Beautiful eyes

Today's make-up is done but new Paese eye shadows that I have brought home to the webshop! There will soon be sooo many new nice colors that you will love :)

I have everything at home in stock already and will try put everything in tonight, but it's a lot of work. And tomorrow I'm working on a shoot in Uppsala so then there will be no time either. In other words, the shadows might come up today, and if not, I'll fix it early next week!

Now for the make-up:

Nice huh? A shimmery golden brown make-up that is suitable for both everyday and parties!

The lipstick is Paese Lipstick with argan oil in shade 37.

This is what the shadows I have used look like, Paese Kashmir Matte Eyeshadow in shade 604 and Paese Trio Eyeshadow in shade 111!

I have simply applied the shadows next to each other with the lightest inside, and then smeared a little on the outer edges with the matte brown to get a little more depth!

How quiet you have been with comments the last few days, I miss you! :)

Vegan Makeup Brushes - Nanshy Kabuki Brush!

I have sold a lot of different make-up brushes on Byher.se, and even though all I have sold / sold are great, they have not felt so cohesive with each other, very mixed sets, etc.

So I have been looking and looking for the perfect brand that has all! And after a lot of searching and a lot of testing among different brands, I have finally found the right one! So much fun! :)

The brand I am talking about is the English brand Nanshy which manufactures vegan makeup brushes in synthetic hair. They are smooth and soft as small clouds!

Many of you have requested a good kabuki brush (Yag minerals have been out of stock at the manufacturer for a very long time and will continue to be so for a while) so I started by bringing in just one from Nanshy :)

The rest of the brushes from Nanshy are on g soon. All their brushes are just as good!

Nanshy's kabuki brush is really wonderful! It is compact and absolutely wonderfully soft against the face, and works the make-up into the skin very well. Perfect for applying mineral foundation!

It costs SEK 149 HERE :)

Having a good kabuki brush for your mineral foundation is very important. My sister used one from the Une brand for quite some time when she started with Yag minerals foundation, and when she bought a new brush from me, she said "I was happy before but now it feels like a whole new foundation! What a difference!“There you see that it can differ a lot depending on the brush you use.

Two big thumbs up get this brush from me! ♥

Make-up before and after!

Yesterday I posted before and after pictures of Maja's eyebrows that I fixed at Creative Make Up on Thursday. She has an internship there and in order for her to learn as much as possible when I was there, I also made her up while I showed some tricks :)

It was interesting to realize how bad I am at explaining in reality haha. I am a good teacher in the blog (I hope?) But it is so much easier in writing where you can think through your formulations so that it is as simple and educational as possible! What is easy to show in reality is that you can point and ask the person to look in different directions and stuff, but my ability to speak is very chatty haha. Hope Maja got a little wiser anyway!

The sun looked ahead when we put on make-up so there are a few different lights in the pictures, but she turned out so nice:

The salon is located opposite Uppsala Concert & Congress, and you who know what that building looks like can guess how dazzled I was when the sun was reflected straight in haha! Like the world's largest mirror!

The most fun thing about putting on Maja's make-up was being able to give my own perspective on things, it's easy to end up in the same thought pattern if you have a teacher who says “like this ska it be"And"that is wrong"But that's really not me. But unfortunately, many teachers are like that.

I got many questions that in my opinion are about taste, e.g. "Which lipstick should you have for green eye shadow", but that is not about right and wrong but what effect you want. Then you have to ask yourself things like "should the lips or eyes have focus?" "Do I want contrasts or a more discreet balance on my face?" “What is the point of makeup, should the person feel looks good or is it a model that should fit into a particular theme? ” etc. At least that's how I work :) Then you need color theory to understand these different effects!

I got the feeling that her education had a "right and wrong focus", while most people used liquid foundations as an eye shadow primer and that hardly any of them used a real eye shadow primer, and that I think is disaster haha.

A teacher only teaches the basics and then you have to choose for yourself how you want to do it, most people probably agree. But I also think that you can stretch the basics a bit. For example. that you should have synthetic brushes for cream products and real hair for powder, I have found out that I do not want real hair on my brushes at all! There may be hair that comes from animals that feel good, but I do not even want to have to take the risk of using fur on the face that comes from an animal that is treated badly. There are soft and nice brushes made of synthetic that work great for powder products as well! But that's my opinion :)

purple makeup

Oh I want her lips !!! :)

In any case, I chose to do a purple make-up on her, to show how you can make beautiful lips if you are unsure of what color to wear. Because if you choose a shade that is quite similar to your own lip color, it will be natural and nice without either having to have noodle lips or a clear color such as pink or red.

If you choose a shade that is similar to your own lip color (often classic lip colors that look dull in the sleeve but look great on), you only need to decide if you want dark or light, glossy or matte!

All makeup I have used on Maja comes from GloMinerals :)

It would be a little fun and interesting to get some feedback on my thoughts in this post, both from individuals and makeup artists! ♥

Hug! :)

Face + brown without sun

I got home a tan without sun spray from Face + a while ago to test and review, and today I thought that now I should at least get some color for the weekend! :)

Briefly about the product:
Face + can be defined as the new generation of tan without sun products
· Face + Tintarella spray does not smell strange, does not smudge, does not stain and does not disappear after a few showers
· Face + gives the result immediately
· Face + was nominated and won "best tan without sun product 2014" by EXPRESSEN '

The downside of spray is that you need help if you want it more than on the front. Because even if you do not spray the whole body, you still want to wear décolleté, back and arms so that not only the face looks tanned. And it is difficult to spray the back on itself with a distance of 20-30 cm.

But I thought I would at least test from head to toe! I scrubbed away all the dead skin cells in the shower, crawled home to my sister, took lightly dressed pre-pictures and then she had to help me spray the buttocks!

But then, I'm terribly sorry but I can barely write a review because we did not get it at all… It was really hard to spray with I think! It has received many good reviews so I do not know how it could go so bad for us. If you sprayed a little, it became spotty and splashy, and if you sprayed more, it went crazy too much!

The shade itself looked great and it felt good on the skin, but it was so uneven that I panicked, jumped in the shower and scrubbed my whole body! Then we tested again and tried to stay further away, make round movements so that it would be a "soft spray cloud" but then no, it was a shower again. We tested until the bottle ran out and still did not get it!

I think the product is good if you have a little more finesse with the spray, I almost start to wonder if there was something wrong with my bottle. And it is positive that it is possible to scrub away if you realize that it will be crazy :) But I can say that I hope I do not have anything left in the skin that lies and grows for as uneven as I became, I absolutely do not want to wake up until tomorrow.

Any of you who have tested this? :)

Eyebrows before and after

Yesterday was a very fun working day at Creative Make Up! I am used to being completely alone at the salon, as Annika takes the opportunity to do permanent makeup in other places when I am still there and hold the positions. But yesterday both Annika and Maja were there! Maja goes to high school and has an internship for a few weeks, and studies the second year on a stylist line :)

When I had a gap I fixed Maja's eyebrows and told some tips and tricks, here is the result:

pluck eyebrows before after

With the right tools and technology, you can make well-shaped and marked eyebrows without them becoming too sharp and "painted". I picked and cut the eyebrows a little, and then filled in with an eyebrow pencil from GloMinerals (shade Brunette) which is available for purchase at the salon!

pluck-eyebrows-uppsala

Surely it turned out fine? :)

Speaking of Creative Make Up by the way, Annika had a customer yesterday who had tattooed eyeliner at another salon and was dissatisfied. She had read about Annika on my blog and traveled 50 miles (!) To get to Annika who saved her and made her eyeliner really nice :) "We have made a weekend of it" she said haha. This can happen if you go to the wrong person!

Annika showed a lot of pictures of dissatisfied customers from other salons that she has had to fix, I have to ask her for the pictures later and show you! Absolutely sick what ugly tattoos some come in with! Taste is one thing, but to some extent it must actually be, I was in shock of all the ugly shapes and giant asymmetry errors haha.

Do you want to be on the safe side - book Annika at once! :)

Hug! ♥
