I have started using a new straightener that I was going to show you now :)
In March, I received a press release from the healthcare brand GA.MA, their spring novelty Starlight Platinum is a straightener with ceramic plates and "instant heat technology" that heats up the tongs super fast.
I think it is super good! I have for exactly one year used their red straightener GA.MA IHT Tourmaline, which I still think is great, still works just as well! It has been discontinued now and will be replaced by this new Starlight Platinum pliers. Only small settings + looks separate them, so those of you who like it before (or read good reviews about it) will surely like this new one just as much. I myself do not notice any direct difference in the result.
GAMA Starlight Platinum available on e.g. Media market and costs SEK 899.
The brand GA.MA Italy Professional is an Italian brand, and the previous straightener (which is replaced by this one) has won "Professional Straightener of the Year" in Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain and Poland!
Properties I like:
♥ Long cord which is a must for me, gets so frustrated on short cords haha.
♥ Simple settings, +/- to increase and decrease the heat. And on / off button so you can turn it off even though the cord is in it.
♥ Rotating cable holder which is also super nice.
♥ Digital screen so you can see the temperatures clearly, the screen flashes while it is heating up and then when it stops flashing you know that it is up to the degrees that are.
♥ Warms up very quickly, takes about 30 seconds.
♥ Glides easily into the hair and gives a quick result!
♥ Heat setting between 160-230 degrees. I use 180. Preferably do not use over 200 degrees!
♥ The heat is evenly distributed over the plates, which gives an effective flattening from the scalp to the tops.
I can not comment on how good it is at curling the hair. For no matter how much I try, I do not get to that with straightener curls. After a little practice I have learned to attract others, it is super easy, but on my own, every 3rd cover looks good, the rest is completely straight. It always ends with a sweaty, irritated and often a little burnt Helena who gets to stand and straighten her hair instead haha. Becoming crazy :)
I think I'm bad because I can not relax my hands on myself, either I press too hard or I hold so loosely that the hair slides out. My hand muscles find no middle ground. My weak biceps are busy holding their arms up haha. Anyone who recognize themselves?
This is what the display looks like :)
Hug hug! ♥
