can do it online at our website ♥
