News from Oriflame

The other day a fun press release came with news from Oriflame, which I was going to show you now. I think I will review everything (if you are interested?) But have already tested all products a bit and can say that my first impression is very good!

I even think that the mascara can be an addition to the favorite mascara pile;) And the lipsticks do not come far behind.

The products were launched on 14 August and are therefore already in stores!

Oriflame expands The ONE series with lipstick, mascara and brow kit that has been around before and now comes in an updated version.

oriflame-brynkit

Oriflame The ONE Eyebrow kit contains two cold brow shadows, one light and one dark, as well as a brow wax. The previous palette contained an included brow brush, but now it contains two so you do not have to have the same brush for both shadow and wax.

I have liked these shadows for a very long time, and since the shadows themselves should not be changed, I can already say that the palette is super good!

And smart with two brushes I think, but you probably can not make worse brushes haha. Included "free stuff" in all its glory, but sometimes it feels like they could just as well have skipped that detail. But they do not bother either :) Costs SEK 145.

oriflame-mascara-spinning

Oriflame The ONE Instant Extensions Mascara is a fiber mascara that is adapted to give long and separated lashes - just to my taste. It has a spiral brush that is there to take up a lot of mascara to also give volume, which I usually do not like as it easily gets sticky on my lashes, but my first impression of this was incredibly positive. But I always have to use a mascara more times to be able to write a review :) Costs SEK 159.

oriflamelipstick

Oriflame The ONE 5-in-1 Color Stylist Lipstick Intense Collection is a series of 10 lipsticks (I got home three of them) and all of these are colorful, full coverage has a semi-matte finish. I have tested them a little and they are comprehensive, incredibly pigment-rich and can barely be felt on the lips. They are also moisturizing and contain, among other things, goji berries, jojoba oil and avocado oil. It costs ISK 129.

Nice products huh? :) Do you want to see more detailed reviews?

No makeup makeup

Today I made up Frida who is going to dinner and wanted some Helena help :) She has been unmade up all summer and it was not a "fine dinner" so she just wanted to look a little fresher than before, so we did a no makeup makeup with very little makeup - and a lot of shine. I love luster! Especially when I make up others :)

fridis

Nice, is not it? Very natural, but still the difference is quite large.

Products I have used:
Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Illuminating)
Foundation - Zuii Organic Powder Foundation (Cream)
Shading - Paese Bronzing Powder (1M)
Rouge - Paese Powder Blush (40)
Lysterpuder - Paese Glow Powder (11)
Eyebrows (pencil + gel) - Pixi Natural Brow Duo (Deep Brunette)
Brown fringe marking - Paese Kashmir eyeshadow (604)
Black mascara - LCC 18 Hours Mascara
Lip Gloss - Paese Balm Lip Gloss (621)

IMG_2049_111

Here's what I did:
Apply luminescent primer all over the face.
2. Cover blemishes and irregularities with foundation. Leave the rest of the skin unmade up.
Apply bronzing powder in the deep parts of the face + along the eye line.
4. Wrap lustrous powder on the face high parts - cheekbones, chin, nose, forehead and cupid's bow.
5. Apply the same luster powder to the eyes - in the corner of the eye, under the brow bone and in the middle of the eyelid.
Apply blush on the cheeks (discreet, not too much)

7. Brush the eyebrows and fill them in with a pencil. Finish by combing in bristles so that they lie neatly all day.
8. Make a brown lash mark (read this post if you want to see how to do)
9. Bend the lashes, and paint mascara on a clean mascara brush (so as not to have so much mascara on the brush) and apply on the lashes. Then they become natural and beautiful.
10. Finish with a little lip gloss.

Then it's ready!

IMG_2059_111

I finished by sweeping the luster powder on shoulders and legs as well :) Take care when it is summer and you do not hide the whole body under the clothes.

Hope you like the look and that the description was helpful to you too!

Refilling Pixi

Pixi's eyeshadow primer has been out of stock with my distributor for a long time, but now it has finally come home and is in stock again on Byher.se. It is my favorite primer that I have used in all the make-up that you have seen here in the blog lately :)

And Pixis concealer Correction Concentrate was also sold out even though I got it home in my latest delivery, it is so heavenly good, so now it is in stock again too!

Pixi Eye Bright Primer:

pixi-eye-bright-primer

♥ The eyeshadow primer comes in a smart pencil with an applicator that makes it easy to spread the cream on the eyelid. Screw in the bottom of the pen and a fair amount of primer will come out directly on the applicator.
♥ The texture is creamy and soft, without being sticky. Easy to spread on the eyelid and get even and nice. Apply directly with the pen, and then spread the cream evenly with your fingertip.
♥ Contains, among other things, chamomile that has soothing, moisturizing, healing and anti-inflammatory properties.
♥ Has a neutral light beige shade that makes the color of your eye shadow as nice as in the packaging.

Why use eyeshadow primer?
To make the eye shadow adhere better and become more colorful, and above all more durable. With an eye shadow primer during make-up, your eye makeup lasts from morning to evening! This is because the eyelids also become oily during the day (often even on people with dry skin) and with the stress when you also blink, in the end your entire make-up will be like two lines on the eyelid before the day is over - if you do not use an eyeshadow primer.

Here you see the difference of a purple eye shadow without and with the eye shadow primer from Pixi. The shadow adheres much better with a primer under:

Pixi Correction Concentrate:

pixi-concealer-before-after_111

Application
I use a small flat and compact makeup brush to apply, for example Nanshy Flat Definer Brush, then you get good precision and also you should not put your fingers in the jar so then a brush is great! You can then choose if you want to work with just the brush when applying, or if you, as I usually do - apply with the brush and then spread the paint evenly by dabbing with your fingertip.

You only need a tiny bit of the rough concealer to get full coverage, which is both economical and nicer.

Results
In just a few seconds, you have covered all the irregularities in the skin tone in an effective and natural way. It fits well all day and is great in every way.

In these pictures I have covered the blisters and a little redness around the nose, and brightened up a little under the eyes. The rest of the face is still unmade up in the afterimages.

You will find all Pixi products here!

We are opening a store in Uppsala!

28

It has been an incredibly exciting summer with lots of work and planning, and now we can finally start "taking on" the change that will take place in the company in the near future. Have you been curious?

You who follow me on snapchat (helenaronnblad) has already got a taste today;) and now I finally thought to share the new that is going on!

* Drum vortex *

Byher.se and Creative Make Up join us and open a shop / salon in central Uppsala !!!

cmubyherlogo-rosa

New premises
Annika Söderlund, who owns Creative Make Up, only works with permanent makeup, but has also sold some make-up and treatments in the salon. But the new concept is not a salon with products, but both a large salon and a large store!

Those of you who have been to Annika's salon before may think "it's getting crowded", but do you know what? We will move to a super large room on Vaksalagatan 30, with many rooms and a total of 367 sqm. It is located in the same building as Kvarnengallerian, you who know Uppsala know for sure what I mean if I say old Vålamagasinet?

We were there and started the renovation today, so I took some pictures before that I thought to bid on as well, I hope you think it's fun :)

IMG_1962_111

Permanent makeup
Annika who is as fully booked as a human being can be will expand her business with apprentices as well, so heavenly good :) You will get more info about this later, but there will be more times for permanent makeup and with the same results and guarantee as when Annika tattoos - fixed for apprenticeship prices!

Store
Byher.se will no longer be just a webshop, but now also a physical store! You can come here to shop on site, test products and get advice if you do not really know what you need. I know that I already have some webshop customers in Uppsala ♥

Here you see the future store:

makeup artist uppsala

Miska that fills the wall, and behind me I have two huge windows / glass walls facing Vaksalagatan. So you will not miss us if you walk by if you say so;)

Salon
In addition to buying make-up and getting expert help from professional makeup artists, we will also have a salon area with make-up places! We also employ a makeup artist (who has worked as a makeup artist in London, among other places before) who will work both in the store and with bookings. You will be able to book coloring of lashes and eyebrows, eyebrow plucking and eyelash permanent, and also make-up consultations and other make-up.

We will also start with make-up evenings! I get so many requests to have make-up consultations in groups, so much fun (and educational!) Thing to do with my group of friends. So I long for that :)

makeup uppsala

Here you see the future salon! Here we will have four large make-up mirrors and spruce up customers on conveyor belts. Outside you see Vaksala Torg and Uppsala Concert & Congress (music house).

Blog
In addition, I will have a blog and make-up room in the room, so now it is over that the kitchen table at home is also an office and make-up table in our little studio, but now I will go to work every day and fix everything there. So even though there is a lot going on with other things, I will still focus on the blog, and work in my makeup room most of the day, even though of course I will be in the store a lot too :)

That's why we will have a full-time makeup artist, because unfortunately I can not clone myself haha. So it will be great!

creative-make-up-by-her

And here is little me in my big blog and makeup room! ♥♥♥

Our opening hours
Weekdays 10-18
Saturdays 10-14

Premiere
We have just started with the renovation, it is a large room that will be three small for tattoos, etc., so there is a lot that needs to be done before we can plan the opening date for 100%. But most likely we will open the last weekend in September!

Summary
My small sole proprietorship becomes AB, and both Miska and Annika become co-owners with me. I suddenly go from working at home in soft pants all day, to limited companies with employees and a physical job with colleagues and the whole choir!

And not only that, Annika and I have an even bigger plan in parallel with this as well, which will take a super long time but it is so heavenly inspiring and I really long to tell you more about it too :)

It's going to be so much fun with all this! Just that it goes so well for the company and that we develop is really cool, but to have colleagues, a workplace to go to, physical customers that you meet and talk to, and at the same time do what I think is most fun even today - test products , blog and inspire, that's the dream! ♥

It was a long post this corner, I could talk for any length of time. Hope you have managed to read, and if I (against all odds hehe) missed to tell something, I will just be happy for questions :)

Big hugs to you! ♥

The most important products for a natural makeup bag

I have been asked several times to make a post with tips on products for a "starter kit" with the most important things you need for a make-up bag with only natural products. It has taken a while, but now I have taken up the matter! :)

Ingredients
When it comes to certain products, I do not think that 100% is important naturally, I love natural products myself, but that a certain part of the content is not, it can be positive for both the quality and the skin. Not all natural ingredients are necessarily good, and vice versa - not all synthetic ingredients are bad either.

But I absolutely think that you should try to have as much natural as possible, and I try to have it myself as well. It is better for both the environment and yourself, and I think we should take advantage of that as far as possible!

But a safe card that works well for most basic makeup, it's mineral makeup! Most mineral brands contain 100% pure minerals, and then you have both foundation, blush and sun powder fixed and completely natural :)

Products
Then what is important to use, it is very individual, but for a base make-up I would like to have at least these four products:
♥ Foundation (which can be covered more / less in different areas)
♥ Red
♥ Bryn (pencil, shadow or whatever you prefer)
♥ Mascara
These are the most important four that I had started with for a complete makeup bag. But personally, I had not managed so little;)

IMG_1920_111

Brands
Foundation & Rouge - When it comes to mineral makeup, there are several good brands, I like Zuii Organic most but also Yag mineral is great. 100% naturally, and they have both foundation, blush, concealer, and Yag mineral also has sunscreen.
BrynBenecos Eyebrow Designer is both good, affordable, natural and contains some organic ingredients.
Mascara - If you want a completely natural mascara that also has organic ingredients, Dr. Hauschka Mascara very good, it gives an everyday and mild result. My favorite though is Paese Adore 3D Lash Mascara, it contains 85% natural ingredients and gives separated and long eyelashes. It will be back in stock soon :)

Application of so few products
1. Clean your face and lubricate yourself as usual
Apply mineral foundation all over the face, and dab a little extra on any areas that need more coverage. Take a smaller brush if you want to use the foundation as a concealer, and dab more on e.g. pimples and the like. If you do not need much coverage at all, foundation is only enough for certain parts, and the rest of the face can be completely unmade up. And since mineral foundation is already dry, you do not need to fix with powder.
3. Wrap a little blush on the cheeks.
4. Fill in the eyebrows a little, or a lot;)
5. Highlight the eyes with mascara, apply on all lashes to open up and get a bigger look, or just on the lashes if you want a more uplifting result.

Then you can have a little more products depending on whether you have a problem area or want a more fun look, then you can supplement with a face primer (Zuii has natural that is super good) and eyeliner and lipstick / lip gloss to vary the makeup more. But these products are not a "must" in the makeup bag.

IMG_1920_111 copy

Summary
Starting from minerals, mineral makeup is super good and even other products that are not from classic mineral brands can also consist of a large amount of minerals, and it's great. Minerals hardly do anything with the skin, it does not clog the pores but still allows the skin to breathe. So even eye shadows, lipsticks and all that with minerals are largely natural and often very good. But remember that everything that is 100% naturally is not always good, and that synthetics are not necessarily bad. Often a good mix is the best :)

Byher.se focuses on a lot of natural makeup and also a lot of organic, and at the moment there is not a single brand that does not consist of natural ingredients. And nothing has been tested on animals!

Get in touch if you have any questions :) ♥
