Valentine's day make-up

Soon it's Valentine's Day, I think it's so cozy! Especially that it's a Saturday so you can come up with something too :) Are you going to do something special?

Today I have therefore made a Valentine's day-inspired make-up for you! What I love about Valentine's Day make-up / romantic make-up / date make-up, you get the point, is to analyze a lot about the situation :)

Details I like in such a make-up are therefore:
* Flirty eyelashes with a nice length
* Natural but "spotless" base with nice luster and rosy cheeks
* A bright eye makeup that lifts and highlights the look
* Bright lips and nails with a discreet color
* And the most important point - A color click somewhere on the top of the eye that is most visible when blinking

Together, this becomes a make-up that highlights your fine features without changing, so you are still yourself but still "a little extra". And in addition, the eyes become very interesting to look at when there is a glimpse of a discreet color click when you blink. Wonderfully!

Here is my interpretation of this! Fint va?

Also offers a step-by-step description:

1. Light pink eye shadow on the eyelid.
2. Brown eye shadow at the end of the lower lash line, at the end of the eyelid and along the globe line.
3. Fade the edges.
4. Black eyeliner with wing.
White eye shadow in the corner of the eye and under the brow.
5. Green eyeliner thin above the black, and finish with volumemascara on the lashes!

And you know what? I have completely used makeup that I have received from Oriflame to do this makeup, and for the sake of simplicity have photographed everything I have used! :)

You will find all the products I have used here!

This base gives a comprehensive result that lasts a long time and thanks to these "blushing pearls" the skin gets a super nice glow and color! I have not only used it on the cheeks but a little on the forehead and chin as well.

Foundation - The ONE EverLasting Foundation (Natural Beige)
Concealer - Giordani Gold Age Defying Concealer (Ivory Beige)
Powder - The ONE Illuskin Powder (Light)
Rouge / lyster - Giordani Gold Baroque Blushing Pearls

The eyeshadows I have used are Pure Color Mono Eye Shadow in the shades Shimmering white, Pink shimmer and Earthy brown!

And to get that little extra too, I have finished with these products:

Black eyeliner - The ONE Eye Liner Stylo
Green eyeliner - Very Me Clickit Eyeliner (Green)
Mascara - The ONE Eyes Wide Open Mascara - Black
Lip-gloss - The ONE Power Shine Lip Gloss (Soft Coral)
Nail polish - The ONE Long Wear Nail Polish (Ballerina Rose)

And as I said, click here then I have a list of all the products I have used in the make-up, so you can buy the whole look! :)

I now realized that I managed to choose images where the eyelashes are not so visible, because I focused on angles where the eyeliner is visible, but I can say that the mascara gives a lot of length and volume! It's Oriflame's new Eyes Wide Open mascara! Will show it in a separate post soon, it is great for you who like a lot of lashes :)

Do not forget that the most important thing is that you should feel look good, choose colors and make-up details that you yourself enjoy and do not forget a big smile :) ♥

Rosacea & Dr. Hauschka Foundation

I have had two "test rabbits", Malin and Frida, who have tested Dr. Hauschkas new foundation that I sell on Byher.se!

Rosacea is very common here in Sweden, and therefore I wanted to find out how this foundation goes together with rosacea because I get many questions about it. I have received several positive reviews for Yag mineral from people with rosacea! Malin has quite rough rosacea while Frida has milder but is drier in the face, and they were cute and tested this and now I just got their reviews :)

Malin:
♥ The color was absolutely perfect for my fair skin.
♥ It was very good and easy to get nice with just your fingers. Tried once without concealer to see what the coverage was like. To my surprise, it was better than my mineral powder foundation!
♥ It was easy to apply a little more of the places where I wanted it.
♥ It sat very well without primer and even better with of course.
♥ I have a little dry skin and then it becomes light crocodile skin when I put on make-up. Especially when my rosacea has a flare-up and I have to use my medicated creams. They dry out and then it is usually boring to try to put on make-up.
♥ Then if I could stand it. I did. I have tested it three days in a row. On half the face so that would be enough for three tests. Because sometimes the rash and redness come after a day. But no deterioration yet! :)

So I am really happy and it would be a good complement to my powder foundation.

Frida (Malin who wrote):
♥ She tested for two days. She has milder rosacea. She tolerated it too and the color was perfect!
♥ She is much drier in the skin than me and has had problems getting the skin nice when applying make-up.
She has tested other liquid mineral foundations but she has either not tolerated them or has not received any good coverage. This one was great on her and she even thought that in everyday life when she is at her best in her rosacea, she can do without concealer. Suitable for a single mother well :)
The only thing she thought was a little worse was the smell. But that was just right when applied. Then it disappeared.

Here is before and after on my skin! There is sample bags at Byher.se for SEK 5 + a swatch with the shades next to each other so you can compare. If you are unsure before buying one large foundation :)

Malin ended with the sentence:
“So you can safely recommend them with rosacea to test this product. Everyone is different, of course, but there is a good chance that more people with rosacea can tolerate it. ”

Thank you very much for your help Malin and Frida, hope it is appreciated by my readers too! :)

Hope you all have a great Thursday! ♥

Everyday make-up - Copper

I have long used and liked Yves Rocher's waterproof eyeliner, they are available in great colors and last well along the waterline!

The only one I have not tested, until now, is the shade 06.Cuivre (I wrote and just saw that they actually have a new shade of gray as well, I have not tested it either!). 06.Cuivre is an incredibly nice copper color that I was going to show you in a make-up now :)

I have very easily applied it along the waterline and both the upper and lower lash line, and blurred the edges a bit with a small makeup brush. Mascara and highlighter in the corner of the eye on it then you are ready!

The mascara is Paese Adore D3 Lash Mascara, and the highlighter is Annika's Favorite Shadow.

I find that this shade does not adhere to the waterline as easily as the other colors (but on normal skin it glides on super easily!) maybe it's because it has a different texture because it's a little more metallic, I do not know. But once you have got it there, it fits well, although you have to apply one layer, wait a while, add another and then after a while apply a third layer. Then it turned out great!

Lip-gloss, Benecos Natural Lip Gloss (Rose Garden)

Now I will continue with the job here at Creative Make Up, Thursday today!

Hugs are:) ♥

Lumene Matt Control Oil-Free Foundation

Lumene has just launched a brand new foundation - Lumene Matt Control Oil-Free Foundation!

I can find it nowhere online, but it should be in store now and costs SEK 149 on e.g. Kicks and Åhléns.

The foundation is adapted for oily and mixed skin, and I feel like a very suitable test doll as this fits me extremely well, Helena fluffy-as-a-pizza Rönnblad :)

I like that the packaging is a soft tube so you can easily push out the last!

It is available in five shades, from light to medium dark. I have received these as a press sample, and have received the three lightest shades. I use the shade 01 Classic Beige!

And what do I think then? I have a bit of a hard time deciding actually, and instead of giving two thumbs up, I probably have to give one thumbs up and one thumbs down. The reason is that I do not think it suits me to 100%, but I can imagine that many of you will like it!

♥ First impression was wow! It is very, very expensive and you do not need much at all, it covers well and is easily applied to the skin.

If you apply a thin layer, it evens out everything red-flaming, the skin tone becomes even and fine and the pores are not very visible either. It "slips off" a bit from the pimples, but it's easy to dab a little extra on them without it getting cakey. In other words, you can build up a very comprehensive base without the result being uneven.

IMG_1906_11

x Unfortunately, in the end I thought that the result was a bit too much like a mask, full coverage in all glory, but I thought I looked very lifeless in the face and absolutely no glow. The first time I thought it was because I used quite a lot of it, but I have tested it several times and think I get the same result even when I use a thin layer.

In addition, I am not super happy with the dullness, the skin absolutely stays dull for a long time compared to many other liquid foundatons, but for me mineral foundation works much better.

The biggest difference I would say is that with other liquid foundations I get oily quickly (after about 1 hour) and in the end it becomes extreme, and with this I get oily just as fast, but it does not get as much at the end of the day. But with mineral foundation, it both takes longer before I get oily, and besides, I do not get equal oily either! Maybe because a mineral foundation also has a little absorption capacity?

But otherwise the durability is good, it does not get cakey or similar even though I get oily.

IMG_1913_1111

This is what the result looked like after powder (Lumenes loose powder), shading, blush and eyebrows!

Summary - For those of you who are not quite as oily as I am, I think this works better than what it did for me. And besides, I know that many people thrive in a more comprehensive base and do not bother with the "mask feeling" as I describe it. So you who feel met on those points know that this can be a foundation for you :)

Hug! ♥

Answers to questions about basic makeup

Sandra sa…
"Hello! I have a bit of a hard time figuring out the order in which to apply eye shadow. We say I use, primer, powder foundation, eye shadow. I apply primer first all over the face even on the eyelids. Then I take my powder foundation in the eyelid as well and then on that I take eye shadow, is this wrong? Shouldn't you take your base in the eyelid? And if you use eye shadow primer, should you apply it on your regular primer or should you not have your regular primer on the eyelid? Then I also wonder if you can mix liquid and powder stuff. Type, can I have liquid concealer but powder foundation? Or will it look completely crazy? And if so, do you take the concealer first and powder over or vice versa? Feeling completely lost! Sorry for such a heavenly long question! But would really appreciate if you had time to answer this :( ”

1. In what order should you apply all the basic make-up?
You write the correct order, start with face primer, then apply your foundation, then use eye shadow primer and finally eye shadow. Concealer is applied before powder foundation if it is liquid, and before or after whether it is a powder concealer. It's a matter of taste! I can describe in more detail about concealer further down in the post :)

2. Should you have face primer and foundation on your eyes?
It is not important to have the face primer on the eyelids if you will also apply an eyeshadow primer, but it does not hurt. I usually apply the face primer on the eyelids also because I am oily and use a mattifying primer, and the eyelid becomes as oily as the T-zone.

But foundation is good to always wear on the eyelids, because the thin skin on the eyelids has small visible blood vessels that are often a little in the blue or red direction. It is good to cover it because otherwise the eye shadow color can be affected by it and then the eye shadow will not be quite the same color as in the jar!

However, you should not use face primer as eye shadow primer, because they are two completely different products with different properties. Wear one for the face and one for the eyes.

3. Should you have concealer before or after foundation?
I always try to apply a concealer after foundation if possible, because then you see how much you need and how much is covered by just foundation. And then there is no risk of wasting concealer and covering mass unnecessarily.

An exception is concealers that cover by neutralizing, such as a green concealer, I always apply this before foundation so that you get the right skin color at the end.

However, there are concealers that are not so easy to apply after foundation, e.g. if you have a liquid concealer and a dry foundation. Or very thick and "thick" concealers, one after foundation can "pull off" the foundation underneath because it is quite hard to apply.

I usually think in this order depending on what kind of products you have:
Mineral Foundation - Mineral Concealer
Liquid Concealer - Mineral Foundation
More cream concealer - Mineral foundation
Liquid foundation - Mineral concealer
Liquid foundation - Liquid concealer
Slightly cream concealer - Liquid foundation

concealertips

This is what I do but my mineral concealers, I start with green concealer, apply foundation and finish with an enlightening concealer!

4. Can you mix liquid products with powder products?
I would say that it almost always works to mix cream products with powder products, if you apply the creamy product first and the powdery last. However, there are some few concealers that are very sticky in consistency that do not become as even during a powder foundation because more foundation sticks where you have concealer. But it works with most people! Let the cream dry for a while before you just apply the powder.

Hope you understood everything and that my tips were helpful! :) ♥
