How to do a nice cat eye make-up!

Hi Helena! I think that your make-up is so heavenly beautiful and I would like to get such a nice cat eye as you do sometimes. Preferably a make-up that is darker at the outer edges but quite light on the inside so that it does not get completely dark. Can you not show a tutorial on it and explain clearly with text how to do it? Would be so brutally appreciated! :) ”

Absolutely! I already have such a step-by-step make-up that I can show again and explain how to do and think :)

A more elongated shape is much more difficult to do than if you just follow the eye shape, because you do not have as many guidelines to follow as when you just follow your own globe line. But here's what I usually do:

cat-eye-tutorial

Use a narrow eyeshadow brush and mark how far out you want the cat eye shape to go and at what angle. A tip is to follow the lower lash line and continue in the same slope outwards, as far out as you end up at the same level as the highest point on the globe line.

2. Fill in the eyelid with as much eye shadow as you want, either the entire eyelid or just the outside as I have done to make room for a new color.

Place a skin-colored eyeshadow / highlighter or a transparent powder above the mold. This is done so that the primer is not as damp, then it is easier to fade the edges.

4. Use a small fluffy brush and fade the edges so that they are not as sharp.

5. Use a larger fluffy brush and fade out to make the edges even softer!

Here you see the guidelines I suggest in point 1 - to follow the lower lash line and continue in the same slope outwards, until you end up at the same level as the highest point on the globe line. This is absolutely no rule on what it should look like but just a tip!

Other tips to keep in mind:

The most important thing to keep in mind is to work carefully with the brush and not to blur too much, otherwise it can easily happen that you pull out the eye shadows too far or that it looks dirty. Be patient, be light on your hand and blur a little at a time!

You can do this with any color, but a matte, black eye shadow that I have used is the most difficult shade to get nice. Brighter colors and shimmery shadows are lighter. But if you feel that it will be too difficult, but still want black, then you can apply a little brown eye shadow in the edges as well, because brown is easier to fade out and get nice is black,

And when you have come this far, you can choose how you want to continue, but black eyeliner along the waterline + a sharp eyeliner with a wing, I think is super nice, then you really get that intense cat look :)

This is an old make-up as I said, I did it in January so it's almost a year ago :)

Eyeliner made by Amir

The other day I took before and after pictures of a lashliner up and down that Amir tattooed on a customer, and thought to show you before and after pictures of it because there are many who ask about pictures of his job :)

eyeliner-base-before-after

Nice huh?

There is a difference between eyeliner and lashliner and this is a lashliner (so just right in the scalp of the lashes) but it is a little wider up than down so you could call the upper one eyeliner base and the lower one lashliner if you are to be completely correct . What I want to come to is that the lashliner upstairs can be made narrower if you want it :) But if you make it wider it is called eyeliner, and the price rises a bit depending on how wide you make.

If you want to see all Amir's prices, you can check them out the website! You can read more info about Amir there too if you are curious.

If you have any questions, as usual, just shout! :)

Nivea Micellar Water review

A while ago I got a press sample on micellar water from Nivea which I have been testing for a while now and thought I would give you my review :)

What is micellar water?
Many people do not know much about what micellar water is, but I think it will change and become more and more popular very soon! There is quite a lot of research and technology around micellar water, but in short, it can be said that it is toner that works a bit like a magnet and absorbs dirt and impurities from the pores.

At the same time, it contains caring and moisturizing ingredients, so together it is an all-in-one product that both cleanses and moisturizes the skin.

It is also a makeup remover, I think it removes makeup well but it is not really possible to compare with a regular makeup remover, so I personally use it mainly as a toner. But maybe it depends on how much makeup you also have, I'm not known for using a little makeup if you say so;)

IMG_5401_111

This is how Nivea Sensitive 3-in-1 Micellar Clearing Water is described HERE:
“Cleans, removes make-up and moisturizes at the same time. Thanks to the innovative micellar technology, the product cleans gently but very efficiently ”

How to use micellar water?
Moisten a cotton ball and clean the face, it should not be rinsed off with water.

I usually use it both in the evening and in the morning. I have oily but at the same time very sensitive skin, so I should be a little careful with water as water is dehydrating, but must also clean the skin properly due to the oiliness. So in the evening I use it after I have washed off the makeup with makeup remover and water, as an extra cleanser, and in the morning I use it instead of cleanser, so only micellar water and then my usual day cream.

So I see it as a great complement to my daily skin care routine, but many who are a little more "sloppy" with their skin care than I am can see micellar water as a quick all-in-one product instead of another skin care routine, if do you understand what I mean? Since it both cleanses and moisturizes, this product is basically enough :)

What do I think of Nivea's micellar water?
I like Nivea Micellar Water, it smells almost nothing and feels very gentle on the skin. The skin feels moisturized without becoming sticky or oily, which is perfect if you want to start putting on make-up immediately afterwards.

However, I do not think it feels quite as effective as Paese micellar water that I otherwise use, because if I first wash off the makeup with regular cleaning and water, and then use micellar water from Paese, you can see from the white cotton that it will even more impurities from the pores as it looks a little dirty. But with Nivea's micellar water, the cotton is still completely white then, which means that it does not feel as effective.

But when I use the water from Nivea in the morning or in the middle of the day (if I have not put on make-up), you really see in the cotton that a lot of dirt has been absorbed, so it is absolutely not ineffective :)

It has received positive reviews HERE and now costs only SEK 60 there (ord. price is SEK 75) so it is absolutely affordable and it's not just me who likes it :)

Any of you who have tested this? What do you think? :)

A blast from the past

I have had a full house in the store today, I have ordered news from gloMinerals (which will be in the webshop soon as well!) Which has required a lot of refurnishing on the shelves. Much more time consuming than you can actually imagine :)

So I took the computer home to blog now on the evening twig instead, while Miska prepares dinner for us - char fillets with fresh autumn primroses as he so nicely called it. ”Primers, what is it? It sounds like a nicer word for babiesI said and got strange looks in the store hehe.

Anyway, what I want to come to is that I forgot the data charger in the salon, so I can not use my computer where I have all prepared blog material. But instead I offer a favorite in replay of a make-up I did in March and still like a lot! :)
