New straightener - GA.MA Starlight Platinum

I have started using a new straightener that I was going to show you now :)

In March, I received a press release from the healthcare brand GA.MA, their spring novelty Starlight Platinum is a straightener with ceramic plates and "instant heat technology" that heats up the tongs super fast.

I think it is super good! I have for exactly one year used their red straightener GA.MA IHT Tourmaline, which I still think is great, still works just as well! It has been discontinued now and will be replaced by this new Starlight Platinum pliers. Only small settings + looks separate them, so those of you who like it before (or read good reviews about it) will surely like this new one just as much. I myself do not notice any direct difference in the result.

GAMA Starlight Platinum available on e.g. Media market and costs SEK 899.

The brand GA.MA Italy Professional is an Italian brand, and the previous straightener (which is replaced by this one) has won "Professional Straightener of the Year" in Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain and Poland!

Properties I like:

♥ Long cord which is a must for me, gets so frustrated on short cords haha.
♥ Simple settings, +/- to increase and decrease the heat. And on / off button so you can turn it off even though the cord is in it.
♥ Rotating cable holder which is also super nice.
♥ Digital screen so you can see the temperatures clearly, the screen flashes while it is heating up and then when it stops flashing you know that it is up to the degrees that are.
♥ Warms up very quickly, takes about 30 seconds.
♥ Glides easily into the hair and gives a quick result!
♥ Heat setting between 160-230 degrees. I use 180. Preferably do not use over 200 degrees!
♥ The heat is evenly distributed over the plates, which gives an effective flattening from the scalp to the tops.

I can not comment on how good it is at curling the hair. For no matter how much I try, I do not get to that with straightener curls. After a little practice I have learned to attract others, it is super easy, but on my own, every 3rd cover looks good, the rest is completely straight. It always ends with a sweaty, irritated and often a little burnt Helena who gets to stand and straighten her hair instead haha. Becoming crazy :)

I think I'm bad because I can not relax my hands on myself, either I press too hard or I hold so loosely that the hair slides out. My hand muscles find no middle ground. My weak biceps are busy holding their arms up haha. Anyone who recognize themselves?

Rose gold & white makeup (Cutcrease)

I did not have time to publish yesterday's make-up yesterday, or had time and time, I had a stomach ache all day (probably have endometriosis) so I went to bed after 7 o'clock, heavenly nice :)

But here's yesterday's make - up which I was actually very, very happy with! Love these makeups that are very clear and fun, while not freaking out as well.

I got the inspiration from my rose gold TRIWA watch and my white nails, love white and gold, so heavenly nice!

You who live around Uppsala have not missed that I currently have a collaboration with Klockmaster in the Forum Gallery? You have a 20% discount on this watch (also applies to it in silver) if you enter "TRIWA Spring Campaign" at checkout. If not for yourself, it is also a perfect student gift! :)

Summer red nail polish

I have mentioned here in the blog before that Yves Rocher has now released his new nail polish series which comes in over 50 different shades. In addition to them, 10 nail polishes with gel effect are also launched, and now I thought I would show you one of the nice shades I got at their press breakfast in the spring :)

The shade is called 27 Rose Vif and is a clear red color that goes in the coral direction, so summery and nice!

It says Helena when we got personal goodie bags, so cute! So it will not be Helena on the nail polish that you buy;)

A layer is comprehensive, and I experienced that it dried quickly but I have to test a little more before I can give you a proper review.

The paint costs SEK 69 and is available for purchase Yvesrocher.se*!

Surely the color is super nice? :)

Eyebrow tattoo after healing

I know it's popular when I write about permanent makeup, and now I have started to help Creative Make Up a little with her pictures as Annika would rather have time for another customer than sit and paste with a thousand before and after pictures, so now when I have access to all the pictures, I can not help but show you her job a little now and then, hope it is appreciated? :)

Most pictures are only taken before and immediately after treatment, because when the tattoo has healed and the end result is good, the customer will not return. But I have bothered Annika a bit about pictures after healing as well, so now that a customer came for a return visit where it was only necessary to fill in one brow, she took the opportunity to take a post-healing picture on the other!

Here you can clearly see the difference between unattracted, what it looks like immediately after (sharp and darker than the end result) and then how natural and nice it is after healing.

Annika has developed her own method for tattooing eyebrows, and lays the strands in a way that a regular 3D tattoo does not. I will publish more pictures immediately after treatment so you can see more clearly how the straws are tattooed:

And this is what it looks like after healing then:

Löwengrip Care & Color 18 Hours Mascara

Now I have finally tested the mascara from LCC that I have been craving for a very long time, not mainly because it seems so heavenly good but mostly because I have heard such divided opinions about it. Then I always get so curious and want to see what I myself will think haha :)

Also read my great mascara post: Mascara Best in Test ⇒ Best Mascara (2021) ⇔ (Review)

And if I look at many of the eyelash pictures with it, it's not the type of mascara I really fall for, lashes that get so much volume that they almost look sticky if you know what I mean? But I have also seen many great eyelash pictures, which has made me even more test-hungry.

But now I have also tested it when I got a press sample of it a while ago - and I think it is GREAT in fact!

IMG_3912_111

A little difficult-to-foot text on the mascara when shooting with flash as you can see hehe. But I think the sleeve is very nice, matte black with shiny, golden text!

Brief review - A mascara that gives both length and volume while the lashes stay separated and nice. It has a great durability and is very easy to wash off (not waterproof) and is therefore great this summer!

♥ The durability is cruel, does not crumble and does not smudge how oily I am on the eyelid. The lashes are just as nice from morning to night.
♥ And despite such good durability, it is still very easy to wash off, I get rid of it with just water.
♥ The lashes get both nice length and volume without looking "too much".
♥ The lashes are nicely separated as well.
♥ Easy to apply, gives no lumps and you can work the lashes nicely if you, like me, do not have lashes that look good immediately.
♥ The brush fits both small and large eyes as it is very narrow in the front edge and very wide in the outer edge.

It is available for purchase at, among other places HERE for SEK 159, where you can also buy two pieces at the same time for SEK 289 (instead of the usual price for two pieces which is SEK 318). The mascara contains 14 ml, which is quite a lot compared to many other mascaras.

IMG_3924_111

As I said, the brush is very narrow at the top so you can easily access the lashes in the corner of the eye. I think that the brush gets a fair amount of mascara as well, I am "allergic" to mascara brushes that have too much mascara on them, which is quite common among volume mascaras. But this brush is great!

IMG_4657_111

Here you see my eyelashes, I have used eyelash curlers before. Fina va? :)

IMG_4660_111

IMG_4684_111

And this is what the lashes look like when I look straight ahead.

I can only give two thumbs up! And on Saturday I have a bridal make-up that was here for a test make-up last Friday, then there was a lot of make-up talk and she said that LCC's mascara is her favorite, so it was fun to hear when I was doing a review :)

It has been in the range for a while now, so several of you who read have probably had time to test it as well? What do you think of it? As I said, I have read divided opinions, some who think it gives for a lot of volume, but this is the case with all mascaras, they can give different results on different eyelashes. So it would be fun to know what you think!

Now I will refill the coffee cup and wait for the rain to take a break so I can go with the face painting bag to my sister who is so incredibly cute and will help me wash all the brushes I have used this weekend! It's so time consuming (and boring) and I have so much to do so she offered to help. Wonderful man :) ♥

Hope you get a good start to the new week !!
