Fun post!

As a blogger, I get a lot of mail, and of course I love every time you get home products that you just want to put your teeth into and start testing at once!

But some days it's more fun mail than others, and yesterday it was really a blissful, but fun, mix in the mailbox even though nothing was beauty products actually :)

* A makeup magazine that I subscribe to
* The magazine Obsess who has written an article about me
* A chocolate computer haha
* An invitation to an event at Berns
* A pen with my name on it
* A book I bought about "how brands grow"

Obsess is a newly started magazine with fashion and beauty that can be read obsessmagazine.com, this is the first issue so you can read it for free! But there are also printed versions in a few different places in Karlstad.

They contacted me a few months ago and asked some questions on which they have since based the text. Super cool! :)

The text starts like this:
From borrowing the big sisters' make-up already at the age of five to being nominated in the Blog Awards for this year's beauty blog. Helena is a successful makeup artist, makeup blogger and entrepreneur.

"It all started by accident" is about why I started a makeup blog from the beginning :)

God how shocked I was when I opened this package, so heavenly fun idea !! It is a chocolate box in the form of a computer where the keyboard is a chocolate cake, and of course they have also pasted a picture on my blog as well;)

The computer comes from MySafety which is an insurance against infringement and hijacking online that helps you pursue your case, and covers legal costs. Incredibly good initiative against cyber hatred! This applies to the dissemination of images / films, insulting texts, hijacking of identity, etc. They have an open online hotline around the clock.

Perfect for bloggers (those who do not have as wonderful readers as me ♥) but mainly I think that this would have been good when I was in my teens and was very exposed to online hate, and think this is mainly a good idea for teenage parents.

This one is half eaten already I can tell;)

IMG_9575_111

I probably got this pen as an entrepreneur and not a blogger, but perfect with a nice and good pen that can always be in your purse!

Now I'm going to clean up a bit here at home, because tonight Monica and Niklas will come here to be invited to dinner but also because Niklas (who helped me buy the photo studio stuff) will take a look at how I take photos and if I can do something even better. Really nice! But then the dust rats must be removed first;)

Hope you have a great Saturday too! ♥

Hand Balm from Mirins Copenhagen

I have tried a natural hand cream from Mirins Copenhagen and now thought to tell you what I think of it!

The cream contains very good ingredients and is nourishing for irritated and chapped hands, they become very soft and lovely when you have lubricated yourself :)

The ingredients are 100% natural and the cream contains almond oil, shea butter, beeswax, argan oil and essential oils from tea tree, lavender and cloves.

IMG_9534_111

A funny parenthesis that I have to tell you too - My sister is here now and it's so fun when you notice what connection you have as a sister. She smelled of this cream and I said it smells of tea tree and clove "clove… I'm just thinking about"I said and she ended my sentence with"My little pony!" Lol! Clove means cloves but both thought of the pony Clover which has a four-leaf clover on the ham :) And neither of us are direct My little pony fans should be added either haha.

Anyway…

This hand cream is a bit reminiscent of my body butters from Zoya Goes Pretty in texture, a bit more firm than liquid. Shea butter is quite firm at room temperature, but becomes soft immediately when you have it in your hands.

But I would actually rather use this for other parts of the body, e.g. dry elbows, etc. For hand cream, in my opinion it should be easy to apply on the go and go into the skin quickly, but then neither the jar format is smart nor that the cream is quite oily. It goes in relatively quickly but not enough if you are going away, but is more of a lubrication-in-the-evening-at-home cream.

In other words, a good cream for very dry skin that I like, but maybe not specifically as a hand cream. But you can choose yourself where you lubricate yourself :)

It costs SEK 100 Rideitbarefoot.se!

Everyday sweeping that enlarges the eyes

Hello!

Here is such a make - up that I wrote about in this post - many products that are not yet available for purchase. I try to spread these but sometimes it is not possible to not go bananas with everything new!

But if you see any gold nuggets in any make-up that you want to be able to buy eventually, then shout out as far as I know, so I do not miss any bestsellers in future orders :)

This make-up is a look that for me is a perfect everyday look, but is also suitable for a party for you who do not put on as much make-up. Tanned eyes with lustrous eye shadows that open up and enlarge the gaze. And then a neutral but pigmented color on the lips of it!

I think super nice, hope you agree with me!

Surely the lipstick is nice? Nice with color on the lips without it being particularly protruding :) It is Benecos Natural Lipstick in the shade Peach.

Light brown eye shadow deepest on the eyelid.
Brown eye shadow at the end of the eyelid and along the globe line.
Black eyeliner along the upper lash line and at the end of the lower lash line.
Light highlighter shadow in the corner of the eye and under the brow.
Black mascara on all lashes.

The light and light brown eye shadow comes from Beneco's Duo Palette Celebrate, and the darker brown shade is from Benecos Natural Quattro Eyeshadow in the shade Beautiful Eyes.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!

First working day at Creative Make Up!

As I have written before, I will for a while now work every Thursday at the salon Creative Make Up in Uppsala, and yesterday I worked my first day!

I was completely alone at the salon, but it went really well anyway :) I felt a little lost now and then among booking systems and all that technically, but it went surprisingly well to be non-technical little me haha.

IMG_9318_111

Annika sells a few different brands, but mainly GloMinerals, and I worked with that brand a lot before so I know most of the range already, super nice! But it's actually a bit difficult to drop my own webshop products and start from the ones at the salon. But it goes well :)

You who read my blog regularly have heard about Creative Make Up a lot before, but for the rest of you I can say briefly that the salon is mostly known for permanent makeup as Annika Söderlund who owns the salon does full time here, she is so good! But the salon also has other treatments + shop.

What I do here is mainly the classic color / pick treatments of eyebrows and lashes. I love all brow customers, so cool! In addition, I am here and keep the positions at the checkout, take bookings, answer questions, sell products, etc.

IMG_9330_111

A small mirror selfie before going home, I try to have as little makeup as possible so that customers can still see my tattoos :)

I only had three eyebrow and eyelash clients yesterday, but it was a lot of other "reception work" to do so time passed quickly anyway! And it's so nice that I'm so interested and knowledgeable in permanent makeup already, so it's no problem to answer all the questions when people call and wonder things, otherwise it would have been hard!

It is so that after blogging about my own tattoos for about 2 years now, I have received a lot of different questions from readers that I have forwarded to Annika to get exact answers, so I have learned a lot thanks to it ! In addition, I have done both eyebrows, eyes and lips myself, so I know exactly how the treatments work.

This is a nice cozy corner when you sit and wait. And when you come in and have taken off your outerwear, you get super cozy slippers to wear!

IMG_9332_1_111

Cozy huh? I have lived in these slippers all day :)

Are you eager to come to me (or do something else at the salon) then you can book an appointment at Creative Make Up online here!

It will be really nice to work here one day a week now I feel. I miss the social part so it's almost a bit like therapy to take "regular customers" sometimes haha. I talk to you every day, but it's far from the same thing;)

Now I will kickstart this day as well and start putting on make-up right now on the morning twig with a cup of coffee in hand. That's when I thrive the most ♥

Hugs are!

Lip pencil on the entire lips

"Fine! Would you like to do some kind of tutorial on how to apply your eyeliner wing? Think it's tricky! (classic!) Another question too: When you apply lipstick on the entire lips (and do not intend to apply lipstick) - do you have something under / over the lipstick for better results? ”

Super good when you ask questions and wishes so I get tips on what to show you! I showed an eyeliner tutorial yesterday if you have not seen it already :)

As for the lip pencil, it's a little different actually. But most of the time I only use lip pencil on the whole lips and nothing else.

This is because the reason why the lip liner lasts so long on the lips, it is precisely because it gets quite dry. A creamy product "slides around" on the lips and smears more easily when you drink, etc. If you have a creamy product under or over the lip pencil, that durability effect disappears a bit.

Here is a nice ombré lip that I made this summer with only lip pencil, read the post here!

But some lipsticks are a little too dry, so then I usually use a lip balm underneath before I apply the pencil.

Some lip pencils can also be quite creamy, and then I usually use a primer for the lips for extra durability! Nyx Lip Primer is a good lip primer that I can recommend.

Another tip to get more shine even though you have a lip liner on the entire lips, is to dab a little lip gloss or lipstick in the middle of the lips only. Either in the same color or a lighter shade, or transparent. Then the lips get a little more life and shape if you do not want completely matte lips :)

Hope you are happy with the answer! ♥
