Deep cleansing face mask

I love face masks where you feel in the skin that something is happening, such a feeling that can not be described in words properly, you just feel that the skin works in some way, it kind of tingles a little :)

One such face mask is Murad Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask that I got home in a goodie bag a while ago. It both peels the skin and moisturizes it, which is perfect for both dry and oily skin!

The mask is a transparent gel that smells wonderfully good and fruity, and it is precisely fruit enzymes in the mask that help to exfoliate the skin. It removes dead skin cells and impurities and cleanses deeply!

I have used the mask a few times now and as I said it is really nice to use. You have it for about 10-15 minutes, I usually have it until I feel that the skin no longer "works", and then you rinse it off with water.

The skin is very smooth afterwards, and above all so feels the pure which I love! Everyone needs moisture, but I who have both oily and sensitive skin usually vary with both deep cleansing face masks and very moisturizing. And this is definitely a good cleaning.

In terms of appearance, I do not notice any difference on the skin, I do not see that the pores look cleaner for example, but I really feel that the skin becomes clean! Squeaky clean as Grandma usually says, you know when it squeaks on the skin when you pull your finger on it? :)

What I do not like, however, is the packaging. It's like sample bags, which is just messy in the long run!

In addition, a package is probably enough for 2-3 times, and IF you manage to save it but are not completely careful about plastering it, then the mask will both dry and grow bacteria. But I would not even think about saving and fussing so, I throw expensive face mask after each use instead. Incredible pity!

I got the goodie bag at an event with The You Way, but I do not find the mask on their webshop strangely enough, but Eleven.se sells it (though not the same packaging, they have probably changed their appearance, because it is called exactly the same) and there, a box with 6 treatments costs SEK 345!

In other words - A luxurious and good face mask that I could have put the expensive money on, if the packaging had not been so lousy.

New Year's make-up

There have been many simple make-ups here in the blog lately, so simple that it feels unnecessary to show step by step as well. Hope you appreciate such makeup too!

The reason is probably all my new eyeshadows that I like so much, and when I want to show a new eyeshadow, it almost feels a bit like "destroying" it by mixing in a lot of other eyeshadows as well. If you have a nice shade that you like, then it does the job for you and you can spend your time and energy on other details such as the base, eyebrow lips, hairstyle, etc :)

Today's make-up is just such a make-up, where I just wanted to use an eye shadow + shimmer in the corner of the eye. It was a perfect New Year's make-up for you who like smoky eyes but who do not like to be completely black around the eyes!

This eyeshadow is black but so metallic that it becomes more gray-black (it depends a bit on which light you are in as well) and it is also easier to fade out a matte all-black eyeshadow.

Hope you like the look :)

Clean the makeup brushes

When I posted pictures from my make-up job on Creative Zone where I did 11 model make-ups, I got some questions about my work make-up, if I use my own, etc. I mostly make up myself during the day so I understand that you are wondering :)

But after answering this, I realized that I have to tell you about a good cleaning for the makeup brushes that I got home as a press test a while ago! It is nice for everyone to have at home, but can also be a saver in need for those of you who do makeup work only now and then and may not have a super large set of makeup brushes.

For one of the most important details when it comes to makeup hygiene is to keep track of the makeup brushes, which can sometimes be difficult when you do so many make-ups in a row. All of a sudden you are standing there and need a lip brush when everyone is already used. Then it should be quick to clean, and you should also be completely sure that all bacteria disappear.

I now use the cleaning ”Laura Mercier Brush Cleanser”Which works both for basic cleaning of the brushes when the day is over, and for quick cleaning as it effectively dissolves make-up and kills bacteria!

It works both on brushes with real hair and with synthetic hair.

When I do a quick cleaning, I spray abundantly on the brush and wipe off the makeup with a napkin, I do this until I feel that the brush is completely clean (it is usually enough with 2 times but it depends a bit on what you have used the brush for). And when the brush is clean, I usually press a dry napkin around the straws so that the liquid is absorbed and remains a dry brush!

For large fluffy brushes, however, I only recommend a bactericidal spray, a cleaning will probably be too wet so that the brushes continue to be damp.

Blowpro Faux Dry Shampoo

I have heard very well about dry shampoo ”Blowpro Faux Dry Shampoo”And has both pluses and minuses to say about it actually!

Most dry shampoos are in spray form, but this is a mixture between spray and "Dust It", you could say, you spray by pressing in the middle of the bottle and "puffing up" powder, which thus has no kind of liquid or propellant.

It should give a freshly washed feeling and volume, and costs about 125 kronor.

I like the principle with the bottle, that you do not have to pay for any kind of liquid or gas, but get what you pay for - that is, the powder. In addition, many spray bottles can have more gas than powder (or how it now works in there) so you think you have dry shampoo left but there will only be spray and no powder. But with this bottle, you know exactly when it is about to run out and not.

I also like that it is fragrance-free, everything today has added scents that you mix anyway, so it is nice to have at least one product that does not smell. In addition, many dry shampoos have a tendency to have a strong scent that many do not like, but you can avoid this!

It gives a freshly washed feeling (and appearance of course) that is not felt at all in the hair, perfect for you who do not like the harsh feeling that many dry shampoos give!

I also think that the hair stays dull longer than with dry shampoo with regular spray, and I think it is because you get more powder at once with this than when you use spray.

It is quick to get very, very oily hair to become completely matte, without having to stand and spray the world's largest gas cloud for an eternity as with a regular spray.

It lasts super long! I have always wanted to buy type XXXL size on my dry shampoo bottles because they run out all the time when you have as oily hair as I have. I always feel I have to be stingy. But this has lasted for any length of time.

x For me, it took a while to get the cuts in with the bottle. At first I thought it was difficult to distribute evenly throughout the hair and that you do not really know where to "spray". And then you have to shake the bottle after almost every puff for powder to come. And then I had trouble not getting powder on my clothes because powder came out when I shook. But now I think the packaging is really good! The only thing that is still a small minus is that you have to shake it often but otherwise it works just fine.

x My hair did not get as much volume as I had hoped for, that detail can be a plus for many who do not want a lot of volume, but for me it will be a minus as it says volume-giving in the product description.

x It is positive that there is a lot of powder at once (as I wrote in the good points above) but it also results in that after a few days you have a lot of powder in the hair and it is very irritating to my scalp. Do not know if there is any powder you can have such a large amount of on the scalp without it irritating (?) Because it can depend on the amount and not the ingredients, I think. But it's a small problem anyway. I have very sensitive scalp for dry shampoo should be added, there are few (but not many) that I can use without itching after 2-3 days.

x It would be good if it was available in more colors, I have a fairly dark scalp now and it can be massaged in so that it becomes invisible, but after a few days the hair can look a little grayish and if you are darker than me, I think the white the shade can interfere.

What I like about the cork is that you close it by turning, perfect for me who always neglects all corks!

I wonder if the person who made the pictures for the description on the bottle and the person who wrote the text did not really talk to each other haha. Because I think that picture 1 means that you should shake the bottle, because you have to, but it only says that you should keep the bottle upright, which is so logical that you would not have to write it;)

In other words, I recommend this dry shampoo for you who want an airy and freshly washed feeling with a little volume, and as I said, it suits all hair colors.

And for those of you who have very oily hair and also want more volume (like me) you should skip this, because it takes too long with this puff bottle if you have a lot of oil to remove, and I also want more volume !

Hugs are :)

Golden Khaki

Today's make-up is very simple, but I wanted to show you how nice IsaDora's golden metallic pencil is in the corner of her eye!

Pennan, IsaDora Twist Up Metallic Eye Pen 44 Golden Khaki, is a very light gold color that gives a metallic and slightly glittery result. Great for both smoky eyes and an everyday make-up like this:

My matte, dark pink lips are Golden Rose Velvet Matte Lipstick in shade 11.

The basic make-up is made with airbrush and products from the airbrush brand Temptu!
