My business week v.2

Yesterday around 9 pm Swedish time we landed in Mexico and then it was only 2 o'clock on the day here, you love the time difference when you travel a whole day but still do not miss the whole first day of the holiday! :)

Now we chill in the heat and the week that has been feels very far away. It feels like no one in the whole world has had such a long to do list as I have had haha. I really worked the iron to be able to be gone for 2 weeks!

But do you know what? I feel so sick good! Almost a bit laboriously good, this is the level my bar must be at in order for me to be happy as well haha. But I already feel that it would have been unsustainable in the long run, the body says, but it was fun for a week! :)

Leave as an entrepreneur
A common quote is that you should build a life you do not need a holiday from and I have really done that. There are so many who love Fridays because "it's a weekend soon" and then they hate Sundays because "it's soon to be Monday". Many people live so much in the future instead of the present so they do not enjoy when the future they longed for will come.

I need this holiday for it to be so extremely fun and wonderful, not because I need to escape from my everyday life :)

Then it's a little harder as an entrepreneur to be free because you have to catch up with everything before, but I still think it's worth it actually!

The coffee cup has been my best friend on the morning twig hehe. I have worked until 00 at night and got up between 5 and 6 in the morning to work in the photo studio before work. I always do otherwise too but not as many hours as now when I would do blog material for 2 weeks of blogging;)

And I who bothered so much about that sleep is so important to me and that I need my 8 hours haha, but I notice a difference already after a week in this way actually. I say the wrong word like "black" instead of "plastic" I said one day, dreaming lots of stress dreams, forgetting what I'm doing in the middle of a sentence, etc. I'm not made to simply neglect sleep.

Mass production of blog posts
This with making a 2-week plan for the blog posts and a deadline for when it will be ready may not be so stupid, I think the phase I have made more and better blog posts for these holidays than I usually have haha!

On Sundays I will blog about my business week á la Mexico but all other posts will be timed. So there are 13 beauty posts in total. There will be a lot of product reviews, which I do not usually do as often, but I hope you like it too?

Learning by doing
This week I set up a structure for how the ordering routines should go at the salon. It is not only sales products that are ordered regularly but also consumption such as eyebrow dyes, receipt rolls, bags, hand soap, coffee for the waiting room, detergent and a thousand things!

Now we have made it so that Ida is the one who will carry out all orders, and the rest have an area they should keep a close eye on and know how much there should be in stock of each item and order in time before things run out. Then they can easily report to Ida when she should place orders.

This little project has actually been instructive for me! I have a tendency to do things so carefully that I spend a lot (!) Of time on things that are not used to the extent that it is worth that time. In this case, it was that I started writing down documents and forms for everything that is ordered and how much should be in stock of each product and all the small comments about each thing that are important to know. So that everything can be read in advance and there is no risk that things will go wrong.

Great idea but in practice I realized that it was more time consuming than I thought and that it is completely pointless for me to make the worst manual book for something that people will learn by heart quickly and then when the next person has to learn we have for sure changed so much in that manual that nothing is true anyway.

So you know what I did? I deleted everything I had written haha, then I wrote down the most important and we run learning by doing instead! When we are away, they have the task of testing the order for the first time (but do not send it away) to get the routines in and write up any. issues and improvements. Then when it needs to be ordered for real, Miska will be there for the first time, and after that they will have to continue themselves, but that we approve everything before it is sent away.

In the end, there were some simple documents with a description of the layout and how we start, then we have to take everything step by step and day by day! :) Pjuh!

A welcome-home document to myself
I have also made a document called "Welcome home!" to that I come back to the office again, with all the to-do things that I have not prioritized before the trip but will remember when I return. You can be a bit tough after a holiday and jet lag so I thought I should be prepared and help myself a little;)

Mixed week!
Otherwise, it has been a mixed week with all the usual work that is always done, some new projects with ordering routines, we are ordering some new signs to be designed, we have presented all new metrics and the strategic focus for the staff and counted on a billion numbers before I was completely finished, I have had a lot of customer bookings also including regulars who read in the blog that I am going on vacation who took the opportunity to book before.

The luxury of owning your own beauty salon
Sometimes you forget how good you are, like when you go to Mexico and go outside the office door and lie down and fix your lashes without booking an appointment or paying for yourself haha.

Here I was kind of newly tattooed with the highlighter outside the lip contour, therefore I have a pretty light, sharp edge around the lips in the picture :)

All make-up for 2 weeks ahead is now prepared at home before the holiday and this make-up was the first make-up I did after we booked the trip. I put on make-up with Spanish music popping in the speakers and so heavenly happy - and I think it shows in the result :)

Now we're flying to Mexico, wiiiie !! So peppered !!

I first put the gray lipstick on the whole lips and then the dark pink over it which became a nice color no matter what! The dark pink lipstick is not so dark purple at all, but the gray underneath.

I love how the top and bottom of the eye makeup are completely different :)

The hair color is not freshly dyed again but I sprayed in L'Oréal Paris Colorista Spray Turquoise Temporary Hair Color which I got a press sample of before. So it is only paint spray that only lasts until you wash it out. It turned out really nice but jisses what it colored off!

But the turquoise hair and the dark purple, matte lips made the whole look for this eye makeup, I felt super cool and super cute at the same time type :)

Now I will sit on an airplane for 12 hours, have never traveled so far in my entire life, 2 hours time difference max. But the waiting time itself should probably go as well as possible, last trip we sat at Arlanda for 17 hours due to delays and then + 3.5 hours for the actual flight after that, so 12 hours is nothing for us;)

Beauty preparations for a sun holiday

I am such a person who likes to get ready before the party is almost as fun as the party itself haha. To do a party make-up, fix your hair, pop music, put on nice clothes and all that! The very best is when you are free for a whole day and are going to a party in the evening (it never happens, hehe) because then you can start with a bath, scrub, shave your legs and have a whole spa day with manicure and stuff before slowly entering party mode closer to the evening :)

I feel the same principle now when we go on a sun holiday haha! We leave early tomorrow and I have really enjoyed my beauty preparations before and thought of sharing my beauty to-do list before the trip!

An unmade-up Helena! And completely awake too in fact, photographed this before 6 o'clock in the morning and had a hard time keeping my eyes open in front of the bright studio lights haha.

A little dry around the lips just as you might see (?) But that's because I tattooed highlighter outside the lip contours last Monday haha, so it's healing :)

Permanent makeup
I have not done any tattoo recently apart from the highlighter and it is very discreet, so that point is not part of my preparations this week, but for the whole to be this good without makeup, the tattoos make a big difference. Brow tattoo, black lashliner between the lashes, light inliner along the waterline, and then the lips are also tattooed. Gold worth! I have also made brown lashliner on the lower lash line but it has faded so much so hardly worth mentioning hehe.

Eyelash permanent (lash lift), lash color and eyebrow color
This point is what I enjoy most right now, nice lashes and eyebrows right when you wake up in the morning and no matter how much you bathe! I do not mind looking unmade up but still want to feel "a little extra" on holiday, this makes the trip feel even more luxurious if possible! :)

I do not usually wear permanent eyelashes so often because I do not want the lashes to be in the way when I take photos step by step of my make-up. It lasts for a whole 2 months type. But we did a pretty soft bend (varies according to the choice of coil) you can lift them even more with other coils, and then we just put permanent liquid in the bottom of the lashes and not all the way up to the tops, and we also had a shorter duration than what you usually have. The result is as I wanted - a suitable bend that makes them visible when I look, but it should not be worst lashes, and I am extremely happy with the result!

It was Olga who fixed mine and she is super good, I had to check the statistics in our booking system and she has done 574 eyelash permanents in one year! Crazy many really :)

I love my eyes right now, the mix of tattoos and the coloring I did this week. It is so natural at the same time as it gives a lot of effect!

Deep cleansing of the skin
This Sunday and yesterday, Miska and I basked and scrubbed ourselves properly! You can also do this in a really hot bath or a long shower if you do not have a sauna. Getting rid of dead skin cells before sunbathing makes the tan more even (if you, like me, have a tendency to get an uneven tan) and above all, it becomes much more durable.

In the face I have exfoliated the skin a lot, not with acids because you should not have it in the sun, but enzyme peels and deep cleansing face masks I have used extra the last 2 weeks and alternated with moisturizing masks because otherwise my skin can get a little irritated. It has made a very big difference and my skin shows that it appreciates it too, does not have a single large pimple right now which is not the norm :)

Manicure
While we lit the sauna yesterday, I sat in front of the fire and fixed manicures on my nails. I will not actually paint nail polish on the trip because I do not have the strength to take it with me and improve / redo. But I still want nice nails!

After the renovation at home, my nails have been chaos, but I have been good at lubricating the last 2 weeks and the cuticles are already starting to become themselves again. Yesterday I fixed the cuticles with cuticle remover, filed, polished (only a little where it is needed most, do not want thinner nails) lubricated with nail oil and hand cream.

In addition, I painted them with IsaDora's new Rock Base Nail hardener & ridge filler! This should actually be allowed to accompany the trip. Have only tested it once before yesterday's manicure and the first impression is very good actually, I have a lot of streaks on the nails but they are barely visible at all with this and the nails become easily shiny and look very well groomed.

Pedicure on my feet I did in the sauna! Scrubbed the heels and fixed, and then afterwards I did a cuticle remover on the cuticles on the toenails as well and actually put IsaDora Rock Base on the toenails as well, and lubricated with foot cream and cuticle oil. The feet were like new, almost that they are too nice for my old flipflops now haha!

Here I tested it for the first time, it was before the manicure, but you can see that the nails look healthy, should have photographed a role model actually because there is a big difference! However, must test more to be able to come back with a proper review, this is just my first impression.

Right now I'm as ready as you can get haha, Mexico here I come!

Maybe I should add if there is someone new who reads even though you all know it already, that all treatments I have done with permanent makeup and lashes and eyebrows are done at my salon Creative Makeup :)

Get rid of green hair (with red wrap)

Is it possible to get rid of green hair effectively? Answer yes, my life as a greenhead is now over! :)

I loved having turquoise hair! Now, however, it is just a bubbly but very visible light green tone in the lengths. Not a particularly fun color anymore. But a little too green to fade away too, it would probably be a crazy blonde color I think.

But do you know how I fixed this super fast in the shower when I was still washing my hair?

Red hair wrap!

I still had wrapping that my hairdresser mixed for me from when I was red-haired before and got a flash of genius. Red neutralizes green, so theoretically the red should get rid of green hair even though it is just a colored wrap.

And do you know? This was true not only in theory, but also in practice! Look so nice:

It's like you see not only blonde with some green shifts, but it really is a green hair color.

To get rid of this much green hair, I used the wrap directly in the hair. But if you only have green shifts, mix in just a click in your hair wrap or conditioner.

Now it changes a bit in pink, which I just think is nice. In most candles, it blends together very well in my natural outgrowth color and does not look pink at all. You can almost believe that it is my natural hair color in the whole hair :)

Very pleased!! Almost harder that I did not realize before that it was so easy to get rid of green hair, then I would have done it before;)

The packaging Maria Nila Color Refresh Autumn Red (adlink) is great! I have used it a lot, even when I was completely redheaded. Pink also works, I have used Maria Nila Color Refresh Pink Pop (adlink) also and also it works brilliantly. Both red and pink neutralize green.

Beauty packing before sun holiday

As you know, we travel to Mexico on Saturday! We leave early in the morning and I work long days Mon-Fri so I have started to prepare the packing already and do a little every night.

So I thought I would take the opportunity to show you what I should take with me on the road to beauty! I love when others make such posts, not necessarily for product tips but to see how everyone thinks and prioritizes, it's so much fun :)

I personally am the experts' expert at packing too much with me, and at the same time I hate when I do. I want as light a bag as possible and above all as little as possible to unpack again when I get home later haha.

So this trip I have really decided to pack light in the beauty way! I have not photographed hygiene items such as deodorant, tops, razors and such because it felt a little redundant. But I'm so damn proud of my light beauty pack now actually! Good job Helenis!

I'm the toilet king haha, I love toiletries! Everything in its place and order in the luggage.

Make up
Do you see?? So little!! I wonder if I will regret it haha, but the idea is that I will not put on so much make-up. I am so prepared with lashes, eyebrows and permanent makeup so it only needs a little refreshment if I want to feel nice. And then I bring some eye shadows and lip colors if I want to have achieved more make-up :)

Mineral Foundation gloMinerals Pressed Base in a too dark shade (now) which is the fastest way to even out skin tone and reduce oiliness.
Lip pencil from gloMinerals (Coral crush) and matte lipstick from GloMinerals, pink shade Rumor and red shade Bombshell :)
Pixi shea butter lip balm, colored lip gloss, can not do without this!
Pixi eye bright primer, if I want to apply eye shadow, I have to have a primer!
Pixi Minimal Makeup Palette, highlighter, contouring, blush and 4 eye shadows in one palette. So good! (Unfortunately out of Pixi's range)
Brynpenna, gloMinerals Miro Brow Liner (Ash)
Pixi Illuminatint Tint & Conceal (2 Nude), day cream with spf 20 and concealer in the cork. Best holiday product!
Magnetic lash mascara, I am going to have permanent lashes today so I may not want mascara at all, but in that case it may come with it!
gloMinerals Shadow Palette (Mixed Metals) with eye shadows for both dark and light make-up if I get a little feeling :)

And then make-up brushes of course, but I did not photograph them now, I have to wash them before I go.

Body care & sunscreen
The perfume Moment of Happiness (adlink) from Yves Rocher, very healthy and good!

Sunscreen 50 in spray form from Vision Haircare (adlink), not completely impeded by this, however, as I think it gets a little sticky on the skin, but you want to use up the things you have at home and it is absolutely ok!

Sunscreen 50 for the face from ACO (adlink), I think this is good! No wow formula but sinks in well and does its job :)

A body lotion Yves Rocher Repair Lotion Extra Dry Skin (adlink), really lovely to lubricate yourself with after the shower. It is very thick and sticks to the fat but still not sticky at all.

I need to buy the cleaning new from Sanctum, which I will fix at work later today, so it was not allowed in the picture. But since I have to pack light, this is the only thing I add for the face.

Morning and evening cleaning, Sanctum Cream Cleanser
Infinatura Cura Oil in the face morning and evening, like an oil serum.
On the spot on pimples and Eye balm around the eyes
During the day I have ACO sunscreen as a day cream and at night Sanctum Night conditioning Cream.
My favorite spray Pixi Glow Mist must join too! Perfect to spray on when the skin needs more moisture. It contains a lot of oil but does not get particularly oily on the face but it sinks in nicely. I usually spray on the décolleté as well, where I usually rarely have the strength to lubricate myself, but spraying on this is so quick and easy!

Hair washing
I'm just saying one thing - Hairology Multi treat! It is not so light, a can with 400 ml haha, BUT so worth it as it complements several other products. Thanks to it, it is enough with travel packaging of ordinary shampoo, conditioner and wrapping (should be enough for both me and Miska) as you also see in the picture.

Multi treat is a hair and scalp wrap that is cleansing and incredibly caring, moisturizing and soothing to the skin. Multi-products are usually a bit half-baked on everything but I am completely sold on this and can not do without. On the trip I will use it as:

Shampoo, wrapping and conditioner - I usually shower my hair 1 max 2 times a week, but now you will want to rinse it out every day and then it is enough with this so the hair is both clean and smooth afterwards!
Face Mask - Incredibly nice as a face mask, especially if you need to soothe the skin, which I will probably need despite sunscreen 50.
After sun - The same applies to the skin on the body if I need after sun, this really cool when you have burned yourself.

I am a reseller of Hårologi on Creativemakeup.se and want to emphasize that the product itself only describes itself as a hair wrap that is skin caring and works as a shampoo and conditioner. That it works as a face mask and for burns is my own invention!

The shampoo is Hairology FILE Shampoo, the hair wrap is Hairology FILE Intensive Cure and the conditioner is Hairology FIL / FIB Conditioner. The multi treat and conditioner can be ordered as usual, but for the more active shampoos and hair wraps, you need to send in your hair for analysis first. Read more about it here!

Dry shampoo is a must for me too, what would it look like if I left without it!

And then Hairology Flexi Spray which we do not have in the range yet but I am considering taking it in because I use it a lot myself. It is a caring spray that also has UV protection, perfect in Mexico!

But just such a thing that I have been good and poured things in travel packages around the corner, how diligent ??

I will not bring any nail polish with me at all, it will be a home manicure before we go then I can use Infinatura cura Oil (as I wrote above) as nail oil and maybe something caring on the nails that gives a little shine. But I do not want to keep improving on abraded nail polish colors and stuff, you can not bear it :)

Are you impressed with me? Is it just me who thinks this is an easy pack in the way of beauty or do you get worried about how I should cope? Lol.

It can slip down some more product at the last minute then, you never know;)
